Argueing In Asda and... I WON!

    Awake Dream

So I'm pretty sure there was something before this dream (basketball springs to mind) but I can't remember what so I'll just kick off from what I remember

I'm in asda, at a till. I'm buying a yellow tub off butter and my friend Alex is buying bread. We leave a gap between the next person and our stuff so that the person at the till doesn't get confused. An old man and woman come up and begin filling in the gap with their stuff.

For some reason I realise it's dark but it slips out of my mind when I see the old people. "Hey...Em-" I begin. The woman glares at me and tells me to be quiet. I try again but she does the same thing. I'm pretty damn angry now, so I start to shout at her. I tell her that she can't just push in wherever she wants, life's not like that about anything and she's also an old hag.

She looks pretty shocked and her husband does nothing to defend her so I guess he agrees with me

Alex grabs my arm and pulls me away. She folds her arms and asks me what the hell that was all about.

"Hey, she can't just do that! I was sticking up for you!" I mutter. This place looks like space mountain at Disneyland. It's still pretty dark, I've forgotten all about my butter. She tells me that i'm angry all the time and that I've got to let it out somehow.

Suddenly I'm in what looks like a desert, but it's actually my school playing fields. The fences of the astro have disappeared too. I realise I've volunteered for teenage army training program (eek!). Surprisingly after a few runs and bodyweight exercises, the instructer tells me I'm his favourite student. He puts me and another two people
(I'm sure they were people from my class but I can't remember who they were) up for a challenge against the rest of the group.

There's dark coloured sand along the edge of the "field". It's about 3 metres wide. The rest of the group are split into sub-groups and placed along the edge of the dark sand. The rest of my group (two boys) and I are placed at the end furthest away from the school. The instructer pulls us in close and whispers to us that the dark sand is safe but the light isn't. He tells us that we've to make it back to the school without touching the light sand. The groups are going to try to push us off the dark sand but we must get past them or we will be swallowed by the quicksand.

Instead of feeling afraid, I feel oddly determined. I glare at the groups along the path to safety, and know that it's about stealth, not just speed. Because keeping up the speed (especially on sand) to make it all the way to the school will be pretty damn hard. When the bell goes, I run.

I run fast enough to sprint whenever I want and slow enough to keep my stamina up. When I get to the first group, doubt begins to settle in my stomach, but it just makes me altogether more determined to survive, because if I hit that light sand I know I will die.

I dodge past the first few people who fire themselves at me, and then someone grabs my arm. I snarl, and kick them. I manage to knock the wind out of them so I can yank myself free. I keep running. It continues on like this until I reach the area near the school. I've won!

I look back, and realise one of my group are having trouble. "C'mon!" I shout despretely. "You're almost there! Run!" I see that he's not going to make it. Muttering to myself I run back. Dodging the last group, I grab hold of his arm and pull him to safety.

The other unfortunatly got swallowed up, but I grab the boys hand in mine and lift them into the air, glorified.
