Cities in the Astral

I had already had 3 DILDs this night, so when I pulled off a DEILD I decided to try something. I had been talking about SP in Mzzyk's thread, and wanted to see if it felt the same in REM as what I experience in nREM during the late stages of a WILD attempt. I focused on trying to feel my body in my bed. Yes, there it was. The dream imagery stayed and was very much REM, but I could now feel my body in the bed. It felt just like a late stage WILD SP experience. Well, would it be able to keep me from moving through concious will? SP in nREM has never kept me from using will to over power the SP. I decided to sit bolt upright in bed. It happened with little effort. Some may be shocked and think I wasted an LD, but like I said, it was the 4th in a night.
I am not sure if I learned anything, but clearly true REM atonia feels the same as what some members argue is not SP (late WILD experience) and REM atonia has no more power to immobilize me if I use concious will than standard WILD SP.
