The Cusp

Going to start keeping a public dream journal again for some shared dreaming. Should make it easier to accomplish and verify.

Fragments: PoE. Dungeon running, throwing spectral blades, close calls with death.
Started playing Path of Exile again, playing hardcore in particular, which is more intense and demands more attention. It's been having a dominating influence on my dreams. Going to have to stop playing before bed.

Classic Tooth Dream

I notice one of my bottom front teeth is really loose, ready to come out. I'm not happy about it, but at least it's small and won't show that much. I yank on it and it comes out easy.

I thought the rest of my teeth were fine, but now all the rest of my front teeth have kind of fallen over on themselves. It's like they were all leaning on that one tooth I pulled for support, and with it gone, everything else just fell over.

I begin removing all my front teeth, and when I do it just leaves a black hole behind it, no view of the inside of my mouth. I get down to the last tooth, my bottom right canine, and that one won't come out. The problem is, that tooth has a metal bar on it leading to my left bottom canine which did come out. Now that bar is just kind of hanging there in the way, catching on stuff. I try to twist it off, but end up with it protruding from my mouth at an odd angle so that I can't even close it!

Fucking tooth dreams! I should know better than to trip into one of those by now. Second rule of dream control, the more attention you give something, the more related detail it creates.

Swiss Army Sword

Someone pulls out this super long swiss army knife. It's normal width, but about the length of a claymore. Along the sides where the tools and blades fold out, these razor sharp silver crystals have formed, creating an absolutely brutal cutting edge. Especially considering many of those pieces would break off in the flesh when you hit someone with it.

The guy says "This is a powerful sword" and hands it to me. Those sharp crystals run the entire length of the thing, leaving nowhere to grip it. I wonder how it was used as a sword. Adding a handle would just make it too long.

I hold it by the front and back so as not to gore my hands, when I notice those sides are covered with scaly metal crystals as well. They are really fragile and crumble under the pressure of my fingers. Not wanting to be to one to break this supposedly powerful weapon, I throw back to the guy like a hot potato.

Seems the influence of that game mixed with my recent obsession of prospecting. Not a bad mix.
