Gray Hulk: OriginsI see some framed comic books on the wall, and grab one to look at. It's the origin story of the gray Hulk. I see a lab where they are doing experiments on a cellular level. Recombinant DNA experiments that only have a 0.01% chance of producing something useful. Then I see two glowing green cells, from the original Hulk, and then the gray Hulk's face slowly fade into the scene.

Pulling back from the cellular level to the macroscopic world, the scientists who were working on this experiment are nothing but smears of blood. A military guy say that whatever they saw scared them so much, they committed suicide. To me it looks like something squished them after they were dead. In fact everyone in the project is nothing but a smear of blood, and there is no sign of whatever did that to them.
I pop out of the story, back to holding the comic book, and decide I like this dark re-imagining of the story.
Doctor Who: Universal ImplosionDoctor who is standing there, and things around him are fading out of existence. First it's various people that disappear right in front of him, then more important characters. Davros is one of them, which would normally be a good thing, but his existence is essential , otherwise the universe would unravel, which is exactly what seems to be happening.

Soon The Doctor is the only thing left in the entire universe, which is imploding around him, crushing him into a singularity of golden light. Everything is gone but him, and just as he's about to wink out of existence too, he vows to remember everything. Apparently this was all it took to restore the universe, because after the golden flash of the implosion, everything is restored, and the Doctor is standing there with everything normal.
