How do you enter the Void?

      Hey there,
a lot of people fear the void but my question now:

What is your ways to enter the void on purpose?

i sometimes experience loss of visuals but still feel in the same environment and hear and feel things. Some would reference this as the void too but i want to know how you enter a full blown void?

I manage to enter the void by opening a portal or passing thru a mirror. behind a portal there is no new dreamscene. i just enter blackness without the feeling of falling. from there i can visualize a new scene that appear some seconds later.

So share your Ways of entering the Void!

Can't say I've purposefully tried to enter the void, I think I read somewhere that falling backwards can do this. Otherwise you could try teleportation.

Imagine a hole in the dreamscape that leads to the void and go in the hole. You don't even have to see the hole; just pretend it's there.

I often enter a void. It's very peaceful. I imagine it below my bed and then fall through. This is my WILD technique. If I'm already dreaming, I will trigger a DEILD and then fall through the bed, or just fly far enough into outer space.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Usually I'll be in a void when I realize I'm dreaming. Darkness surrounds me and from it I have to begin focusing and creating a scene, it will usually emerge before me. I can't stay in the blackness for long, I wake up if I'm in it for too long.

What I truly consider the Void in my own experience is the kind of senseless sleep I enter when I nap, usually when I'm tired. It's like my consciousness just completely turns off. I only realize I was in the Void when I wake up, consciousness reboots and the world seems totally weird after that, as if it is coming out of no where.

I'm not sure that "entering it" is the correct way to find yourself in a void, as that implies that the void is somewhere else and that you "physically" go there in your dream body, neither of which is the case.

The void is always present in your dreams (and in waking-life too, I suppose). It is what is left after you've removed everything else from your environment. It is basically an absence of stimuli and of stuff, where the only presence is your dream-bodyless Self.

So for me one way to conjure a void is by removing everything from my dream, allowing Nothing to remain. Another way is to WILD at bedtime, when the perfect void of Delta sleep can be experienced without any removals. Also, a less perfect void can be experienced during regularly scheduled late-cycle DEILD's or WILD's that have you reentering sleep during NREM -- less perfect because, during late-cycle sleep, your consciousness is a bit more connected to the physical world, so sensations of "something" tend to creeep into your place of nothingness.

Whatever method you might use to conjure a void is well worth the effort, though!

When I want to get in the void, just go ahead and big crunch the place I'm in and then dissolve my consciousness.
Also sometimes will create a micro world without anything in it and then go in.
Or make a space/barrier that blocks the world around then go inside.

There are several ways actually, the point of dreams is to be creative, right?

I sometimes enter the void by reminding myself that there are possible false awakenings incoming. At the end of rem, you expecting another FA, but there is only a void and you are lucid in it.

this can be also a way to teleport. to just imagine a rift or a hole in the dreamscape and continue from there. i never tried it but i can imagine i will have some problems with this. i am bad at pretending unrealistic events like "i see no rift but yea it is there i just move thru it"... but i am practicing this and on the long run it is an important lesson for sure!

i never tried to stay in the void. i always imagine or visualize a scene from there and sooner or later it appears. i actually might try to stay there or dont actively think of a new scene and see what happens. thanks for this idea^^

i have chosen the phrasing "to enter the void" because in my experience i "entered" it thru a portal^^ but i see that technically you dont move at all^^
i understand your view and reasons for the void. i didnt consider them but was more like: black screen and from there new scene and not "enjoying or experiencing" the nothingness but i see that i was a little narrowminded with that.
i am not good enough in dreamcontrol to actively remove everything from the dream and make it blank or make it white like in matrix or something. therefore i "enter" it... but to blur and change and remove my sight/view is one of my to do´s for soon^^

your answer like sageous is more profound than what i aimed or expected. the words i wrote for sageous actually fit to your answer too. i am not that good yet to just create a micro world or a space or something but i know atleast one way for me to reach the void and i am interested in ways similar to your suggestions

uh a very thin line to think about FA and awakenings in general that would lead to just wake up... dont know if i want to experiment with this soon

Thank you all for your answers

Hmm, what is the void actually?

I mean, for me it's like a pitch black space where it feels as if your mind floats without the body. Is this it, or are there other defining traits?

Assuming that I'm thinking about the right thing, I usually enter it via going to sleep in the lucid. I mostly use this to teleport - this is my favorite teleportation method by far since it's the most "precise" for me (and in dreams I doze off on command). I also end up there when a dream fades if I manage to stop the waking up process, and from there it's like creating a new scene.
