How did you like that train assault sequence with the robots?? Haha.

Allegedly, there will be a lot more storyline, in the Director's Cut, that we didn't get to see.
The train scene was sick. The swooping camera angles with the bullet time and super high speed mix in it was just crazy. I honestly think they made that movie for us man. Dude....and the mech scene...it was like a steampunk king kong remix....every frame of that movie was just SICK. I get goosebumps thinking about the scenes in there. I'm defiantly getting it for Blur-Ray...and I may even buy the soundtrack.

I wish that part was longer. It was seriously one of the best close-quarters fire-fights I've seen in a very long time. I think the part where Baby Doll jumps in and slices the robot in half - and then goes into that badass combo, fighting off multiple robots at once - is my favorite part of the movie.

      No joke!

Yeah, man. It was awesome. The imagery and the symbolism. I love how obscure some of the symbolism is. Subtle details of the fantasy missions and the way they correspond to what's happening in the 'brothel.' I can't believe how many people are hating on this movie. (Well, I can, but it's kind of sad, if you ask me...)

I'm not sure if I have a favorite scene...the whole movie was a screen saver.

It's the second movie that I've watched in theaters twice. (The first being kill bill) Oh wait....I take that back....the third movie, I forgot I went to watch Players Club twice but that was more of a "I get to see nudity" thing. But anyways, this freaking movie is epic.

Got two words for you: Director's Cut!

Snyder says that he was forced to cut sooooooo much from this movie, including some sick gun battles, and the racier parts of the storyline.
      I'm fairly excited.

Had to watch Oldboy again last night, what a masterpiece.

^ You guys are really making we want to see this. I'll probably wait for the director's cut on blu-ray though, I'm somewhat of a movie snob so I'd rather watch the un-cut story and see his original vision. I'll save my theater money for Limitless or Source Code, hopefully this weekend.

Ok, but I think you have your priorities mixed up.
The way I see it: If you have to choose...see the huge, mind-twistingly visual spectacles at the theaters (especially when they happen to have interesting enough story and atmosphere), and see the more dramatic, less-aesthetic movies on the smaller screen....

That's just my way of doing things, though.

      That is true.

Last night I saw Hustle and Flow for the first time, PHENOMENAL. Acting was great across the board, every character was really well developed. Great story, great music. I highly recommend it.

Just got back from Sucker Punch.

Hot damn, this one is a monster!
I liked the mission idea, the angles of the camera and ofcourse the action scenes, which could have been waaaay more in my opinion
And it was pretty original too, didn't really expected the way the movie played, although I left with a little feeling of non-completeness, but I reccomed it and if Oneironaut is right, I'll definitely see the directors cut.

I saw two movies this weekend, Insidious and Limitless.

Insidious wasn't that scary but I must admit, there were a few parts that made me jump, horror movies are my favorite genre so I am used to them, and sort of immune xDDD I did like it thought, it talked about astral projections which was a main part of the plot, which made me happy because it is associated with LDing

I saw Limitless yesterday, and I love it and Bradly Cooper is sexy so that is a plus...I wish this drug actually existed to its extent...I would use it for LDing xDDD I loved this movie a ton and really recommend, I'm not really going to give a lot away though

I think I might have posted about this when I saw it for the first time in theaters, but I saw the Black Swan again and wanted to post an updated review. The first time I saw it I thought it was really confusing/creepy/strange. But this time around I understand it more as I realize that the main character is struggling with schizophrenia, so in a way all the weird scenes make sense. It was actually really interesting to see inside a schizophrenic mind(well, they probably exaggerated it a bit in the movie) and overall I thought it was a really good movie. I would recommend anyone who is interested in psychological thrillers to see it.
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

I agree with that feeling of non-completeness. It's the main reason I want to see the director's cut. It's already well-known that the movie is very trimmed-back from what it originally was, so I'm just anxious to see what parts of the story might have been taken out. (I already know about a sequence between Baby Doll and the Lobotomist...)

I know what part you mean. I hope for more clarity in general, because there are a lot of things that left me wondering ( mostly because of the theories and discussions I've read on the internet)

But one way or the other, the movie was awesome, and the music was cool. I can't really understand why so many movie reviewers rated it so low..
It's like they only see the action scenes, and not the deeper "mental" picture.

Watched a couple martial arts movies with my sis's bf yesterday, Bloodsport and Dragonball: Evolution, and liked both more than I would have expected. I'd seen a bit of Dragonball Z and never been a fan, but they did a good job of boiling it down for the movie. Bloodsport was a formulaic 'tournament' film with some pretty jarring '80s tunes backing a couple of montages, but it was decently plotted with great fight scenes.

I'll admit my mental state was altered in a way conducive to enjoying movies at the time, and I was coming at it with only one expectation (monkeybeast: check), but I found it entertaining and the action scenes sufficiently awesome. It's also my 10-year-old nephew's current favorite movie, for what that's worth

Jackass 3. It was alright, though I liked the first 2 better. A lot of the gags are getting pretty stale nowadays

"its a boy girl thing" the name of movie which saw last this noon. Its good movies but plot is much inspired with the movie "Freaky Friday". In this movie souls of boy & girl interchange and their life sucks. Then some good things happens and they both understand each other better. Overall good movie you can watch it.

I just watched Eragon, and overall it was pretty terrible, but maybe worth watching just for the visuals (costumes and scenery as well as effects). I've also recently seen Battle Los Angeles, which was decent for what it was: a remake of Independence Day as a platoon-bonding war movie.
