Passchendaele. It was pretty syrupy, but I managed to sit through the entire thing... Probably wouldn't watch it again unless I had to.

      And then I watched Zodiac.

the one with Jake *insert last name here because I'm gonna misspell it* ?
I love that movie, it is one of my all time favorite movies. I enjoy it so much!
what a coincidence, on the attractive man thread there was discussion about how much Jake G was in it, my most recent movie was the Source Code with Jake G, then you mention this one. He is everywhere.

I'm really gonna feel like a dumbass if I'm talking about a different movie than you

      He really is everywhere!

Relaxed and had a Marvel movie marathon last night... Saw Thor in theatres, which wasn't anything special. When I got home, I watched X-Men and X2 (which I hadn't seen in forever), Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, and Spiderman 2.

Nice, Puffin (X-2, Iron Man and Spiderman 2, FTW!). May go see Thor tonight. I'm hearing some pretty mediocre reviews, though, which I can't say surprises me. I'll definitely see it sometime while it's in theaters, though, regardless.

Saw Thor and loved it. It appealed to my love of Norse mythology, and I've always liked stories that mix elements of fantasy with the "real world." Don't really care that it had its fair share of cheesy and predictable moments or that it followed the cookie-cutter action/fantasy model for films or that some of the character relations were "meh" on the surface. I still applauded when the good guys had their moments to shine. Was good times. Visuals were also very appealing. yaaaay

Has anyone else seen the movie May, or am I the only one. I dont think it was that big of a movie but it had the main girl from the scary movie series and another semi famous male actor that I've seen in other movies. Oh its Jeremy Sisto, I looked him up. I guess he was in Law & Order, but I dont watch that. He was also in some other movies I've seen such as Wrong Turn and Thirteen. Thirteen is a really good movie, but it has a real dark side to it that is kind of scary because that has probably happened to many young teens. The other girl in it, Nikki Reed, grew up to be pretty hot. She was already really pretty in that movie Thirteen, and she is only one year onlder than me, im born in 89. But geez, she looks like shes 30 hahah. Very mature looking.

Watched The Wild Blue Yonder last night. I really enjoyed it.
Then today I watched Wheel of Time and enjoyed it as well.
Slowly working my way through all of Herzog's films.
Re-Watching Burden of Dreams at the moment.

A Clockwork Orange. I loved it. They don't make good movies like that anymore.

I actually liked My Son My Son What Have Ye Done, but I can't pinpoint why exactly. To me it felt more of a Lnych film than Herzog, but I learned recently that he was practically not involved in the execution of the film. It had an interesting feel to it.

Aguirre, the Wrath of God is amazing, I agree with you. I have to watch that one again.

The Wild Blue Yonder is also rather weird, I guess. It's not for everybody. I would suggest just taking it for what it is and letting it flow over you. The pictures and soundtracks are beautiful and work very well together. It's kind of dreamy.

Wheel of Time is a documentary about the largest Buddhist Ritual, it's nothing out of the ordinary, but quite beautifully done and features some interesting shots and interviews, including the Dalai Lama.

Burden of Dreams is the documentary about the filming process to Fitzcarraldo. If you haven't seen the feature film yet I would strongly suggest you do, if you have go and watch the documentary. Those to go together, since the process of filming is just as intense as the film itself, if not more.

I am in the middle of Cobra Verde, another Herzog-Kinski Collaboration.

That one is actually quite untypical for Herzog I'd say. Not weird or crazy enough

Just watched Fitzcarraldo which was strange and weird, to be expected from Herzog. Gonna watch Burden of Dreams tomorrow.

I've seen Burden of Dreams but not Fitzcarraldo It's definitely on the list. The movie that sold me on Herzog was one of his more ordinary ones, Invincible. Besides those two I've only seen Grizzly Man, but all of the above were damned fascinating--I'm surprised I haven't been more motivated to watch more of his films.

The last movie I saw was animated, Thor: Tales of Asgard. If you belong to the class of people who are remotely interested in seeing a direct-to-video animated feature about a Marvel superhero, you will enjoy this film

Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. Awesome! Highly entertaining - really fantastic action scenes, and Captain Jack Sparrow is a hilarious badass as usual. I think the riddance of the Orlando Bloom/Keira Knightley plot really made this movie refreshing. I enjoyed all the new characters too. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for humor, action and entertainment.

I enjoyed it - storyline was a tad weak at some points, as in it could've used some more detail. But the effects were great.

I'm making a music video of it right now.

Anyways... watched Leaves of Grass last night. Love that movie.

A couple days ago I watched Paper Man, which to me was kind of a dark comedy disguised as existential drama, sort of the opposite of Donnie Darko. Halfway through I was afraid it was going to be really bad, but by the end I found myself pretty satisfied--the cast deserves a lot of the credit for that.
