Wake Wood, it was ok. Pretty slow, and you could see all the twists coming. The ritual was pretty cool though

Sinister sucked. Moonrise Kingdom was awesome.

Howling III. Not bad, special effects were meh. Hell of a lot better than Howling 2 (what isn't), but not nearly as good as The Howling.

If anyone knows any good werewolf movies, pm me. I'm dying to find some that don't suck

John Carter was fucking meh. Not god awful but it was barely able to keep my interest.

Brave was also pretty meh, nothing to write home about.

Prometheus was much better than I expected since everyone spent so much time hating on it. It was above average compared to everything else out of the franchise lately. I liked the theme a lot and the pace was also very nice.

I also watched a couple documentaries, one's called something like "The Most Dangerous Drug in the World" and it's about scopalamine which honestly scares the shit out of me. The other was "The James Holmes Conspiracy" which brought up some interesting points. If you take it seriously it makes the whole incident seem like some sort of Ghost in the Shell story arc.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I honestly can say that prometheus was quite a terrible movie. The characters where horribly underdeveloped and I felt like david the android was the only one with a bit of character. In all the like two hours I felt like I only knew each character for like ten minutes. In total there was like three main scenes in the entire movie, they didn't go into any setting or storyline much. I didn't feel that feeling I got from I am legend or book of eli when I saw the woman driving off into the distant.
It felt as uncohesive as some of the stories I wrote when I was 8. I'd give it a 2/10.

What disappointed me the most however was the fact that in the trailer it looked like the main character was running away from huge alien robots. But it was just a rolling crescent shaped spaceship strategically placed to make it look like something amazing.
If anyone has two hours to spare, don't spend it watching this movie.

I don't rate movies on a 1-10 scale because well... if I put The Fountain at 10/10 then yeah, Prometheus would probably rank 2/10, but what does that say about John Carter? 0.5/10? Out of all the movies I've decided to finally sit down and watch recently, Prometheus was the best. That doesn't mean it was good, just easiest to enjoy. Frankly despite all of your arguments, which are valid, it's still better in my opinion than James Cameron's Avatar. But that's not saying much, Avatar, John Carter and all that nonsense has more cohesive stories certainly but they're also tasteless and shallow and tacky and empty. At least Prometheus made an attempt (though a failed one) to create something intriguing.

I may be leaving out some things but um.

      Men in black III Sucked
Amazing Spider-Man....8/10. He played a better Spider-Man, but a worse Peter Parker....it's really not that hard to play both roles, but apparently it's turning into the modern day swan lake lead.
Think Like a Man...pretty funny movie, helped me rethink things about relationships....in a good way, or at least I hope it did.

I know what you mean about rating movies on a scale, I only really did it to make a point. Now that I think back, I hate it when they give a movie or game 95/100 because it had a big budget and millions watched it.

Lars and the Real Girl: Probably the best indie movie I've seen since I watched Jeff, who lives at home. It was fucking hilarious but took itself so seriously, and every single actor in the film did a fantastic job with the exception of the girl who played Bianca, she seemed kind of lifeless. No but seriously this movie is fucking awesome, it's like A Walk to Remember with a sex doll. You can't beat that.

Perks of Being a Wallflower: It's not bad if you like those coming of age style movies. To be frank, I preferred The Art of Getting By to this one even though there's more drugs in this one and I should like it more, and there's actually lot's of things about Perks of Being a Wallflower that I really liked, it also made me feel contemplative afterwards which is the mark of a good movie in my opinion. I suppose I preferred Art of Getting By because it focused more on an existential crisis and better conveyed the subtleties of attraction between young, stupid kids. Perks of being a Wallflower was funnier, though. I can't compare Emma Watson and Emma Roberts, they're both extremely beautiful. Emma Roberts is a better actor, though. Granted it's possible Emma Watson was just too focused on trying not to fuck up an american accent, she couldn't even begin to process how to deliver her lines naturally. It's also possible she's just a shitty actress but cleverly covered it up with her sexy british accent. Anyways yeah it was definitely worth watching.

      The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Good movie not quite on par with its successor but it is good nevertheless.

      The Hobbit

I liked it. Some parts were almost exactly how I imagined reading it or even better. There were some minor disappointments though, and some scenes dragged on a bit. I'm glad that they decided to do it in two parts and translate the story better. I'm really excited for and see a lot of potential for the second movie, since it transitions at one of my favorite scenes where I thought the book started getting really good. Overall: not bad, pretty cool

Last one is if im not mistaken about the events between the hobbit and lord of the rings.

      The hobbit:
I thought it was really good, the actors where all perfect and I was constantly in suspense. Overall great movie, never read the book though so I have nothing to compare it too.

It was good.. I think. Hard to tell since I was only half awake during the midnight premiere. But from what I remember, it was very exciting. Definitely seeing it again.

I liked it very, very much! It was incredibly creative and different, and I think the only things I didn't like were that it was a bit long and the camerawork got a little excessive.

I did not really like it because I enjoy movies that have a good amount of action and suspense in them. The movie did have a deep moral, but was just too slow and uneventful. It had a few special effects that were pleasing to my eyes.
I really want to see The Hobbit! How do you guys think it compares to the book?

It's refreshing. While LOTR cut out everything, the Hobbit includes a lot of stuff that isn't in the book, or is just hinted at. But it's a little frustrating at the beginning because it seems like forever before they finally leave the Shire. The scene with Gollum was fantastic though, and Thorin Oakenshield is a fucking bad ass.
