I was on a Heroes of Might and Magic 3 kick for a few days, but now I'm back to the staples: SC2 and Tribes: Ascend.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I got Fraps and have been recording myself and the game while playing it because it's more entertaining that way.
Penumbra is an absolutely brilliant serie, I really liked it. You know you can kill the dogs if you wan't. After screwing around with the first dog you encounter throwing meat and shit and then hiding it's just completely useless and your better off just killing it. I don't know why but I actually think penumbra was scarier than amnesia, probably cause I'm constantly expecting something sick or mutated and there are no lovely warm fire places like in amnesia.

It is getting a bit scarier. I didn't know the dogs could be killed, that would make it a lot easier. I'll look up how to kill them now. Thanks.

EDIT: Ahh, I tried that before but I guess I hit them one too few times. They got back up so many times I assumed they just couldn't die.

I've been playing Ingress this past week and I'm not sure if anyone here remembers Emiko but she has codes left for it.

...here I am, back in 1997 playing Grandia. Most underrated game EVER (if you can get over the absolutely shit-tastic voice acting, that is!)

Halo 4. I'm trying to find one single thing I would call an improvement over Reach. So far, haven't found it.

I'm trying to find some other good multiplayer game to play with friends besides l4d2. Thinking of getting GTA4 (never actually played gta before) since there's a flash sale on steam for the next 4 hours and it's like $7.

Here's me playing l4d2 with friends, I and others were !@#$ing wasted.

I think the classes are more balanced, Active Camo got an Improvement, I like unlocking everything too. I also like unlocking Special armour and visors from doing challenges. My friend and I played together and he played more and got ahead of me, when He unlocked the visor for mastering assists I unlocked A helmet for Opportunity Medals.

Choosing Loadouts, setting them up, and unlocking more stuff for specialisations after lvl 60 and then every ten lvls afterwards is kool too.

The visual flair in the level design is definitely much improved over Reach, although I think Reach was a step down from H3 in that area. I think I'm mostly concerned with the horrible, ridiculous looking Spartan player models, they don't even look remotely military to me anymore. And Cortana has some amazing tits now, granted, but I think sexualizing that character is an absurd thing to do. Also Master Chief is suddenly quite chatty...

I'm still only 3 days into playing it so my judgments are early. I'm not sure about the weapon assortment.

There are two teams in Dota 2, the Radiant and the Dire. The map consists of three lanes leading to each side's 'Ancient'. Along these lanes are tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 towers which serve as protection against 'creep' waves which spawn at the start of each lane every 30 seconds. Each team picks 5 heroes and the aim of the game is to push down these towers, achieve a high amount of creep kills (and hero kills if possible) in order to obtain gold and items and eventually destroy the opponent's Ancient which resides in the central base. There are currently 88 'heroes' available for selection. Heroes are categorized as such - Strength, Agility and Intelligence. Strength Heroes have high amounts of HP. They serve as the 'initiators and/or tanks' for your team during teamfights. Agility heroes mainly serve the 'carry' role. They have high attack speed and physical autoattack damage  due to their agility gains and their abilities scale very well into the late game which means that with the proper item set they will win the game for your team, by overwhelming the opposing team. Intelligence heroes mainly serve the 'support/pushing/nuking' role. They are masters of the early game because they have high damage spells, which can serve to get hero kills or keep the carry hero alive as he farms up the necessary items to carry the team to victory. They taper off towards the mid/late game because their abilities and autoattack damage do not scale well into the late game. Hero composition is key to winning a game of Dota, as your game strategies will revolve around which heroes you choose to play. A very common beginner strategy is to pick two support heroes, 1 hero to solo the middle lane and therefore gain all the experience instead of having to share experience with a lane partner, a semi-carry/utility hero which gives your team a bit of competitive edge and of course the carry hero. Then there is lane assignment. Which heroes are put in which lanes is important too - typically you want a babysitting support hero to go with the carry hero in the 'safe lane' (top lane for Dire and bottom lane for Radiant) so he can farm the creep waves and get his items. The solo mid hero should be the hero with the most explosive power in the early/mid game because (s)he will be the catalyst for the team. By 'ganking' (a process where allies team up to kill opposing heroes) the side lanes a safe environment can be created for the carry to farm his items. Mix that in with some tower pushing and you will eventually win.

So yea.. that's what Dota 2 is about. You can check out some videos on Youtube. I recommend Dotacinema and Dota2 channels.

Just beat Adventure Time for 3DS. It was basically a Zelda II clone, though much less challenging. I thought it was pretty fun(ny).

Final Fantasy 4. It's my first final fantasy game. Before playing it, I always despised final fantasy games. I don't know why, maybe because I thought of it as a generic turn-based rpg series that's been milked since its conception or I thought that the whole series has one big storyline that's too hard to follow. Here I am now, playing Final Fantasy 4. I must say that it's a good rpg game. I just found out that each game has a different plot from the other. What struck me most is the Active Time Battle system. I was initially clueless at how the whole thing works. I had to battle random monsters just to learn how it works. The ATB system is a magnificent concept. It's constantly applying pressure on me whenever I encounter enemies. It makes the game more immersive. I'd give this game 8/10.

Also, why final fantasy 4 and not 1,2,3,etc? Because it's my favorite number .

Yep, definitely the high point, in my opinion, is 4, 6, &7.
8 & 9 were good too, after that I lost interest in the series. They introduced voice acting in 10 which I thought was quite horrible. But I really enjoyed those middle games.

I agree, from four to eight were my favourite. They're all master pieces. The still enjoy the incredible music nobuo uematsu made. Now they have all the cheesy voices and nothing is left to the imagination anymore.

Ghost Stories. It's a 1-4 player game where you take on the roles of four Taoist warriors trying to prevent the incarnation(s) of General Wu-Feng from finding his burial urn and turning the land of the living into the land of the dead. During the game, you strategically battle up to 60 ghosts, and Wu-Feng himself (or herself, depending on the incarnation) in a turn-based style. Each color player gets one of two special abilities unique to that color. On each of the nine locations on the village map, you can battle ghosts, or ask for a villager's help (each villager runs a different business). You lose if you run out of ghosts before finishing off Wu-Feng (unlikely), three village locations become haunted (very likely), or all active players die (also likely).

Oh yeah and it's a board game (it's co-op, too). Probably the hardest board game I've played, as after five games we still haven't won. It's also among the best board games I've played. Even once we win, there are three more levels of difficulty. And since there are 16 possible ability combinations, and 10 possible Wu-Feng incarnations, winning once on Initiate mode doesn't guarantee you're even close to reliably beating Initiate mode. I think there are over 40 unique ghosts, with the repeats having unique card art. The whole game is beautiful eye-candy, without being distractingly flashy, and none of the illustrated pieces are stylistically disjoint in any way.

Also, this is without a doubt the best co-op board game I've played. In other co-op games, you're working 'as a team,' in the sense that you're working toward the same goal, but often you're still idly waiting around when it's not your turn. This game requires real strategy and planning. You are always involved in the decision making process, and you want to be, because each player is really useful (in their unique ability, but also since helping plan the turns before yours makes your turns more effective).

I am playing Baldurs Gate 2, completed the first one a few days ago. The game turned me off at first but now I am liking it, its pretty addicting. I am also playing trackmania 2 canyon, a very fun arcade racing game, and shootmania will be coming out too, can't wait for that. Just in case you don't know. Baldurs gate is an old rpg game that uses the Dungeon and Dragon rules, so it's kinda old school. Trackmania is a fun unrealistic competitive racing game with gravity defying loop de loops and insane drifting. The game is all about getting the best time possible on a track. On multiplayer, the player with the best time wins, since it is purely skill based, there are no car collisions and everyone has virtually the same car, the only thing that may be different is what the other players cars look like since the game lets you make custom skins.

      I play warsung gulch

But my poor horde team sucks 90% of the time. And lots of guys are serious and anal so they abandon us half way through the game. But I'm stubborn and keep fighting to the last moment! For the horde!

      Dishonored.

I haven't been playing any video games at all in a really long time. This one just speaks to me in a way. And it's just pretty enjoyable gameplay-wise.

You can get baldurs gate and a bunch of other old school games from GOG.com. It's an awesome place. Project eternity looks awesome but it's going to be awhile before it comes out. In the mean time, I will be playing baldurs gate
