What was your first time like ( LD!)?

We all know nothing compares to the very first time you experience something amazing. I would LOVE to hear about some of your first times experience Lucidity. Now, I know most people awake prematurely the first time, and if that's the case, whats the feeling you had when you woke up. I bet it was exciting.

Well, the first time I tried using my living room chair as a teleportation device, failed and woke up. But the second time was my REAL first LD. I flew through the sky, spinning around, pointing at buildings to make them explode, and teleporting. I had forgotten my goals though, but I punched George Lopez in the face for no reason, so it was alright .

From my DJ. (Not on here. Elsewhere.)

Ok. I don't know if it was a False Awakening about my room or not, but I decided to take the chance to become lucid. So while I was drifting back to sleep, and another dream, I started to tell myself repeatedly, "Become lucid, become lucid...". I could feel myself rocking back and forth from on my bed from onto the floor. I opened my eyes, and realized that I was dreaming! Right then, it felt like I had "one foot in the waking world, and one in the dream." Everything looked so real and vivid.

Now it felt like my body had gone back to sleep, while "I" was lucid in the dream. I walked around some to notice all the details in and outside of my room. Everything was so clear and crisp. Just then, my parents called me downstairs. I figured, "Wait! This is my dream. I can't get in trouble as long as I know I'm dreaming. I don't have to go downstairs!" So instead I tried to see if I could fly. Since I'm a beginner, I couldn't, so then I tried summoning my favorite Pokemon, Dragonite. That didn't work either. But I didn't lose luicdity! Instead, I decided to see what it felt like when I wake up from standing in a dream. But then I stopped. I thought about Dr. LaBerge and his 1st LD while using the Tibetan Technique, and how he did something reckless. So I decided to go downstairs. It turned out to be Christmas in August!!! There were 2 Christmas trees, and alot of holly and tinsel. No presents, but I wasn't sad. Besides, if I had gotten sad, I would've probably lost lucidity. I went over and hugged my mom. Then we started singing Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up. The transition to consciousness left the song echoing through my mind.
I had it sometime in August of '06 (can't remember the exact date; it's written down somewhere).

Did I mention I LOL'ed at the title? XD

Mine wasn't something amazing. I had two, in the same afternoon nap, one I was talking with some famous people, and I was just like: "Oh, I think I'm dreaming", did a RC and it failed. Then another I was at a dark room, and just knew that I was dreaming, tried to make someone appear, I did and the scene changed, then I woke up.
My control, back then, was terrible. It's much better now, still improving.

my technical first LD was not as exciting as you'd think.

my very first one was simply a taste of what LDing really is. I looked at my hands, felt the 'click' of "woah, I'm dreaming' (it's truly an odd feeling, I love it) and then the dream exploded in a flash of white light. I woke up not even realizing at first. then I started to remember, and wasn't sure if I had imagined it. after a few more moments of trying to recall, I realized I had been conscious in my dream.

my first time experiencing a LD where I had stability and real control..it was amazing. I shot fireballs, I summoned a plate of nachoes, I saw an image of jesus playing guitar on the ceiling..as if it were a moving stain glass window and light was pouring out a reflection.

all in all, an excellent time.

My first one I woke up instantly when I saw my dog that has passed away. Then about 4-5 times after that I finally stayed lucid in a false awakening and saw amazing imagery out my window. Now im at 16 and in my last one I stayed in the dream without a false awakening and flew around and tried to shoot energy beams. It's amazing the progress you make.

Lol my first lucid was boring when I became lucid I though well this is what being lucid is like hmm... I just kind of walked around and talked to people.
"For a long time it gave me nightmares, having to witness an injustice like that. It was a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be, I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!'... How come they just couldn't give him some cereal?"

My first intentional lucid was an alarm-assisted WILD. I stayed still after the alarm went off and then realized I was in my bed but things were a little "off". I got up and walked around the room then floated up to the ceiling.

In my first long lucid I summoned a velociraptor, flew to the top of a huge tree, and ate ice cream.

In my first lucid, I was in a car when I said to myself "I want to get out of this dream." Thats when I realized that I was dreaming and I flew out of the car. I woke up shortly due to excitement. Still trying to have my 2nd lucid

I have nightmares. I always did. So I came into lucidity spontaneously a loooooong time ago, and usually used it to wake up.

And then I figured out that you could fight back against the monsters, and become the scariest thing in your dreams. Good times.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

My first induced LD is recorded here.

I've had several when I was younger, though. Dealing with nightmares and what have you. Sometimes I'd wake myself up, while other times I'd simply hide and wait it out. Of course, things that screw with my dreams these days tend to get what's coming to them, more often than not.

Much like with sex, in my first lucid I was overly excited, a bit uncontrolled and clumsy, but it left me with a very good feeling afterwards

It was a few years ago, I'd started reading about LDs a couple of days before. In the dream I just suddenly realised something was a bit off, and did the finger-through-palm RC. When my finger went through it felt so unreal and awesome that I almost lost my lucidity. Then I tried to fly, and managed to hover a meter or two over the ground. Can't remember anything after that, probably woke up early.

Mine was textbook: I jumped out a window and started flying. At the time, I was reading and following the advice in ETWOLD, and that's exactly what LaBerge described as a thing that a new, eager lucid dreamer would probably do in their first lucid dream experience.

      That's what she said

      ... sorry, I had to.

But really. My first time was crazy. I remember walking up to this skyscraper that was made up of these whirring lights and atoms, and I put my hand on it, which went through it, and my hand became atomized. It was beautiful. I was so excited that I woke myself up. Even though it lasted a very short time, my first lucid is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of my life.

Mine was a bit plot-stuck... I was having a nightmare and saw my father get shot by these CIA guys. I said to myself, "I don't want to dream this," realized I was dreaming and proceeded to rewind time My dad was alive, and got inside the house okay before the dream crumbled.

This is my first ever LD:

It starts with a FA, family tell me we got a travel to Spain, so I go with them, first time I travelled on plane, actually, first time I saw a cloud... and first time I saw the famous church on Spain (it was extremely accurate) and there was this high priest, I thought it would be boring as hell (the word hell is so ironic later) so I left before anything started, I got to stare at people passing then an earthquake started, it was really strong, and I got scared, and as so I wanted a soft spot to stay at, I got a place full of leafs, I was just staying in there, and then a sound of explosion made me take a look at the church, there were many people running away, so I had low visibility, when everyone stopped, I found that there were around 70 demons, 1 turning people on demons, so I was like "Oh no, my family!" and then I found him, one of the demons was talking to the one which was making the transformation, it was like this:

Metamorphic: Why I have to hear you? We should kill the humans.
Weakling: Because I'm the prince, plus, I will regain my powers later, right now I just have teleportation, but I will become 1000 times stronger than you.
Metamorphic: Ah well, just make sure you don't do anything stupid; you know I always follow pride.
Weakling: Well, whatever; just keep the job.

So I thought that fighting the weakling were a good idea, he were only able to teleport and he was pretty "silly-looking" then someone took me to the leaf places, I didn't do any sound since I thought it was a bad idea, and found it was my brother, I told him about my idea and he told me it was good and as so, I went with him to make sure the plan was finished, he took the attention of the demons first so I could get to the place were the weakling was (we discussed who should fight, we decided me since I was smaller and younger and mostly easier to beat) once I got there, I was going to get transformed, but I told the little demon that I wanted to fight him, then he told him to stop and laughed, took a sword and gave it to me, told me that we should fight, and if I win the other demon shall stop using his power and return everyone to normal, then leave, he was indeed a silly demon, I had the victory! We started to fight, I was doing a horrible job, not even one scratch on him, I was barely able to use the sword anyway... then while he was laughing he teleported, I noticed he was slow in the teleportation, so I thought it would take some time to re-appear, and since he was silly... I just put the sword on the back part, I was right, he was silly enough to re-appear back to kill me... but instead he got stabbed (at this point I notice I was dreaming) so I was like "yes, now time to finish him!" I took the sword out and he got a mortal wound, but it was starting to slowly regenerate, I tried using holy water, but it was healing faster now... so I just made a new wound until he died, once he was dead, the other guy did what he was supposed to, I was happy everything just ended and told my family to go back to were it was safe, even tough I knew it was a dream, I was scared and when I woke up, I was sweating and crying...

      Sadly it wasn't induced <.<

      Red face My First Time

My first time becomming lucid happened about two years or so ago. It started with a false awakening. I had been do affirmations and reality checks for a while, and was really excited about the whole thing. I awoke and it was really bright in my room and my eyes were closed and it felt like my face was halfway under the covers. I decided to do a RC to see if I was really awake since I was getting in the habit of doing one every time I awoke. I did the breathing test to discover I was in fact still asleep and the sensation I had was unlike anything I ever feel in real life.

It was like butterflies (like when you're around that really cute guy/gurl and they're talking to you and you're nervous. Haha.) Only instead of the butterflies being centered in my tummy they were in my entire body, like I was made of air or something. It was the strangest thing I had ever felt, and amazing. My lucidity only lasted for a few seconds, I couldn't even get out of the bed. Haha. But that was my first one.

My first experience with anything dealing with "sleep" was a few weeks before I learned about lucid dreaming. I awoke to full body vibrations (amazing, the most coolest thing I've ever experienced!!!) and to see this amazing most beautiful purple sliver blobs and swirls of color on my ceiling, with electricity shooting through it. Had I known anything about lucid dreaming I would have realized that I was seeing hynagogic (however you spell it) imagery and a transition into dreamland. It was the most amazing thing ever. Out of my WILD attempts and what not, I have never seen nor heard, nor felt anything like that. In fact, I never see anything, just black. Sooo, though that was long-winded that was my first. Haha.

In my first lucid dream I was in the bathroom and saw the grudge's head in the mirror but I wasn't scared and for some reason already knew that was fake. I went outside the house and went to other houses. I saw a creepy lady so I left and then I woke up. It was longer but I'm not gonna say every detail.

I've had a bunch of lucid dreams before I even knew what they were. However, my first purposefully induced one...

I forget. I probably have it written down somewhere. xD
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
