      Mirror looked normal?

In a dream, I noticed a mirror. When I looked in it, everything looked normal. Why is this? I thought that in dreams the mirrors looked messed up. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? I have only heard of mirrors looking weird in dreams, not normal.

If anyone wants to read the whole dream, it's right here in my DJ: President - Dream Journals - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource

      Thanks

Mirrors in dreams will not always be distorted. You can't always count on that being the case.

It's the same with hands. Sometimes they are distorted out of recognition, sometimes they look just like they should. I looked in the mirror once and all I had was very red eye whites.

Oh... Like I said above, I've only heard of mirrors distorting images and showing frightening things.

      Thanks

I will be sure not to look into a mirror when I dream next time, I kind of have a thing with mirrors anyways that I don't like. Don't want to see frightening things.

My reflection in a mirror has never been distorted or frightening, although sometimes my hair may have been longer or something minor like that.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah, that's what happened when I looked in it. I had longer hair.

It's possible that it didn't look right, and you were just too dumb to notice it. Dreaming brains are dumb, and miss obvious things. I've looked in a mirror once, and saw someone with a different hair colour, and was even the opposite sex. I studied the reflection for a while before I noticed anything wrong with it

I have never noticed anything wrong with mirrors myself... heck, they are so accurate I even test hairstyles within the dream to see what haircut I would like next.

Most of the time when I look in a mirror in a dream (and they show up a lot in my dreams) there is something strange or creepy about it. Sometimes, though, the reflection seems perfectly normal.
Anything can happen in dreams. Even normal stuff.

Ironically when I looked into a mirror/at my hands during past dreams I didn't see any difference.
At the fork in the road I turned left while everyone else turned right..

Your post reminded me of a creepy, non-lucid dream I had a few months back.

I had looked at myself in a mirror, but my head was backwards - it was as if my body was facing the mirror like normal, but my head was turned to face the other way. I was literally staring at the back of my head, not to mention I had a bob haircut! x3

      NO!! NOT THE HAIR!!!

Anyway i dont think that i have ever looked in a mirror before in my dreams. I think that I might do that in a lucid.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

I have looked in the mirror before in a lucid dream, it looked normal, nothing weird about it.

In my experience, the reflection is always distorted. Sometimes it appears not to be, until you take a closer look.
