So, guess what i just found out?

My girlfriend of almost 5 years revealed a secret to me today, and it was so monumental, it blew my mind with the force of a billion suns. i was talking to her about lucid dreams, and she didnt know what they were, so i explained, and she was said, "oh, i do that all the time."

apparently, she has like 5 re-occuring dreams, and never really strays from them, and every time she has one, she knows she is dreaming, because they have happened so often. she has lucids all the time. where as ive had like 5 in almost 6 years since joining these forums. i almost slit my goddamn wrists right there.

The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead.

That sucks! Sounds like she's a natural. I have a couple friends that have lucids naturally too, and i'm so jealous!

Funny how people are naturally lucid dreamers and yet don't know how epic that is. Of course reoccuring dreams may get boring after a while and if you get stab every night for a year or so without bleeding then of course that would become a giant dream sign. She said it herself that she only know she is dreaming because of the same dream. So she may not be a natural lucid dreamer, just a dreamer with a good dream sign.

You could help her out by getting rid of the reoccuring dreams if she want to get rid of them or just show her the forums so she can help others out.
Noticed things in my lucid dreams: Not scare of death (kinda forgotten Freddy special power of killing in dreams, opps?) Huge ego which cause me to summon monsters, most DC are useless and don't even speak.

I feel your pain. My girlfriend is the same way. She says she knows she's dreaming, but apparently she doesn't make much of an attempt to control and direct the dreams. I don't think she cares to try in the first place. But hey, I guess everyone's journey is different, right?

To be honest, I almost feel bad for these alleged "naturals" who don't take advantage of their luck. I've had to work my ass off for the lucid dreams I've acheived, but at least I can say That I've got some really amazing and memorable experiences out of it.

I know what you mean me and my brother used to talk about our dreams each morning, my
dreams were short and brief often lacking detail where his were vast adventures with every
event and conversation recalled in vivid detail.
One day I told him about Lucid dreaming which he had not heard of the next morning he said I tried
that lucid dreaming last night it was quite fun.

Feel your pain man. I grasp a lot of things easily, but LDing is definitely not one of them. It sucks.

My fiancee still has absolutely no interest in lucid dreaming. I've been trying to get her into it for 15 years with no luck.

My sister said the same thing when I talked to her about LDing. Personally, I do not believe the people who so nonchalantly claim to LD all the time. I don't think they fully understand what it means to have a lucid dream. I know people who have been LDing their whole lives and they still get excited about it. For someone to just not care, to me, means they don't really understand.

      That happened to me.

I actually just found this site today trying to figure out how to LD and realized I have done it all my life.
Once I get time I will type up some of my reoccurring dreams for you guys and hopefully start a journal to write down new ones I have.
I honestly always just thought that was how everyone dreamed.

I've naturally had excellent recall and I've always had vivid dreams all my life but I didn't even hear about lucid dreams until highschool. I didn't take it too seriously until last month, though. Since then, I've had 9 lucids, with only one so far this month. I've asked my husband if he wants to try lucid dreaming but he's too discouraged by his terrible recall. He's just happy when he gets the occasional vivid dream. I was actually a little surprised when he told me he doesn't remember most of his dreams.

maybe i could. she said her dreams are usually different versions of someone/some people chasing her, and that usually makes her realize she is dreaming. she told me one time when she realized she was dreaming, she just stopped running and thought it would be cool for a giant eagle to come and get her away from her pursuers, and one fucking came. not only does she have the most amazing, easily recognizable dream sign, but she can manipulate and control it pretty well too. and she doesn't like sleeping or dreaming.

My god, writing a journal turn me from a person who thought that he don't dream into one that get like 3-5 dreams per night.

Main reason why I came back, I need to regain my recall and the journal system here is great.

Every time I tell someone about lucid dreaming and they say they do it ALL THE TIME I either get angry or think they must not understand what I'm actually saying so I started making sure I got my point across properly and it turns out some of them think I meant that they realize they were dreaming while awake and don't confuse it with reality, which I don't understand why you would confuse it with reality except for right after waking up or if it was a really vivid dream. Or maybe they mean something else entirely, I'm not quite sure anymore and I'm not going to ask anyone else if they do it until I start doing it because it makes me angreh that so many people claim they can and do without interest.

"I'm a natural and I have been lucid dreaming all my life"

      HHHHHhhhhnnnnnGGGGGG

I hate it when people can say that. 80% of the people on here work their asses off and you have a few naturals who come on and go "Oh yeah, well for me it's easy".

Confound you all, you naturals, confound you.

Well I guess...I can't say much. Different minds work differently.
Anyway, only a minority are naturals so don't get bothered about it. Just do what to know to increase the frequency.
      Goals:
      1. Attacking my enemies instead of running away from them~ Ultimately taking control of my dream situation.
      2. Remember that I can always summon a shield around me to protect myself in dreams. No need to fear!

See it is basically the opposite for me. When ever I tell people about lucid dreaming they get really excited out of the possibilities and tell me they wish they could have lucid dreams. I try to help them, but it's like people in general don't have the drive to do something that seems so foreign. Because they have never experienced one they just don't understand the limitless possibilities.

I told two of my friends about it. I told them it's basically a dream where you become aware and can do anything. Literally anything. They seemed fairly interested when I spoke to them about it, but other than that, it's been completely forgotten, as far as I know.

It's like most people have a mental block like they were not supposed to be interested in this.

Surely if someone offered you a free world full of possibilities, that you could visit every night and still wake up fresh, and all it takes is a few months of even less of practice, wouldn't you listen?

I wonder why so many people don't...
