Yes, how is your dream recall ? Work on it as much as you can for a while, until you get regular lucids and then relax a bit the effort. This will allow your mind to know how dreams feel and then you just keep to a minimum of dream journalling practice so as to keep your familiarity and ability to recognize your dreams.

As to know what life feels like, do not assume you already know, try to be in touch with your senses and your own sense of control of your reality. Know that you are the co-creator of your reality and study how your thoughts and expectations influence how you perceive the world.
Try to clear brain fog with meditation and good healthy habits.

Practice reality checks, specially when you feel strange or curious experiences. Know that a truly random reality check (something that only happens if you cultivate the habit even when you are sure your awake) will bring lucidity 10% of times.

The first signs of success are increased vividness and better recall, so dont be discouraged

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
