Thank You, Dream Views, For Caring About Our Dreams...

      ...because no one else does.

How many times have you tried to tell someone about a dream you had...and about 10 seconds after you start talking you see their eyes glaze over and they are unmistakably only pretending to listen. Or they interrupt you to tell you about how they had a similar dream, but don't care to let you finish.

Let's be honest. Most people do not give two shits about their dreams, let alone yours. I think sometimes I take this place for granted...something which can be easy to do when it becomes like second nature. But I'm sure most of you feel the same. Where else can you ramble on and on about YOUR dreams, and actually find people to listen and care?

      Dream Views...you are awesome.

Perhaps I'm feeling sentimental and sappy tonight, but I'm happy to know all you crazy dreamers.

Yeah, I don't know anybody in my personal life besides my teacher who cares about dreams. And compared to my teacher, my dreams are just sooo mundane, he thinks I am just a beginner. He has a second home on a planet that orbits Sirius and he is waiting for me to be worthy enough to go with him there. He brings back friends from there... But he just smiles when I tell him about my dreams and says "keep practicing". So I don't get no satisfaction.

I could not agree more. I know the feeling, when I tell people about my dreams they seem to feign interest and say "That's nice," or "That's cool." Ever try to have an in-depth discussion with some of your friends about dreams? The subject gets changed pretty quickly.

Here, I can go on and on and no one looks at me like I'm speaking Latin.

Thanks, DV! You're pretty freakin awesome. I'm glad to know all of you.

My brother thinks lucid dreams are a hoax. -_-

And no one else cares about my dreams either. Also, there's no one I CAN tell my dreams to without them feeling I'm insane. But here, I can easily go "I enlarged my boobies in a lucid dream" and instead of going WTF, people would go "Been there done that". Haha. I just love DV.

I've told my parents or GF about interesting dreams and they seem interested. I usually give a condensed version though

My buddy and I spent 2 hrs talking about our dreams one night at StarBucks, lol

Maybe y'all need new friends and parents, lol, jkjk

What's cool though is other sites will flame someone about dreams and how they're stupid, but here you're accepted and others are interested

<3 I know what you mean. Most of my dreams are nice, long, intricate ones and everyone I try to tell just shrugs it off. Some people just don't understand the beauty that is a dream.

      edit: 500th post.

Exactly. Your going on these epic journeys and its rather sad when no one finds it the least bit interesting.

I love you guys sooo much!!

I feel the same way alot. Although I do have few friends that are willing to talk to me about it and be interested. I have actually shared dreams with most those people actually.

Haha, I love the love. And slumberless, exactly! I go on adventures in my dreams that make the lord of the rings look like a child's show, and no one cares
Imagination these days, right down the drain I suppose.

I agree. This place is a quite the sanctuary. There's a nice homely feel to it, being among my brethren. That being said, it's a bummer that I have so few people IRL to connect with about dreams.

I think you're lucky though. Well, perhaps if your teacher was giving you tips or anything. Having someone else that's better than you gives you the desire to become better, right? That's the only thing I've really discovered in my dreaming friend.

I've had people straight up tell me that I'm lying when I've said I'd lucid dreamt.

Most of my real life friends also care very much about their dreams and love to hear mine as well as I love hearing theirs. I only have a couple of real life friends though and we seem to have many common interests that can be hard to find in people. Dreaming isn't an easy thing to get into, at least for me anyways. I have to dedicate a lot to dreaming. I can't really smoke weed if I want to be dreaming regularly, because this will make me dream much less. That used to also be a big part of me, so for about five months my dreams were much less frequent. Other things in other peoples lives may constrict their dreaming also. People who don't dream aren't going to really want to hear about others, unless it's an extra interesting dream or something. I usually don't share my dreams were people other than my friends and this site because I know that my friends and this site are interested.
