Haha, hm, didn't really think of that. You have a good point.
And yeah I'm 22, I feel too old for hard partying though.... maybe I'll just tell everyone I'm 18 and then convince myself I am. I look 16 according to most people so it should work

Your post made me feel a bit better about my whole situation though. 22 isn't old.

Exactly, 22 is young.... besides, males tend to be older than females in most types of relationships. So you and 18yr olds is all good -- a bit of maturity is a positive thing.

I'm thinking now I'm going to study *something* with computers (talk about changing my mind.... I've gone through like 50 different things I've said I'm going to do just this year lol), because I've been told a couple of times programming and networking etc. Basically anything computers will allow me to fairly easily get citizenship in Sweden or Iceland. And I really want to move there some day. Probably Iceland.
Thing is.... I also want to start actually living. I've spent most of my life on the computer, which is ok, but I also want to do other things.... go out, party, get laid, travel, get laid by foreigners etc.
I suppose I can still do that while going to university.... but probably rarely, or only at the end of the year.
I think I will still do that.... but.... man I should've used all my partying and promiscuity up during my youth, I didn't do enough of that.
Um, I think you just described the stereotypical college experience. If you want to "party," I think college is your best option! At least, that's what the media and friends tell me--I just go part time.

As for me... two of the outlets in my apartment aren't working? Only seems to be those two, everything else works fine. They the outlets I use for the TV, PS3, and PS2. No juice coming out, none. They worked perfectly fine last night, and I shut everything down properly before going to bed. I didn't use them all morning, just went to start up netflix now and realized none of the electronics have power. It's too late to call the landlord now and she's off till Monday, so unless it magically starts working again I'm out of virtual entertainment for the weekend. So, it better not rain tomorrow...

Edit: nvm, just checked and for some reason that breaker flipped off? meh, everything works fine now.

I've already mentioned this, but I'm really starting to wonder how I'm going to handle a newborn and a two year old on my own. I know he will help out, but I doubt he's going to work any less. I mean, we can't really afford for him to anyway. I'm not so much worried about the newborn as I am my son.

I keep reading on these mothering forums about tips and how to get him accustomed to a new baby brother or sister, but it feels almost hopeless. Part of me feels guilty that he won't be the center of mommy's attention anymore and I'm already somewhat feeling like I'm going to be more favorable to him than the baby. I know that sounds bad, but right now he's all I know and another baby in the picture makes me want to baby him more.

I wish my mother still lived closeby to help out, but she moved away and is out on the road a lot. She says she will be around, but I don't think she will be as much as she claims.

I know I'll be fine, but I've also got to think about school. The baby will be here in time for the second semester and I hope that I can get through it and maintain my GPA.

There is no use in regretting having a baby in the first place, so I don't bother anymore, but damn it. What the hell was I thinking? Why was I so freaking irresponsible?

Life goes on. I think ahead to five and six years from now and think it will be easier once the kids are older, but who knows.

It probably doesn't get any easier. I try to maintain the positive, that this will make me stronger and more responsible (hopefully) but it's hard when I still feel like a kid.

I also worry about my body. I don't want to be overweight and unhealthy, trailer trash with two children type cliche of a mother. I see a lot of them around, they just let themselves go. I can see how easy it is to do that, but I refuse.

Guess I'll be trying to get my hands on a double seated stroller soon.

Gavin, could you clarify something for me? You refer to "Brown" parents and neighbors. That bothered me because I felt it to be racist. But, is it a cast reference and not a skin color one?

I went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant with my hubby and step-daughter earlier. My hubby is very ?? outspoken and can be rude. He started commenting on "Wetbacks" and I gave him a dirty look. He asked "What? I'm just a simple hillbilly." I told him "No, you're a racist redneck". I didn't mean for it to sound harsh but his daughter nearly spit out her food and quickly covered her huge smile. Poor hubby looked confused and offended. But a Mexican employee was standing right behind us cleaning. Said employee doesn't know my hubby or the fact that he really doesn't mean any harm by what he says.

That conversation that ensued got me thinking about Gavin and his comment. My step-daughter brought up the caste system which made me think I might have taken Gavins comment the wrong way

In any event, it doesn't mean anything to me in the long run. I know people express themselves in different ways.

My only (half-hearted) rant is my adrenaline surges. They're almost constant now, but they're still mild enough to be entertaining and amusing.

      **EDIT**
Suena, how old is your son again? I had 4 kids in 1992, 94, 95, 96. When they're young like that- in my experience, the kids adapt very well to the new member.

I was never really a motherly kind of mother. I didn't give lots of hugs or kisses or sit with them on my lap. They'd sit beside me or lean against me. I showed affection and stuff, but in hind-sight I've always been kind of distant.

If you're the sort who showers affection, there might be some jealousy if your son is older than 3. Look out for bottle stealing if he's still young. That's the biggest problem I had with my sons.

      Suena,
I'd say to let them play and communicate as much as possible, make them share things from a young age and involve them both. It probably sounds stupid coming from me but my aunty had a 3yr old and a newborn and they get along perfectly, she lets the 3yr old teach the baby words and colours. And I think two children is a godd number anyways, as long as you don't team up both of them can't either because they have no one to turn to.

A friend of mine told me recently that he has a friend who came up with a simple yet brilliant plan to get high all day every day and still avoid the munchies so it's much easier to lose weight, and apparently he's really skinny. The plan? Every time you feel hungry from being high, smoke more until you forget that you're hungry for a while again. I honestly never would've thought of it. X) I'm thinking about giving it a shot just because I do eat way too many munchies, but... I don't really smoke that much anymore. This might get a little rough at first. >w<

Eat a few fibre rich crackers an hour before hand, they will expand in your stomach and it will remove the want to overeat. Works in a real diet, why not try it when you're high

I never got the munchies. Often, smoking would replace eating as an activity, so I lost weight (more accurately, I kept off weight I had already lost from exercise).

And now, well, fuck. I need no drugs or sweets or deep fried coatings. I take pride in my ability to cook and savor the health, the culture, and story surrounding the food.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot. I'll have to wait until tomorrow at this point, I'm already pretty high.

I'm the exact opposite, I usually go hang out with friends and we smoke and then go to a restaurant and order a bunch of food. It used to not matter so much because I was more active, but now I don't get out of the house as much as I used to.

I'd love to get to that point, but I'm not really that good at cooking yet. If I knew a bunch of recipes I think I could eat healthier a lot, I just don't know what all tastes good that I can easily make.

I'd start with Mexican and Italian.

Make some brown rice, toss in drained tomatoes, corn, tomato sauce, and black beans. Add some spices. Spanish rice, voila! Add it to burritos, as a side for bean-cheese-spinach quesadillas, or add more stuff to it and eat it on its own.

Pizza is surprisingly easy to make 'from scratch.' I use two cheap boxes of jiffy crust mix per pizza--it takes about 8 minutes to make the dough (and five of those minutes are letting it rise). From there, you can put on whatever toppings you like on. Spaghetti's good for beginners, too (try adding fried butternut squash, or frying halved grape tomatoes with Italian parsely!).

Then there's the glory of bean-and-oat burgers. I posted a recipe on here somewhere, I know it... It's basically 2 cans of black beans, 2 cups of oats, some cilantro, and whatever spices (cumin, cayenne, chili powder) or wet agents (an egg, or some mayo, or some unsweetened yogurt, or chipotle sauce) you like.

Lazagne, pasta, rice, eggs, burgers, noodles, pizza, wraps, salads, chips, beef etc etc. Its so easy to make any of these foods, and its really rewarding. Way better than fastfood. The best food in my opinion are italian, greek and turkish. Basically flavour that nearly everone likes.

Turkish? Greek? Aside from greek pitas, I am largely unfamiliar with these cuisines. Examples, plox?

Well the turkish and greeks have great ways of preparing lamb and chicken and vegtables. Its called gyros and it is one of my favourite ways of preparing foods. For me it is essentially what defines turkish and greek fastfood. Infact a pita is actually refered to as a gyro. Its the mix of meat and spices which make it delicious. Off course there is way more but this is my favourite example becuase it can be appliedin thousands of ways.
And then you also have sicilian arancini, a ball of rise filled with meat, peas, tomatoes and mozarella with oregano, basil and garlic deepfried with a crust of bread.

Even looking at this food makes my mouth water

Thanks for the advice, you two! I'm going to have to look into this a bit more. I'm sure my mom wouldn't mind having to cook dinner less.

^^ That food looks so good. I'm already so high too, I keep walking out into the kitchen and then I have to smoke more. >w<

Ugh... I am EXCEPTIONALLY ill. Nuvigil wasn't quite cutting it, so I took a caffeine pill about an hour ago (I took Nuvigil at around 9AM)
I've been writing down mastery information for my trees on Farmville for about 30 minutes. That means I look at my comp screen, then my notecard, back and forth repeatedly. I feel car sick. I'm having hot flashes. I took my blood pressure. It's 115/88 and my resting pulse is 88 (all normal for me). I also feel dehydrated and my eyes are very dry.
I'm also an emotional wreck right now. WTF. Actually, I KNOW WTF. I've not taken my Celexa all week nor my Wellbutrin for the last 3 days. I called hubby and apologized if I offended him at lunch. He didn't know what I was talking about lol but I was on the verge of tears

It's not my nature to be emotional- meds or no meds. I'm just coming off of them and it's affecting me. Maybe that's also contributing to my (now) constant Adrenaline Surges. The emotions will subside in a couple of days. So do I buy my meds now or wait until after my Vision Quest (Monday-Wednesday). I won't be taking the meds while I'm in the woods. It takes me about 3 days to feel the effect of not being on them... normally. But if I take them for just 3 days out of the week will there be enough build up to go without so soon or will I just be coming off of them again while away? Blah. I think I'll not risk it and just stay off until my return.

      I need a nap...

Oh god the arancini sounds so good.

Staying on topic, that's actually a complaint. I, er, can't think of a way to fry them (without a deep-fryer).

Your post made me feel a bit better about my whole situation though. 22 isn't old.
      Thanks!

haha, yeah.... I dunno. I was too socially inept to go and do that sort of thing. Even if I lived during woodstock I probably wouldn't have gone.
You're really only 22, man? Wow, I'm 22 too. You just... I dunno, in a way you seemed much older from your posts. Especially in this thread... you seemed kinda world-weary, like you've been through, and seen a lot.

You've still got time for basically, well, everything you listed there. None of it really appeals to me, to be honest. I got this far with my obsession on computers and I'm not gonna stop now.

I thought you needed to gain weight. Though maybe that's my imagination. o.o

My rant: I spread my interest everywhere instead of focusing on one thing at a time.... hence I get nothing done. Is it all that bad? Naa, probably not, but it's all I've got.

I'm with dutch raptor on the munchies. Eat a good healthy meal before you smoke.
I never used to get it, but then eventually, I think after I started eating chips when I smoked with friends, I started getting the munchies.
So maybe it's just different for me, but a good healthy meal stops any thought of food.

      hehe, well uh, thanks man
I don't know, I guess I've been through quite a bit, but recently I was thinking about why I can relate to so many things people here talk about, and I figured out that I really mostly just think a lot about a lot of things and the things that people talk about here(I mean the whole forum, not this thread specifically) are things in their head. Make sense?
People's experiences don't differ that widely. The circumstances can, but the thought processes etc. are mostly very similar.

      Anyway, you made me laugh
Young in body, old in head. Awesome

Actually, didn't you just say you were going to go to uni too? Or was that someone else....

      That feel.... that feel....
Worst advice I probably got was to not put all your eggs in one basket.
Or maybe that was ok advice.... but bad because no one ever said not to put your eggs in to every basket possible.
