Semi... rant?
The highs and lows of wasted time and energy I guess. Wasted half an hour to find out that where I went will be unexpectedly closed after a certain time in the afternoon, didn't seem to say for how long. At least the walk was nice at first, one of those little encounters you get with people; a young man with his equally young and curious/playful dog, the guy was nice enough that he didn't mind me approaching the dog, though it did scratch me a little by accident but no harm done anyway.
Then remembering why I actually don't like walking around where I live these days; lots of traffic in certain parts, poor road layouts making it even worse for both the drivers and for pedestrians to cross roads, just giving it an unnecessary sense of "busy" I don't really enjoy. And around where I was trying to get to, I get surprised with a bit of delayed reaction by a cyclist coming out of a blind corner, who stops (pretty well actually) suddenly and then when he realises I'm not crossing in front of him, tuts loudly with an annoyed face, as if I could really have helped it and even though I had apologised. He literally had a face of disdain as if I was the scum of the Earth, not worth looking at.
I guess I still don't understand why the world is full of annoyed people. Maybe that guy needed to go rant on a thread like this too. It's just weird how I can encounter a person that seems so happy and then someone who seems so miserable within thirty minutes, while on an ultimately pointless walk.
