Rant: I was dreaming that everyone on DreamViews had access to a dream recorder and could post actual videos of their dreams in the DJ section. I was happily scanning through these and playing the ones that sounded fun, growing more suspicious by the second that this was a little strange. I'm close to becoming lucid when one of my two crazy dogs starting barking his head off, waking me up and screwing me out of the dream. I get up to see what's going on and crazy dog #2 has gotten freaked out by the rain and crapped all over the baby's room.

In seconds, I go from almost having a lucid dream to figuring out how I'm going to clean up this horrific trail of dog shit. Why do you hate me?

Anti-Rant: My 3-year-old son "E" has been telling me lately when he remembers his dreams, but yesterday's was completely amazing.

      E: "I dreamed I saw a fan."
Me: "Oh yeah? What did the fan do?"
E: "It was turning because I plugged in a timer! The timer said 8 minutes! 8 minutes!! I set the timer for 8 minutes!"
Me: "Did you know that you were having a dream?"
      E: "I did. <pause> That means that's a lucid dream!"

Ah, my strategy there is just to tear them off by folding them back repeatedly along the seam (the motion is kind of like turning a doorknob). A box cutter would be faster if you had several boxes to do and the cutter was handy, but I'm not so sure about a pocket knife. Paper and cardboard will dull a knife fast, too--that's one reason utility knives have disposable blades.

      Canis, OP.

Canis, is the crazy dog old or a puppy? Seems like they're always giving you trouble!
My dog is old but she's still getting on my last nerve. Now that the weather is nicer, the front door is left open. She still pees in the house more often than not and she's crapping on the porch. Really, dog, you can't walk 10 extra steps into the grass?
That's so sweet about your little one
My kids and I always talked about our dreams, but sometimes I'd swear they'd make up stuff just to out-do each other lol But it still got them interested and we still regularly talk about our dreams

My rant is that my stomach is rebelling today. Great. I've not even eaten anything of substance (some pudding and plain chips). I can't wait to see how I react to real food. I don't eat for 4 more hours or so, so I should be mostly good til the
I'm also sleepy. And I shouldn't be. I'm still having more than the usual amount of nightmares. And they're the same themed death ones as usual: I forget to feed a bunch of babies or animals and they die and/or my plant dies. Funny that I'm dreaming about that stupid plant lol. I really like it though and it's the first time I've not killed a plant within the first couple of weeks
I am also in a very foul mood today. Again, for no reason. Mr. Monthly is currently calling, but I don't really get PMS-y.
Everything is getting on my nerves- the bird chirping, the dog barking outside, the dog rubbing her back up and down furniture to scratch it, my son coming back here every 30 minutes or so (usually to beg for a cigarette or whine about wanting food). He's 20 years old. Suck it up. I don't go to the store until hubby gives me the rest of my advance. IF he gives me the rest of the advance. I'm not supposed to get any money until tomorrow night.

He KNOWS that. But he still comes back here to whine and pester me and ask me to ask hubby early. No. He should have made his food stretch longer. Hobo.
But he calls me the hobo, saying I'm starving him. Oh please. Stop being so impatient. (He had ramen this morning.)
I guess, after all of this rambling, my son is putting me the most in this bad mood
Oh well. I'll block my door and crawl into bed for a few more hours

That's awesome Canis, your son just discovered a whole new world
Hugs for everyone because I'm in a comparatively good mood

Well, happy and sad times for me this week, but mostly keeping a positive outlook. I got to see my dad and our family is getting back together after the huge mess with losing the house. Unfortunately I'll likely be moving to Antelope Valley since we can't afford a place in San Diego county that also accepts pets, and I don't know the next time I'll see my friends. But, I have multiple ways to keep in touch with the people that actually matter though, and online school is a blast because I get to be somewhat more laid back with my schedule - with proper transportation I get to scoot around LA, just like when I was a kid.

My dream recall was actually terrible last week. I only recalled 4 dreams in 7 days. And I've slept for about 10-13 hours each night. So last night, I tried a mantra. And it worked. I woke up 7 times throughout the night and morning. And I've recalled 7 long and vivid dreams! I should have tried WILD because everytime when I woke up I was very sleep. Which makes it easy to WILD. But I wasn't really in a good mood, so I decided not to. But I've got a week holiday. So from now on, I'm gonna WILD every morning hoping for a great lucid dream.

Woke up today to find a note from my husband that pretty much stabbed me in the heart. Nothing serious, he just doesn't like waking up alone. But I feel horrible It's not like I do it to hurt him, and he knows that, it's just that sleeping with him is so difficult and more often than not I want to strangle him because I cant sleep. I want to sleep with him. He wants to sleep with me. He's just so damn noisy and has fifty million alarms, and I'm unreasonably sensitive to light and sound. I guess the white noise maker is going to get some more experimentation...

Also since I took a nap yesterday, even though it was late afternoon, I wasn't able to sleep at all last night and I have a test and a long class today. I still think the nap was totally worth it for the dream I had.

And I want to post in the "Post pictures of your everyday life" thread, but my apartment sucks so I'm embarrassed. Maybe something else. I'll keep and eye open. Remove your EXIF data before posting pictures online, kids!

On the upside, today I want to make a commitment to exercise at least 3 times a week, preferably more, like maybe a little each day. I will do this. Rah rah!

And I want to work on my drawing skills some more, particularly on my tablet. Still getting used to that thing. And I want to make a holster for my Pepper Blaster, so my leatherworking skills are going to get a boost (assuming I can do it at all, I've only done a few things with leather). I just need an easier way to carry it. "Excuse me, Mr. Bad Guy, could you hold on a sec while I open up my backpack, then my purse, pull out my pepper spray, and try to shoot you with it before you get too close? Thanks." That's not gonna fly. On-person is the way to go. I'm a little concerned people will think it's a gun, but then that's why it's concealed carry. I normally wear a jacket anyways, and even if a person is printing a little most people don't notice, even if they know what to look for. I've only seen maybe 2 guys printing in my life. So all this probably won't be an issue.

Sorry if it's obvious and I'm an idiot, but what's "printing"?
      Also for your sadness.
My hubby get's depressed a lot because I don't live with him and he has to sleep alone. It's mostly his fault though, so I don't let it eat at me too often.

I hibernated for 2 days. I ran out of food, smokes, soda AND bottled water. So I'd wake up, stay awake for an hour or so, take a swig of allergy meds eat a tictac then go back to sleep for 9+ hours and repeat.
I am SO over sleeping for a while lol.

I have to leave for my youngest's MDT in 30 minutes. My sister is going to be there so I really hope she doesn't start any crap. I'm not in the mood for snide comments.

Oh yeah, I'm not exactly sure where I picked this up. Maybe from Link or someone, but I've been counting my pulse as I try to sleep. My resting pulse runs at about 85 beats per minute and I usually fall asleep right before I reach 500. The interesting thing, though, is that by around 300 my mind starts flashing random visuals: animals; cartoonish/clay like figures getting smushed by a giant foot or sliced in half with a giant sword; a lady suffocating behind plastic; scenery; space etc etc... they're all very strange and just random.
And I'm still having bad dreams too. What the heck?
      Gah.

I guess I better run. I want to grab some breakfast and get there early.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Tiny little problem of the day,

I lost my favourite ring somewhere between sat on the bus and walking into my form at school, this is the second 'favourite ring' I've owned because I lost the first one too. Not sure I should get another one or if I can afford it. So temporarily sad whilst I wait to do my Spanish assessment that I've had no time to prep for. Time to finally test my language skills!

@Zhaylin - Nah, I didn't know what it was either until I became a lot more familiar with guns. Printing is when you can see the outline of the gun under an article of clothing, like when a shirt is tight and kind of pulls around the gun.

@Wishfulthinker - I hope you find it, and good luck on your test!

Slept with my husband last night. It was really great having the closeness of someone else, being able to snuggle and such. But I was woken up at 5:30 and my recall is crap. Thankfully I got back to sleep at 7:00, so I'm not totally dead. I guess I need to train my body to ignore his noise, maybe I should keep the white noise maker going all night.

It's a little late for a WBTB and it'll be really hard to keep my mind from becoming so active, but if I'm going to be waking up at that time almost every day might as well give it a shot!

Mwahaha, Link is lurking. (closest I could find to *waves hello*)

Sorry about your ring WishfulThinker. I sympathize. My folks bought me a diamond ring for Christmas one year. I was only 13 years old or so and climbed my Aunts fence to get somewhere faster and it fell off. We never did find it.
I always thought it was some sort of karma for the one I found when I was 7. I was digging in a playground at school, along the outskirts, and found a gold ring. We turned it into the school but no one claimed it.
The ring was lost at some point though.

My rant is that my "ulcer" is absolutely killing me. It's been bothering me for at least 3 days now. I've taken no caffeine or herbs and finally did just break down and take Tylenol (after researching to make sure it wouldn't make things worse). What the heck. My ulcer rarely ever bothers me. And when it has in the past, a couple Ranitidine and a caffeine vacation clears it up fast. This has been constant pain for at least 3 days. And the pain is anywhere from 4-8.
It's very strange. I took gas-x because I think that's making it worse (I can feel rumblings in my stomach and I have gas related chest pain lol), and it hurts when I belch.
And without caffeine, I've been sleeping way too friggin much. I just woke up from an 11 hour "nap".

Unfortunately, my body doesn't know what the heck is going on. I had my daughters MDT yesterday (which went very well), but I took an Anti-diarhea med before going to that because I didn't want my stomach to interfere. Then I took gas-x. Isn't that a contridiction lol. As soon as the anti-d med wears off, I'll see how much of my pain is actually ulcer and how much is gas. I hope it wears off soon!!!!
If my ulcer is still bothering me after that, I'm going to have to break down and see a Dr. This is new and persistent pain, which is uncool.

My blood pressure and pulse have been outstanding. Whenever I'm in pain, I tend to hold my breath and control my breathing, which I'm fairly certain lowers my BP.

As an interesting and strange aside, I was researching if it safe to combine Ranitidine and Anti-d meds and I stumbled on some forum where a user gets high off of anti-d meds But he has to take about 500mg or so I think he said. To compare, my med is 2mg

Oh yes, and thanks for the explanation, NewArtemis Glad your night with your hubby went fairly well.
It annoys me though when significant others expect their partner to be the one to get use to everything

My overall rant is that I'm at school. I'm in an hour where I am a "teachers aid" which means my teacher likes me and gives me an a for me literally doing no work. It's nice to basically have an hour break. But the other students don't like that I don't wrote or give speeches. Also I am the only one that is allowed to have my phone out.

I just want to go home, and light the hookah.

@zhaylin I'm sorry that things are still gross and painful or you. Tell your husband to switch places. I'm sure he won't mind

@Zhaylin - Yikes! I hope you feel better, that sounds miserable. In my husband's defense, he is doing a lot of stuff to make it work. Neti pot and shower before bed, nasal strips, staying up to let me fall asleep, moving his stuff so he won't make noise... he's doing fair bit He's also been asking me several times a day how I slept and what could be made better.

@Dakota - I had to do that too, except I worked in the library and we didn't get graded. Stupid limit on off periods for free student labor

The other students can just suck it because you're not part of that class. If you're taking it for the same reason I am, far enough ahead that you should get an off period but aren't, then why should they complain? They just need to work more. Make the most of your time and it'll be over before you know it. I read a ton of good books and had awesome conversations with the librarians and other teachers that came in. It was actually a pretty cool thing once I got over that I had to work a bit

My complain: I'm about to fail a biology test. Maybe I should have studied more.

I want to be done with college. I want a house, and a dog, with space. I don't want to have to drive up every time there's an event (and with such a huge family, there is always something going on.)

And the guest room is driving me insane. I think I'm going to clean some more when I get home.

That's good for you. Think of it like that. Sleeping on a schedule is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
I wish I had more discipline when growing up.

Food is also another fundamental aspect of being healthy. When I got really depressed/anxious for a couple of years, I barely ate anything.
I'd probably still be fucked up now if my Grandma and one of my friends didn't take it seriously enough and try to help me.

My Grandma gave me multivitamins (coz I was probably extremely low on all nutrients at that point) and told me to eat 3 meals a day and rang me every week to ask me my weight (had to get to 60).

This is one of the best things that's happened to me.
But my parents were basically incapable to discipline, and that's the thing that fucked me up.

So try and see it as a good thing.

The lowest came when I was rejected from a well paying janitorial position.

The changing factor for me was applying for a job I knew was below me as it was a manual labor job for the government, which mean a lot of work for low pay. I got the interview which was further than most people even gave me, and while I was interviewing for a very low position with the place, they brought in all the managers because I was the first person with a degree. We talked for about an hour and half, and they were REALLY high on me already. I got the job, and like I said, the offer was really low. I took it, and at three months, for the first time in their existence, they gave me a HUGE raise. That opened up a lot of doors to me after.

My advice is to look at jobs that you may be a bit overqualified for, then apply for those. I don't know how old you are or your background, but once you can get experience, it is MUCH easier to get jobs after that.
That's funny, government jobs here are easy as hell and overpaid.
Believe me, I'm applying to jobs that I'm overqualified for. I mean I don't have any degrees besides art, but I've got more than enough knowledge of many different things, problem is I can't show anyone knowledge.
That is good advice though, I'm just already taking it lol
I also had a really crappy job, to try and get experience/references etc. but now I still can't find anything else.
I guess I should try to do some volunteer stuff too, when I can find an actual job.

Today I decided to remove the hard drive in my old laptop so I can copy all of the pictures off of the family computer's hard drive (they forgot the password...). I unscrewed all of the screws, but one was just a little bit stripped. I wasn't able to remove it. For some reason I got a slightly larger screw and pushed harder which only made it worse. Now, I don't know if I'll be able to ever get the screw out. I found something online that may work, but I haven't tried it yet. Fingers crossed D:

      I just feel a bit weird. I don't know. :-\

I have to clean my room tomorrow because we are getting direct TV Saturday. My room is probably the most cluttered place ever. I get Friday and Monday off of school so that will be .

I am praying that my mom gets her taxes back this weekend so we can go car shopping. But that more than likely will not happen. Ugh I just need a car, everything will get better after that.

Also I didn't get a cigarette today. So I'm not in the best mood.

If it weren't a hard drive I'd say take a drill bit and grind the bastard out, usually works well with woodwork in my experience

So I'm back in San Diego, said hey hey to all my friends, and turns out I'll probably be moving to LA... again.... until I graduate.....

      FUHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

The thing about this is the whole un-sure-ness (dunno if that's a word) of this situation
I could be staying in San Diego (I'm fucked because then I have to catch up on three weeks of work)
Or I could be moving away (Not as fucked but guhbye SD)

I don't know what I want and I don't know what difference either makes

Then he's definitely a keeper, NewArtemis
Sorry to hear of your school related stresses though

      DragonMaster, Dakotah
I don't know if it would work on a computer, but my hubby buys some sort of thing that allows him to remove stripped screws more easily. I have no idea what it is lol, but if you go to a Home and Yard type store in your area and ask, I'm sure they'd know what it is.

Mike. Uncertainty is the worst. I hope you find out what's going to happen soon.

My rant is that my ulcer is still bothering me. Seriously? What the heck?! It's NEVER bothered me like this before. It's friggin ridiculous and annoying as hell. I stand and walk hunched over as if I'm 90 years old.
It is much better today than yesterday though. So I am thankful for that. I've been drinking lots of Strawberry flavored milk (I cannot tolerate the plain stuff lol) and I'm still avoiding caffeine for the most part. I did take one yesterday because I had just slept 12 hours and wasn't about to go right back to sleep.
My temp is fine, my BP is fine. I would imagine, if anything was seriously wrong, one or the other would reflect that.
My pdoc always tells me I'm wrong about that though lol

I also had a really bad dream right before I woke up. Trees were cut down and dozens of corpses, mostly naked, mostly female, were discovered. Then I saw what one of the women saw right before she died: flashes of her daughter- maybe 7 years old- being fed to a dog. I didn't see the actual mauling, thankfully, but afterward I saw her obviously broken and bloodied wrist.
      What the heck?!
Before that, though, I had great dreams. I only remember fragments though. One was of space and planets. In another dream I was flying. And in yet another dream, I was at a grocery store telling some woman how to make black beans, rice and keilbasa (sp) lol (I ate that soon before bed It's one of my favorite meals and I don't eat it nearly often enough).

One thing that gets on hubby's nerves when we used to share a bed, is that I tend to kick my feet before I sleep. I'll lay on my stomach and just kick my feet back to my butt lol. Another thing I do is push myself using either a wall or just my toes so that I sort of glide back and forth on my stomach before falling asleep. I think it's to get rid of excess energy or something
I don't do it very often anymore. With severe reflux, I've been sleeping elevated and on my back. But with my ulcer acting up, it's actually very soothing.
But I am very curious about 1 thing. Since my ulcer has been killing me, I've not had reflux a single time. Does the reflux actually somehow help the ulcer?

My stomach is still bothering me. But not nearly as much as even yesterday. It's currently about a 2-3 on the pain scale.
There has to be something else going on. Does an ulcer CONSTANTLY hurt? It feels as if I was punched in the gut. I'm not short of breath or anything. But it hurts to inhale deeply (yawn) or exhale greatly (forced belch).
I might be blocked. I took two laxatives but only went to the restroom once. Who knows. But I am exceptionally curious as to why I have NO reflux lol I ALWAYS have reflux. I wake up with it and go to sleep with it and have just about every day for over a year. It's actually more "concerning" than the ulcer pain (or whatever it is) lol
Otherwise, I'm fine. My allergies haven't even been acting up. Maybe my body just shut down the rest of my pain/annoyance receptors

I'm living on Strawberry flavored milk. Milk usually doesn't agree with me AT ALL. But I'm having no problem with it and I'm enjoying the treat
I had more nightmares which amuses me.
In one, I saw a fish and rabbit being broiled to cook. They both looked like pale, frozen fish. It's from the shapes that I knew what each was supposed to be. But then the rabbit lifted it's head, opened it's "eyes" and screamed. I woke up. It disturbed me a great deal, but looking back, it was actually really silly.

In the other one, I had introduced 3 gray kittens to the home but I couldn't find one. I searched a crumpled shirt for one of them and it felt as if I had grabbed ahold of a round briar (in Florida, we called them "Stickers". They were round thorny things that hurt like heck when you stepped on them). I yanked my hand out and it had blood on it. It was then that I knew (but didn't see) that the pain came from one of the kittens jaws. The dog had eaten most of the cat.

The amusing part is that I also had a zombie dream and at one point, our structure had caught on fire and the zombies were going to break in. THAT was NOT a nightmare I enjoy my zombie dreams
I also had a "God-mode" dream where "I" was building a town in some frozen waste land. God-mode dreams are a lot like playing a city-builder computer game. "I'm" not in the game, but I still chose where to build things and what to build. Then the city springs to life and I get to watch and direct the people/activities

Hope everyone is well this morning.

Been having weird chest pains and headaches. Not sure if these are diet related, tooth related, or breastfeeding related, but they are driving nuts... the problem for me is that the pains move around from one side of my chest to the other, from one side of my head to the other. The sensations change too. They're mostly just uncomfortable, not really painful, but annoying. I don't know. Sometimes they're sharp and scare me, or sometimes they're a dull ache that last for several minutes. I've talked to my fiancee about it, and my sister, but they said it sounds like nothing. Scared to talk to a doctor... I have extreme tendencies towards paranoia though... so... I'm just going to rant about it.

Just seems like my health is falling apart since my c-section in December. I've had one case of mastitis, which is a breast infection, and my wisdom teeth are coming in and, according to a dental hygienist student, they need out urgently... and these pains... I don't know. I've been eating much healthier than ever before so I don't understand why I feel like crud.

I've been super busy, and pretty stressed to top it off. Naturally... two kids will do that to anyone. It gets better everyday, but I called it guys... I'm doing everything pretty much on my own, all day, everyday.

I plan on making a break for it tonight. Daddy is staying home with the boys and mommy is going out for the first time in almost a year! Fuck it. Lol. Really though, it is happening.

Hope you all are well. Didn't have time to read through, but I will catch up with you guys later

Went to an interview yesterday.....the interviewer told me "tell me what experience you have in this field?". So i told him everything and basically did all the talking which seemed like 15mins. Once done, he said IF i am chosen as a candidate i will be contacted by them....so basically i didn't get the job, usually they will set up for a second meeting on the spot if i did get the job. It works differently here in jobs, they will tell you at an interview that you got the job, calling back will never happen, especially it's a waste of their time to wait 3 days to call me back for a job when they need it asap.
So i am not a dummy when it comes to interviews, i basically wasted bus fare to get there and back when the boss actually saw my resume and found it interesting, so like wtf?
I actually have perfect qualifications for this job, not under or over qualified. So what is the problem here? I stated all my great work done in previous jobs, and seems like they don't want great work they want corrupted people. They overlook great work, and experience, so how am i going about a job that i know already? As a Security/Concierge you actually need to know what your doing, they don't want people to abide the policies? God help anyone in law enforcement today or related to it.
I also applied for customer service jobs, no luck even, not even a call! Last interview i had was for a retail store selling expensive leather jackets, and they said what was my thoughts about working on commission? I said no problem because i lived 1 block away from this place i don't need fare to go there i even mentioned this to her as an advantage, but didn't get the job.
But really? Commission at a retail store?? Why? Who would want to work as a sales associate on commission?!! for danier?

Who actually WANTS to buy 300-400$ leather jackets these days? I know sales and was in sales before and i tell you no one wants this now, only the rich can buy them! I surely can't, i don't even have a job let alone can find one now!

Zhaylin - I just realized you had a DJ on here Your dreams sound awesome, now I know I can read them. If that's not too stalkerish I hope you feel better.

Suena - I hope you feel better too! I can sympathize with the wisdom teeth - mine hurt like a real bitch sometimes. I think they're about halfway in now and don't hurt as much as they used to.

My complaints: What the hell is up with the pockets on female jeans? You can't put anything in pockets two inches deep. Once I had pockets that were purely decorative, and that sucked. Pockets are like the quick-slots of real life. They're not useful at all if you can't fit crap in them.

In other news, I woke up at 4:00 AM today for no reason and couldn't sleep again, so I'm exhausted. And the research participant didn't show up today. At least call or something if you can't make it.

Upside I worked out today, went for a walk and got a picture of a deer (I think I've found a main grazing area), got a new strat for AoE3, and it's getting warmer outside.
