I have been taking Galantamine occasionally for a couple years and it only works here and there and I have to say that this combination of supplements has affected my dreams each time I've taken it stronger than the strongest galantamine effect I have ever experienced and so far seems to be very reliable.
Does anyone else have any experience with this combination?
Sure, looks like a very solid combo to me! This is more or less what Yuschak called the "Extended Play" trigger. It's almost exactly like my usual "baseline" combo if I'm taking supplements. The one difference is that I tend to use either 5-HTP or melatonin pre-bed rather than combining them.
Again, the usual caveat applies -- doses are individualized, and it's always best to start with low doses and work one's way up to higher doses only as needed. Much less risk of desensitization that way!
I want to note that I'm still playing with this a little because I am having alot of trouble falling back asleep during WBTB (2-3 hours awake each time).
I struggled with this as well the first few times that I took galantamine. One huge factor is excitement. You realize that you're probably going to have a lucid dream and it can really get your mind racing.
I recommend using mindset to get past this if you can. Try not to fret about when/if you'll fall asleep. Let all those concerns go. Just relax, lay back, patiently observe your hypnagogic imagery and don't get too engaged. Just let it happen. Treat it like you're settling in for a nice movie, and whatever comes will come.
Some nice steady breathing and backward counting while patiently observing imagery generally does the trick for me. I like mentally counting backward from 99, starting over if I lose my place. Breathe deeply, focus on your awareness, relax, and trust the process. Edit: It's also worth mentioning that there's no need to worry if you don't see HI. Just go into the whole thing with no expectations apart from patiently waiting for your lucid dream.
With practice, this will come easier.
Good luck!
