What's Your Reaction When You Become Lucid?

I usually get a "cool, I'm dreaming" and I go on to do things

My first and only LD was of excitement. I mean I became lucid just like that and I was trying hard to fight the urge to do a RC, eventually, caved in I'm sure my reaction(s) for the next LDs would still be excitment but less excited once I reach my 6th, 7th, etc.... since I know that I have the techniques down

In my first LD I didn't really get excited, I just felt a bit strange, and then the dream started fading. I managed to stay in the dream for about twenty seconds before I woke up.

Usually when I first become lucid, I take a moment to marvel at how being lucid in a dream feels. It amazes me every single time!

And usually, it's accompanied by a thought, "Oh hey, this is actually a dream! Cool!"

My first one was so overwhelmingly exciting, but I remembered immediately about being calm, and I calmed myself and was able to do whatever it is that I decided to do. The one I just had last night was far more calm. There was, of course, bewilderment to start things off, but I relaxed briefly after.

At first i'm like, SCOOORE. Then I think about my options. The only ones i've thought of were summoning people. I always forget the cool stuff I read that I could try -_-

I usually go something like, 'yeah, I'm dreaming!'
I often think 'finally, I realized that', too.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

As I am relatively new to this, I get excited and say, "Yes! I am Lucid! What should I do? I have to work on remembering what to do once I become lucid.

At first, I'm like "Kay." But then I'm still like "Kay."

The novelty of the realization wears off after awhile. Lucidity is still sweet as balls, though. Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.

Usually when I see a dream sign I go, "Oh, I'm dreaming." Sometimes my head will disconnect and I'll be in the spinning world of black and colored rings. But now that I've mastered my excitement a bit more, I wait for a moment, rub my hands or something like that, then go off to explore whatever crazy world my head has made up for me.

In all of my lucids from day 1 of my first known lucid since i joined here, i've always remained calm, i never got excited one time in my lucids, not even during vigourous activity.

I only had two lucid dreams in my life yet. The first one was a nightmare I had as a kid. I didn't knew anything about LD's and so the only thing I did was shouting for my family to wake me up...
The second LD was after I learned about lucid dreaming. I'm serious, I don't know what I thought or said after I recognized that I'm dreaming. I just started a experiment.

I would like to know, how you experienced guys did react the first times you got lucid. Did you just say "Cool, I'm dreamin'" and started some cool stuff, like you're doing it now or did you freaked out and woke up or something?

      My reactions all depends...

It depends on what was going on inside the dream that caused me to become lucid..

sometimes i am like "YES I AM DREAMING!"

other times it maybe so realistic i can't tell if I am dreaming or sleeping and I say things like "Holy fuck...are you serious....I'm Dreaming!?!"

so it just all depends, but for the most part I am excited haha

Usually, I'm like "I'm dreaming", or "oh, so this is a dream". Then, just go about things. I used to get MORE excited- but not too excited to where that was the end of the LD.

I can report what will happen in my next LD tomorrow (yes, I'm just that confident, I just had a 3 LD's this morning, the morning before that, and before that).
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

I'm usually pretty calm, I'm just like "Oh, I'm lucid, I better do as much as possible before time runs out."

When I become lucid, I usually realize that 1) my dream sucks; 2) I've fallen asleep while doing homework and I need to finish it; 3) I need to wake up for school or something. At this point, I employ a number of techniques to induce waking.

If none of the three conditions above apply, then I just roll with the dream plot and try to spice it up a little. That, or immediately start flying.
Somehow the moment seems so windowless
I cannot see tomorrow through its panes
And yet I cling with simple childlike faith
To my belief that warmth can never die
