Say that one more time, I dare you.... [Non-Lucid]

There was a lot that had already happened in this dream that I don't remember clearly now, but it involved me being in the backyard of my house and seeing lots of "villains", like with a supervillain kind of atmosphere to it. I was building a history with these people, though like I said, I don't know what occurred now. Where my memory comes in is a little strange, I was just in my house with my parents and my aunt and uncle and we were having the villains over for some reason. Based on the context, I think it might have been that we were giving them a chance to redeem themselves and prove that they could be regular people.

This one guy brought his wife and son over, and I really didn't like him. We were all trying to act civilized but I didn't trust him at all, and I got the feeling that he only brought along his family to try to prove that he was a good person which just made me see him as even more of a scumbag. The main thing I remember knowing about this guy was that he normally attacks women in the bathroom and he's pretty sick, so I immediately stood in the hallway opening by the front door. He was introduced to everyone and told that my aunt was in the bathroom, and he started walking in my direction and said that he could go say hi. I just spread myself out across the opening so he couldn't get by me and told him he could wait. He tried to push past me but I got mad and told him that this was my house so it's my rules he has to follow.

He backed off and I started flipping through this book of pamphlets I randomly had in my hand. Eventually my aunt came out and I walked down the hallway a bit myself and stood right at where it turns, next to both my room and the bathroom. The guy followed me down there so it was just the two of us, and he was suddenly much less civil. He made some crass remark about how he's really in charge and there's nothing I can do about it, or something like that. It was basically this rant about how we're all subservient to him, and I was just getting more and more pissed. I was so angry when he stopped talking that I started responding but couldn't find my words, so I tripped over them at first. He took on this mad face and said "Did I say you could stutter, bitch?" and reached out to smack me, but I grabbed him arm in mid-air and unleashed the fury. I beat the shit out of him, the main parts of which I remember involve twisting his arm and flipping into the wall, grabbing him by the back and repeatedly smashing his skill directly into the edge of the wall, and pummeling him into the ground before picking up his beaten and bloody body and hurling it down the hall into the living room and watching him just kind of twitch and flail around.

Immediately after this I turned and walked into the bathroom. I started trying to think about how I was going to handle the little boy seeing his dad beaten to a pulp, but at that moment I really didn't care. He had it coming to him.

      #1 - Pie Graphs? [Non-Lucid]

I was at some club somewhere where there was a big group of people, myself included, all getting excited to go on some kind of club-sponsored vacation. I'm pretty sure I had just shown up there randomly not expecting anything so I was pumped, and I ran into my high school friend O who I don't see much anymore but who I would see almost every time I ever went to a club back when I went out a lot. There were also these two girls from one of my college classes this semester with almost identical names who are friends, for the sake of this report I'll call them K-blonde and K-black for their hair colors, who there just hanging out. I was looking at this big cake that was just sitting randomly in the open with O, when K-blonde came over and grabbed my arm and pulled me off to the side.

I've like never even talked to these girls in waking life, but they both seemed like they were really digging me tonight. They were both coming on to me and I was getting into it, but then the whole scene shifted and suddenly it wasn't that we were at the club together but just that I was talking to them online, and it was mostly K-blonde now. We were just chatting for a bit and I remember thinking that it was clear that she was really attracted to me, but then the dream started to become a little unstable and the conversation took an odd turn, though it was perceived as totally normal at the time. She sent me an image of this sort of pie graph showing some of her favorite things, and for the rest of the dream I was thinking I should send one back to her with my own things, so I was trying to think of what would be best to put on it.

In the meantime, I had gone from being on the computer to driving my car down a neighborhood street. I drove by some random house and saw my own car, the car I was driving, parked in one of the garages. I didn't find this even slightly odd, and immediately took it to mean that that was K-blonde's house. However, that was really the last thought of the dream.

      #2 - Body Magic [Non-Lucid]

I met up with a group of people from school, including the professor of the class we were in I believe, and we all had accounts on this one fetish site so we started talking about that as an icebreaker. The conversation took off from there and we talked about a few different things from there on, but I can't remember much of it now. What I do remember is that this 13 year old girl wanted to try to use her magic skills to hide my hair so it looked like I was bald just to see if she could, and she said it would be fine because she randomly hag wigs on her. I said okay but I was a little nervous, and this other girl there said that she wouldn't be able to do it right.

Somehow we were now in the den at my house and just hanging out on the couch and chatting. Everyone except for me and the two girls slowly disappeared. For a little bit the room got dark and I had these two weird black blobs moving around in my vision like some really bizarre hallucination, and after they went away the first girl was gone and the second had become this male magic-using cat. I was concerned about my vision and asked him if he knew any spells to make it better, and he said he did so he used. I wasn't really that sure if it actually worked or not, but I thanked him for it and I spent the rest of the dream just petting and scratching him in return. He was rolling around like he was in heaven and his body was shrinking as he was doing it, and I just remember thinking that all the oxytocin being released from this must just be making him go crazy with euphoria.

    3. More than one kind of trip....

      #1 - House Sitting [Non-Lucid]

Supposedly I was looking after my friend S's house while she and her family were away on vacation, but it didn't actually look like her house. I had my PSP with me and I was playing some game on it that was like filled with these giant patterned block towers that you just had to bounce this ball down in certain ways and see where it goes, hard to explain exactly but it was very basic yet trippy. Someone was there who I think was fairly unstable but I remember them being N at one point, and I was trying to show him the game but on a bigger screen. There was an old TV set up in front of the bed in the room we were in and a flat screen TV up on the back board of the bed, so first I tried the former with no luck. We decided to try to move the bed to try the latter, and as we did drawers of it started opening up and I saw this cute bathing suit in one that was mostly teal with some black. I randomly decided to pull it out and put it on, which I think it might have just skipped to not have to justify why I changed in front of N.

By the time I payed more attention to the bed again I noticed that it was completely flipped around and I figured we were probably just about good to try to hook it up again, but then we heard voices coming from outside the room and I knew that they must have returned from their trip, and I had known in the back of my mind that they were supposed to be arriving soon. I took the suit back off and just shoved it back in the drawer from behind the bed as S came into the room and N just kept her busy. She didn't seem to care that the bed was backwards. Strangely the first thing that happened is that S asked N how his trip was, but I rationalized this to myself by thinking that N must have just gotten back from vacation as well right before coming over to hang out with me. But that's the last thing that happened.

      #2 - Trip Sitting [Non-Lucid]

I was at my house in my room with S there, and strangely I was holding on to her and she seemed to be slowly losing her balance. We were standing at the foot of my bed and suddenly I realized that if she swayed too much she might see my bong that I have in a place where most people won't see it, and I become nervous because she doesn't approve of weed. She actually does look in just the right place to see it, but there seems to be something wrong with her and I don't think it actually registered.

At that point she became this guy PR who I knew and occasionally saw and had classes with all throughout my public school career. I believe I suddenly gained false memories at this point, because I remember somewhat vividly remembering this but I don't think it actually happened, of him smoking DMT, for what I think was the first time. He's becoming more and more loose in my arms and so I just slowly let him down on the ground. He's totally immobile and just to make sure I'm not crazy I check his heart rate. It's fast but normal, so I just wait it out for a few minutes, which the dream kind of sped through.

I was sitting next to him on the ground when he started to stir. He was moving clumsily and muttering some ramblings to himself, so I just put my hand on his back and told him to calm down and take it easy. He takes a breather to orient himself, and then he looks at me and asks "What just happened?" I was still trying to make sure I had the situation right myself, so first I asked him if he even remembered anything. He said yes, so then I briefly described a DMT breakthrough to him and how it can take you to another world full of entities, and I asked him if that's what he experienced. He said yes while still looking very mind-blown, so I patted him on the pack and said "Congrats, you want more?" His eyes got wide and he said "Noooo...." and I just laughed and said don't worry about it, obviously he would need time to integrate. I jokingly pointed out that we always have weed instead and was thinking about going to grab the bong, but then the dream ended.

      #1 - Missed Opportunity!! [DILD]

I was in a warehouse setting where I was doing something that I feel like I would have wanted to remember, but I can't recall it very well. This is most likely because it was my first dream of the night and I fell asleep high because I had smoked to get rid of a good deal of stomach pain. I vaguely remember a couple quick, nondescript but tauntingly awesome looking flashes of it and then I went though this big opening to be standing outside of a small building waaay up high on a cliff. It basically looked, from my perspective, like it was a cliff looking down into the Grand Canyon, it was so far away. I could also see a bustling city in the center of it in the distance, and I decided that it would be really cool if I got to the city by doing a running jump and roll off over the cliff and just bounce all the way down there. I wanted to get a good shot so I climbed up to the top of the building I was next to (somehow...) so I would have more running space, but as soon as I turned back around to get the view again the whole scenery had changed to just be a city around me. Damn it!!

I was sad but then I heard a mysterious evil voice saying that they had kidnapped someone and hid them on a tall rooftop, so I scanned the area and found them. I flew over to the roof and this guy was just stuck up there and he was grateful to be saved but seemed really unstable. He was really paranoid about being touched and backed away from me when I tried to approach him, and then things got really psychedelic before my eyes. He was rapidly transforming into different humanoid shapes, the only one I can really remember being a LEGO body, but I knew that it was just because the dream was falling apart.

#2 - Star Wars Restaurant [DILD]

I was with some girl at a Star Wars themed restaurant, and there was a dream leading up to it I'm pretty certain, but I can't really remember how we got there. I became lucid as I was just looking at her, but then shortly after that I woke up.

Not the most exciting thing, but still a lucid.

#3 - One Gathering After Another [DILD]

I was hanging out in this big building in some room that was supposed to be like a chatroom except in person, and it was for DV users. Unfortunately I don't really remember anything that happened in this room , but afterwards I met up with my friend M and went with her to a party downstairs. There were lots of people I knew there, including this guy GL that I hugged, and when I was there I started becoming lucid. I noticed that there were far too many things in my pockets to be comfortable, like significantly more than they could actually hold since they're pretty small, so I decide to go find somewhere I could safely put them down. As I was leaving I saw this girl S and her girlfriend P who I had just met recently at a meeting of BDSM people around here. Somehow I decided that they must be good lucid dreamers, so I had them come with me.

We all three walked out of the room and then flew up and phased through the ceiling up to the next floor. I was taking us back to the chatroom, but we had to walk through this fancy party (almost like a ball with royal dresses) to get there and we lost S along the way. I got to the room and noticed that there were lots of people I knew from growing up there now like this girl AH I met in kindergarten instead of people from that forum. I wasn't phased and just started emptying my pockets there, but in the meantime my lips began to swell and were feeling very bizarre. I tried to distract myself from the sensation but it was very solid. I turned around and P told me that we needed to grab S before we went back to the party, but we would have to find her first because she had shapeshifted into a girl in a fancy dress in that room. I see this short girl in black and suddenly know that it's her, so I just walk up to her and grab her around the waist and say come on and she gives in.

I think this dream could have gone on longer, but the lips thing was becoming worse and worse and I started trying to move my tongue around to see if I could get my real body to do it and see if I was lying on my face in an uncomfortable way or something, but I couldn't tell so I just said to hell with it, time to wake up.
I opened my eyes seconds later and, of course, there was nothing wrong.

      #4 - Time Flowing Backwards [Non-Lucid]

I got up in the morning and I was using my cannabidiol oil, and the first thing I noticed was the clock in my room. The second hand was moving backwards, and I became slightly concerned about it. Not enough to really spring into action, though. I went into the bathroom to start putting the drops on my tongue, and saw that the clock in there was still moving normally. I was suspicious of it though, and didn't think of it as enough evidence to convince me that time wasn't flowing backwards.

#5 - Depth? Who Needs It? [DILD]

I was in a class in what appeared to be something like high school, but I was communicating with someone I only met this semester in college, this girl in my humanities class named C who sits two seats to the right of me. She wasn't actually in the class though, while this guy SJ from high school was, I was just talking to her remotely. Depending on when it was in the dream I was either typing an email or instant message to her or something or I was writing on a piece of paper that magically functioned like that and filled in messages whenever we wrote them. She was talking about mushrooms and I told her they were really cool. She said she secretly wanted to try them but she was afraid of getting into it all, and she used this metaphor where she said for example that a reason that she wouldn't want to use amphetamine is because it speeds you up and she wants to experience her thoughts at the natural pace, she doesn't want any of her life to race by and when it came to mushrooms she felt the same way about her creativity.

Around this time Rob Huebel and Rob Riggle walked into the room and I perceived them as cops based on their comedy routine that they showed in Super High Me. At that time I suddenly noticed that I had a bong in my hands and was hiding it under the table, and they never saw it though it should have been really obvious. I became a bit nervous and sort of forgot about my communication with C, but then
I started to become lucid. I got up and hurled the bong at the wall and watched it shatter, and in the process I accidentally knocked my cellphone forward off of the table. I stretched out over it and tried to reach down and back to reach it but it was too far away, but then I got an idea. I did that trick like where a cartoon character will act like the moon actually is really tiny and right there in the sky and they'll just put their fingers right around it in their point of view and grab it, and it worked perfectly. My phone was a little bit smaller than normal but I still had it in my hand, so I put it in my pocket and started walking off.

I could tell that the dream was starting to fade away, and I saw this large girl in blue scrubs around my age who reminds me of someone I've seen before at school leaving the classroom. I jumped up on to her and just hugged and squeezed her, but as she started taking us out of the room things were getting very dark and all I could really still do was hear people talking in the halls. I started making out with her and could feel it a bit and I had hoped that this might revive the dream, but no luck.

When I woke up I really wanted to go back to bed and try to keep this crazy ride going, but I had a friend who crashed here overnight and I didn't want to be rude by just staying passed out all morning, so maybe next time!
    5. Lots and Lots of Visitors

Lots and Lots of Visitors [Non-Lucid]

My first memory of the dream comes in at my house with a friend who is over here very often, N, coming over. I can't remember much of what we did exactly, but at one point he said he was going to leave to do something. At the time I was on the phone with another friend who was going to come over as well, my old best friend from childhood S, and he was saying something as N was telling me his plan so I didn't exactly catch it before he left. He left his jacket, which I'm not sure he actually has, though.

The dream jumps forward a bit in my memory and S is already over now and we've been smoking weed, and I'm trying to get my friend M to come over now too. We're hanging out in the living room with everything pretty much out in the open when the front door opens unexpectedly. S's mom, who was definitely not really his mom, comes in and she seems angry, and I hide the pipe that's in my hand but there's still weed on the table so it doesn't do much good. He gets up and ends up having to go home with her, so I'm just alone now, aside from my parents being home too.

Shortly afterward there's a knock at the door and I think it might be M, but when I go to answer it there's a large truck parked in front of the house and a lot of people I don't recognize. The guy at the door was Hispanic and, if memory serves though it may not, there was at least one more Hispanic and two white guys still idling around the truck, and all of them looked equally tough and intimidating. The guy at the door had this really mad expression and I became nervous. He started asking me if some guy, also with a Hispanic name, was here and I told him he must have the wrong house. He started muttering about payback and how he had a gun and all of this stuff, and I freaked out and closed the door but I could see through the window that he wasn't going anywhere.

I walked over to the kitchen and started telling my parents the situation very frantically while trying to figure out what to do, and I noticed N's jacket still on the couch and began to wonder where he had gone and why he isn't back yet, hoping that nothing bad had happened. My dad went to the front door and opened it again and I got kind of scared, but he started taking to the guy and invited him and a few of the others around the truck inside. He asked about their situation and found out that they were trying to get revenge on some guy who had wronged them and they had tracked him here by using some special card or something, like it looked sort of like some kind of club card in the style of a credit card, but it turned out that my parents had actually registered that card years and years ago and then given it away, so the trail didn't actually lead them to the correct place. They accepted the story and looked bummed out, and I saw the guy who had knocked at the door suddenly looking much less intimidating, and the last thing I can remember is my dad starting to apologize to them.

    6. Colorful Birds and Pandas

      Colorful Birds and Pandas [Non-Lucid]

I was at the park with a couple girls, who I can't really identify now. It was a very foggy day outside and we were just hanging around on some jungle gym, but somewhere down the line it began to double as an apartment complex. For a good amount of the dream it was raining and so at the point my memory really starts to come in we were just waiting for the girl who lived in the complex to find her keys and open her door so we could go inside. However, she wanted to smoke weed first for some reason. She pulled a pipe out of nowhere that had a bowl in it that was clearly already cashed, but she tried to hit it anyway. Afterwards she reaches out to pass it to the other girl who declines, and I look down over the railing and see a lot of big, brightly colored birds walking all over the playground. Since this girl basically wasn't letting us into her apartment, we soon just started climbing back down off the jungle gym while talking about how the birds must be in season.

As we start walking away from the park we part ways and I come across a house that looks essentially exactly like mine on the neighboring street, but the area is nothing like where I live. I'm somehow struck with the knowledge that this house must have been built specifically to attract those strange birds, and pandas. I turn around to look across the street and see a panda barreling towards me and I'm happy that one has arrived, but suddenly I begin to question if we've tried having a panda before and it didn't work out and so maybe this is bad idea. I seem to have forgotten that this isn't my house at this point, and I've definitely never owned a panda before.... Out of nowhere, I feel as though my tongue has swollen or closed up my throat, preventing me from breathing. I became understandably freaked out and spent the rest of the dream trying to take breaths through my nose as deeply as I could, with little success, and just continued to struggle until I woke up.

    7. I guess I should log these....

      Three Nights Ago

      #1 - Guilt-Free Food!! [DILD]

I was with high school friends and random people in a large mansion watching tray after tray of food be prepared. A large dish was placed in front of me with an assortment of snacks on it. As I was staring at it I suddenly became lucid and came to an important realization: guilt-free food!! I reached out and started grabbing everything that I could and shoving it into my mouth. First I remember tortilla chips and guacamole, then chicken strips and ketchup, followed by cupcakes with icing and sprinkles, and something else too but it's hard to remember now. The flavors of all of these foods seemed correct, but there was a significant drawback to it all. I had the flavor, but not the physical sensation of actually eating. It made the experience seem less realistic or satisfying, and I decided that I should try to focus on that whole process next time.

As this was all going on I had the feeling that the dream was starting to lose stability. All of the other people in the room began to chant "the burning bridge in Bethlehem", oddly enough, and I started repeating this along with them to keep the plot going. However, it only worked for so long and the environment ended up falling apart.

#2 - Summoning Practice, Again [DILD]

I was wandering through a high school, not necessarily one of the ones I went to, looking for my next class or something of the sort. I spontaneously became lucid and started talking to people in the hallways and opening doors to practice my summoning. The first person who came to mind was this girl who I met in my physical education class in senior year and always found attractive, and I would expect her to be behind each door or actually say out loud that she would be but it didn't quite work. However, there was a girl behind every one and with each try it seemed to resemble her a little more and I would feel them up a bit before moving on, getting particularly distracted with the last one's rather plump posterior.

After that I gave up on her and decided to call out for an old friend instead, and the door I took looking for her led me into a large and empty office. At that point I lost what I sometimes call the dream "chatter", this sort of ambient non-sound that tells me that the dream hallucinations are still running in full force. Without it the scene lacks realism and begins to collapse in on itself, and that's exactly what happened despite my best efforts from that point on.

      Last Night

      #1 - Meeting The In-Laws [Non-Lucid]

There was a family party going on and my family had somehow joined with a new "step-family" and this absolutely horrible woman was my new grandma. I was eating my dinner around a table with her and some other people and she picked up a bag of fucking dog turds and put some in my food. She had a really nasty attitude too, but I can't remember what made me think that now. Eventually I walked away and started talking to my cousins about how awful she is and they agreed, and then I met into a new step-cousin, another one of the woman's grandchildren, and she said that they always have to put up with her crap. She starts telling me something about her and her brother run some company that owns the building we were partying in and she had vouched for him for something at one point but he used her support to snatch part of the company out from under her.... I don't know, it was confusing, but she was showing me these computers she uses to remote control salad bars and other things with high-tech interfaces. That's about all I remember about that, though. And at one I definitely walked back to the new grandma's food when she stepped away from the table and spit in her rice. Hehe.

      #2 - Flexible Walls [DILD]

I was at a party with some high school friends that I've still kept in touch with, and one of them gets me and few other girls to sneak out the front door with him and tells me that he's going to make a dash to his car and take off. I follow him down to the parking lot, and apparently the party is taking place in this large apartment building with some kind of event going on on the ground floor. There are celebrities in fancy suits and dresses all over the place. I follow him to his car and the other girls get in with him and I start to joke with him about something, but I can't remember what exactly. He laughs and rolls his eyes at me as he pulls out of the lot with me still hanging on the window and threaten to say that he has speed in his car with all these cops and celebrities around, very loudly. He freaks out but I was just messing with him anyway, I knew he didn't have any and I just wanted to pay him back for brushing me off and I know how paranoid he can get, but he's pretty much straight-edge. He stopped and started begging me not too, but I just laughed and said no one would care in the middle of all this commotion anyway and he drives off.

I walked back to my own car, which was not my car at all and is very pink, but there were some creepers following me. For some reason I went to the back right passenger door and unlocked it manually, and I could tell that they were waiting for me to auto-unlock all the doors because they were standing over by the driver door. They all panicked since it wasn't going according to plan and I started trying to close all the doors and windows in time but one of them got in the door I unlocked and grabbed a few things, but aside from that I was able to shake them loose after a little bit of a struggle. I decided to re-park my car somewhere more in the middle of everything and go back to the party. As I was walking back I saw some celebrity in a dress looking at me from a distance and I had a momentary feeling that she was Hayden Panettiere, who oddly seems to be something of a dream sign for me and who I've become in both lucids and non-lucids, but I got distracted easily and didn't pursue it. The last thing I remember doing outside is looking at my phone and seeing that it was, I believe, 5:27 PM. I thought to myself that my friend was acting oddly for having left so early.

Next thing I know I'm back in the building and I'm either walking into or already in the elevator back up. There are metal walls on all sides and this is where
I become lucid. The first thing I did was sort of make my hand stiff so that my thumb and all my fingers are pointing out in the same direction. I firmly pressed them up against a wall to see if I could push it back at all, but I wasn't expecting to be able to. I used to do this to try to phase through walls before I figured out a much better way to do it, but I did remember that back then after enough pushing the walls would start to bend back some. I backed up and had both of my hands in the same position now and pulled them back to put my all into this, and then I lunged them forward at the wall. There was a loud banging noise and the whole thing bent back pretty far and stopped, then bounced back and forth until it balanced itself out again and became a solid wall. I laughed at this and started doing it over and over again to all of the walls and the ceiling. However, I realized that I was getting too into this rather than continuing the plot of the dream, and I phased through the elevator doors to try to get out of them and into some hallway, but all it did was cause the dream to fade to black and I was unable to retrieve it successfully.
    8. Love, Fear, and Calea Crowds

      by , 03-10-2013 at 05:12 PM
Well... this was an interesting night. The first thing I'd have to say I noticed was that all of my dreams took place at home. And not a home rendered wrongly or somewhere else perceived as home, just my regular old house. Doesn't seem like that happens too often with this many dreams, but it's probably just a coincidence.

Anyway, this time I took 50 mg of zinc at 9:30 and smoked some calea at ~10:00, and then I smoked more for technical WBTBs at 5:22 and 7:40, according to my phone log. This night actually started out very unpleasant.... I passed out with my laptop in bed and must have fallen asleep on my arm at a weird angle, because around like 2-3 in the morning I had this odd hypnagogia of orange dots in a grid setup expanding to orange circles with a weird hissing sound, and then I woke up with a high level of anxiety and very extreme right arm pain. I freaked out and ran to the bathroom to inspect myself and my whole perception was going hazy and getting really bright, and I ended up taking a couple Librium pills as well, which are chlordiazepoxide, a close relative of diazepam, or Valium, hoping to calm myself down. Like half an hour to an hour after that, I woke up again with a lot of stomach discomfort and had a very uncomfortable bathroom visit, which I blame on all the pizza I ate yesterday and the day before.

That was finally the end of the festivities though, and I hadn't had any actual dreams before all of that, so after I fell asleep again from that point on is where my night really began.

#1 - I wondered when this would happen again. [Non-Lucid]

I don't remember how exactly, but I met a girl and I want to say her name was Jessica (and I was looking up pictures of Jessica Rabbit cosplay last night, so maybe that had something to do with it?), and I invited her over to my house because I had some feelings for her. Once she came over, the dream continued on under the impression that we were already in a relationship together and this was the first time she was visiting my house. I can't remember exactly what it was we were doing... watching TV or playing games or something, but we were just cuddling and acting all cute with each other the whole time, and then later we were eating a meal and my dad and one of his friends were standing out on the back porch and he was peeking in to tell me some odd instructions for burying something in his room that my mom was purposely ignoring. Then I gave Jessica a tour of where our food was, the two fridges and the pantry, which were completely packed with all kinds of heavily-detailed food (influenced by the calea?), and she made some joke about the cereal that I can't recall now. I was really happy to be with her, she was really cool and collected and definitely my type, but then as we were headed to my room I woke up.

      #2 - I get the reference, but... Butters? [Non-Lucid]

I believe I was waiting for a game to be delivered in the mail, when a group of policemen showed up at the front door. I barely cracked it open to talk to them, and after a little discussion they held up some chemistry glassware and told me that my dad and "my friend" (who I immediately perceived as Butters from South Park) are both hardcore cookers of random drugs and they were after them. This was very clearly influenced by the fact that I just started rewatching Breaking Bad with a friend of mine. They asked me to get him and tell him to go out back, and I went to tell him what was going on and then returned to the front door, and I started freaking out knowing that they were going to search the house because I didn't want them to find my stoner stuff too, but then I woke up.

#3 - Well this dream was pretty dark.... [DILD]

I was again in my house with my parents and a group of friends and there was some killer with a gun stalking us, she kept moving all around the house trying to get a good view of the inside through the windows so she could shoot us. My parents took my friends somewhere to hide safely while I just kept hiding around in the house in strategic places where I couldn't be seen, but where I could just barely peek out every now and then and continue to track the killer's movements. Eventually it seemed like she wasn't going to be able to get us easily, so I ran to my bathroom where there were no visible windows and met up with my parents there. I asked them where everyone was and they just laughed and told me that they weren't actually my parents, they were people that the killer payed to disguise themselves like that so they could get close to me undetected and take me out. My heart sank, and at least one of them pulled out a handgun. I had to wrestle with them until I could get one free, and then I managed to take them down and shot them both in the head multiple times to make sure that they were dead, because they kept moving. I headed back out and my memory gets a little blurry here, but somehow I managed to track the killer down from the inside and shot her too before she could shoot me.

At that point a few of my friends and some family members came out from hiding and we all were celebrating. But then this TV show came on in the living room with lots of shooting going on and will still perceived it as people coming after us, so I pick up this big machine gun out nowhere and start shooting at them, but just one shot at a time. I managed to shoot one guy and felt good abot myself, but then my cousin A, who's birthday party we went to last night (and ate pizza), just rolls her eyes and takes the gun from me. Somehow (I'm not sure if I looked away and back at her or what) she had actually entered the TV show completely and was rapid-firing at everyone and easily takes down all of them. Around this time I randomly
became lucid. I actually managed to remember that I had smoked all that calea, which is really a first for me, and I decided to try to jump into the TV screen as well which was now in the area of the living room where the corners of the couches meet for some reason. I just wanted to hug A, but as I jumped my perception just zoomed in and then floated around the room for a couple seconds before restabilizing, and a couple DCs (I want to say they were my parents?) just looked at me like I was weird. I looked over and the TV was now back in its proper place and there was some Star Wars game just sitting there on the startup screen. I decided to try again with entering that game, but just as I was about to go for it I woke up.

#4 - Why couldn't we have just watched it in person? ._. [Non-Lucid]

J and Z, this girl I just met recently, came over to watch some sort of Lincoln play that was going on somewhere in my house, but we were going to watch it through random TV screens around the house instead of just seeing the actual thing. I can't remember exactly what it was about, but I know that a lot of the speech Lincoln was giving was based on that clip from a show I really can't remember the name of right now, but it's the one where it starts with the girl asking a panel of politicians why America is the greatest country in the world and the one guy goes off on this long rant about how it isn't. Unfortunately we kept changing rooms trying to get a better reception or a bigger TV screen, and we basically missed all of it. Afterward everyone was leaving, because there were a lot of people here, and J hitched a ride back to his campus (in another state ) with some girls who were going to some bar or club called "88" that was supposedly right next to it. This other big group of girls was about to leave too, but some random guy came in the house and told them that their car got towed because they didn't have a parking permit to park on the street in front of my house when there were already so many cars there, and they would've known that would happen if they had just listened to him before instead of just brushing him off. One of the guys still at the house volunteered to drive a couple of them home, and I asked where the rest of them were headed, but before they could respond I woke up.

And that's it. All of these dreams were actually pretty vivid too, so I suppose the supplements did their job.

    9. L-Arginine Trial

      by , 03-09-2013 at 03:47 PM
Alright, so this time I decided to take 500 mg of L-arginine before going to bed to see what the effect would be.... This one wasn't based so much on neurochemistry research so much as just going off of anecdotal evidence. Vivid dreams are not infrequently reported with L-arginine. My trial with it was interesting.... My first impression was that it had been unsuccessful. I awoke after roughly seven hours of sleep without memory of any other awakenings and no dream recall at all. You know, often even when you don't remember your dreams you can still remember that you experienced something, you just don't know what it was. Not so with this... I had a totally blank slate. I remembered thinking a couple things, but that's it. I wasn't even sure if those were actually parts of dreams or not. I also woke up very much "in the mood", another reported effect, so I figured that that would probably be the end of it and I wouldn't really get anything out of it because I generally have a hard time falling back to sleep in that case. Then I rolled over and passed out very quickly.

      And here's... what I got.

      Emotional Responses [Non-Lucid]

My memory first really steps in when I was locked in the bathroom in my house in the dark, lying in the bathtub. Probably related to the fact that I took a bath last night, but there was no water in it in the dream. The fact that it was almost pitch black makes this part of the dream a little hazy in my memory, but otherwise the dream was quite vivid. I had some memory of what exactly was going on.... Basically, there was this evil witch, or some other dark force, who was haunting our house, and she worked by using illusions to play with your emotions and lure you into her traps. I guess that's what was going on here, because there were bats flying all around the bathroom and I was freaking out. Likely inspired by the fact that I watched The Dark Knight Rises last night, too. I kept trying to imagine the bathroom door opening up hoping that it actually would somehow, and trying to get the bats to do things with my mind because I guess I realized that it was just another illusion, but it wasn't working. Finally I took a chance and overcame my fear and just ran for the door and made it out to the hallway. I met my mom there, and we both ran out to the main part of the house.

Let me give a quick description here.... At the end of this hall, immediately to the front and left is a little walkway after the front door, and just beyond that is the living room. If you go right and follow the walkway to its end you get to the kitchen and eventually the laundry room, and just beyond the kitchen in the same direction as the living room is the den. Finally, there's a bar in its own little square design placed directly in the four corners of these rooms, so you can continuously walk through all four of them without changing direction if you just walk around the bar over and over again. Got it? Alright, so basically, my mom and I went right into the kitchen and my mom started frantically searching for things on the counter. All of the lights in the house were still out except for the distant one in the laundry room, and she started telling me to look for the "seven-fruited" something.... I can't remember exactly what it was, but the point was that it would hold seven souls, or seven fragments of the witch's soul, or something like that that would basically mean that she was somehow weakened without it, and it would be actually be just some basic household object we wouldn't just have immediately suspected. My mom ended up running through the den into the living room and searching through presents or something beneath a tree that didn't look like a Christmas tree but was exactly where ours always was, and I followed her because I was afraid that she was going to get caught in an illusion somehow since she was freaking out. I started looking around the house to make sure nothing was going on since she was lost in her own world.

I stepped back on the walkway where the hall ends and looked down into the kitchen again. That's when I saw him.... My cat that just died in waking life was sitting on one of the machines in the laundry room and just staring right at me. Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew this was wrong, but I was struck with an overwhelming desire to run up to him, and I called out to him as I did so. (Yup, I'm the dumb girl that dies in this horror movie.) As I was looking at him this weird phantom double of his face kind of burst out at me and made me feel kind of like this trance state blip, and then the scene had changed. We were in some creepy kitchen that I was unfamiliar with and I was a little nervous, but I didn't care. He was sitting on the kitchen counter now, and I ran up to him and started holding him and petting him, but something was wrong.... He felt real but he was totally still and lifeless, and his head was really turned or twisted to the side in a bizarre way. He didn't try to move or respond to anything that I did and I was becoming emotional, and then I felt this ominous feeling starting to creep up on me... but then
      I woke up.

I'm not sure if I'll be trying this supplement again yet.

    10. I almost forgot what it was like to have lucids like this; the dream world is incredible....

      by , 03-08-2013 at 03:38 PM
So just for the record, I've gotten lucid three times in the past four days. >.> But I haven't felt like recording them because the one from Tuesday just totally disappeared from memory, and the one from yesterday I remember basically nothing of either, but I remember all of the non-lucid bits both before and after it. I guess I might add that one in here.... But the first one, I want to say that nothing important happened. But I might just want that to be the case. ._. There's really no way to say for sure. The second one... I'm pretty certain that the only thing I did was phasing, which is of course nothing new for me. I remember experiencing it and everything, I just don't really remember the experience itself. Oh well, the one from last night very much made up for it....

Oh, and for the last few days I've been taking 400 mg of L-theanine a day, divided into two doses of 200 mg with one in the morning and one in the late afternoon or early evening, usually.

#1 - But why are we in a skyscraper to begin with? [Non-Lucid]

I was in some school class in a huge skyscraper in some downtown area, and there were random people I graduated from high school with, this girl who sits behind me in my speech class I'm taking this semester at college, and my parents, for some reason. There was a massive storm coming our way with tornadoes visible through the windows and everything, and I was holding my mom's hand as we were all scared. There's a flashforward and things get hazy, but I remember seeing people evacuate but thinking that it wasn't on the same day but it was the same "windy season"....

#2 - Who would build a bathroom like this!? >_< [DILD]

The details of this have gotten hazier since I didn't care to write it down at first, but there was some gigantic computer mouse whose cord stretched all the way across some city streets, and it got pulled away and I tried to chase it but lost track of it. I remember seeing my old high school friend AB's car, but then things get blurry.... This is around where I became lucid and phased but then my next memory picks again at the non-lucid point. :T I was spending the night somewhere with AB, M, and these guys J and Ma who I met through M. The next morning, I woke up and started blasting some really heavy club music and M got excited, and her boyfriend D, who's suddenly there, turns to me and says something like "We can catch up later." I then realized that I needed to go change my clothes so I went to the bathroom to do so, but there were big windows all over the door so it was very easy to see inside. Everyone was oriented in the direction of the windows, but just not looking directly into them, but of course it was making me very uncomfortable at the thought of starting to change. J was saying maybe they should turn in a different direction, but then I woke up.

      Today

Last night, I took 250 mg of choline bitartrate immediately before going to bed. I'm fairly certain this had an effect, particularly on the lucid.

#1 - This would have been great to become lucid for!! [Non-Lucid]

I was playing some bizarre new PSP game the whole time, and there actually was something going on in the rest of the dream too but I pretty much missed it all because I was so focused on playing, so I don't really remember the plot anymore. What I remember about the game was that it had a setup where you had a team of playable characters that reminded me of the structure of NIS games, but it was mixed with a simulated life raising element like chao from the Sonic Adventure and Sonic Advance games, and the actual creature and level designs were sort of Pikmin-like. I really wish I could've played more of it because it seemed really interesting, but that's about all I can recall of it, and I remember walking up stairs or something maybe to see my speech professor... but no more solid details than that.

I woke up from this dream with a very strong headache. I'm fairly certain that my head was smashed into this part of the backboard of my bed and that's what caused it, because the pain slowly went away in a way that I can only relate to when you wake up with a numb arm and it slowly returns to normal, but it was my first time having that type of thing happen so I can only guess. But I really hope that that's what happened because otherwise it would mean I woke up with a severe unexplained headache. >___>

      #2 - I could've told them this would happen... somehow. [Non-Lucid]

I was in a high school PE class (though I think the setting might actually have been my elementary school, sort of?) with O and people kept trying to give him balls that corresponded to different sports, but I remember equating these to video game weapons in my mind and thinking that they were doing it wrong because they didn't realize that "his growth charts are unique". Eventually he decided to play what I think was registered as either baseball or golf... but it's really just a bunch of balls bouncing around and people chasing after them with no clear goals. He makes the "winning play" I believe when at least one of the teams is "frozen" at 23 seconds left on the timer, but it switches to this weird TV view for it that only shows symbols to represent the player. He was excited that they run, but due to the odd way I saw it play out I asked him for verification that he actually was the reason they won, claiming that "they only showed the overhead", or some such nonsense. Suddenly he got all depressed at the thought because he didn't realize that he had won it, he thought he was just a part of it, so we asked some other guy and he said that that was the case. Suddenly O sank into despair, and this guy PR who I've known since elementary school tries to ask him what's wrong and cheer him up or something, but he proclaims that he may never play that sport again, and then walks out of the gym all dejected as class ends. On the way out I was trying to think of a way to explain his reaction to PR, but I couldn't really think of a good way to phrase it before I woke up.

#3 - I think it might have been inspired by Buffy? [DILD]

This was an odd driving dream, and I'm fairly certain I've had something like this happen before.... Basically, I was driving home in the snow at night, and I was stuck driving from the back seat where there was an accelerator but no breaks. As a result, I was forced to drive very slowly and frequently take my foot off the gas so that I wouldn't gain too much momentum. I have no idea why I didn't think to just climb up to the front seat, but I know that there was a car driving behind me too, so maybe I just didn't want to mess with the situation and cause any trouble. We came over this bridge in my neighborhood, and then when I turned on to my street it was suddenly daytime. Somehow I managed to go too far beyond my house though, and then this car started coming down the street in the other direction right for me, and I perceived someone else as being in the car with me at this point too, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone.... I started thinking "shit shit shit" because I couldn't stop the car or change the direction it was going in very easily, and then we ended up headbutting the other car. This is all unbelievably vivid... perhaps a mix of the supplements and the adrenaline boost? I started trying to rationalize this situation because I didn't want to have to actually be in a car crash again, and then I thought to myself "Wait, could this be a dream? This whole thing is pretty odd...." I climbed into the front seat and by then I had a feel for my state of mind and was sure of it, so I became lucid.

At this point I looked around at the street and the sky and just stared. This was one of those lucids that leaves you completely in awe from start to finish as you repeatedly tell yourself "There's no way a dream could be this real." As I looked over the neighborhood, there was no distribution of focus as in a regular dream, it was all fully rendered as a single image. It seemed exactly as if I was seeing it in waking life in every way, minus the snow. I ended up driving back down to where my house was (and I think it was using my first car which is long gone), and when I got there my house was pretty different. It was tall and thin, spanning multiple floors, whereas the real one has only one floor and is much more wide than tall. There were also large windows spanning most of the front face, and it had some kind of Greek-esque architectural design for what looked almost like a tomb on the ground floor, and it was covered in plant vines and everything. There was some large inscription at the top of this part, which was totally made out of stone, and I didn't get a good look at all of it but I do remember seeing the word "SOUL" in large print. Again, this was all extremely vivid. I wanted to go inside and check it out, as the front door was still right there where it should have been in the middle of that framework, but about that time I started feeling a headache again and
      woke up.

*sigh* That would've been cool to explore. That headache, too... not the real one, but this one in the lucid. It felt like the ones I get when I smoke too much or the last few times I tripped. I'm really starting to wonder if it's hippocampal in origin, and if the choline brought it out.... I guess this break from smoking will probably help in more ways than I thought, because it's going to be annoying if that headache keeps making an appearance in lucids. :/ Hopefully it was just a one-time thing though, and overall I still consider this dream very successful.
    11. Preliminary Trial

      by , 03-03-2013 at 09:18 PM
At approximately 12:45 PM I decided to ingest 30 mg of a Rauvolfia serpentina extract, reportedly standardized to contain 30% rauwolscine. I followed this up with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, potato chips, and two trefoil cookies. (Girl scout cookies! ) Shortly after I finished eating, I decided to go on a walk.

The walk was overall uneventful. My anxious mind payed attention to a few mild things that were likely placebo, such as slightly increased heart rate and stimulation. Once I moved beyond those thoughts they seemed to mostly disappear. One thing maybe worth noting is that I yawned a lot, which I guess is a good sign if I intend to take something before bed. I didn't like how it made me feel like my chest was a little tight though, but again, this disappeared when I stopped letting myself worry about it. It's only been about an hour and a half now and that symptom isn't noticeable, and I'm guessing it was just a gas bubble, since I get those a lot. So far the only thing that's really stood out to me is increased appreciation of food, since it's the one thing I didn't think about beforehand. The fruit on the counter and some more trefoils tasted better than they did before I dosed. I wonder if it's linked to rauwolscine's 5-HT2A antagonism? This is said to increase appetite, after all. Hmm....

Final decision? So far, it doesn't seem like it'd be too bad before bed. I was afraid of the potential stimulation, but if there even really was any then it wasn't any more significant than caffeine with tolerance. The only thought that really comes to mind is that this is probably best to avoid on days where you don't feel at your most physically fit, but I say that about stimulants in general. This may be worth experimenting with....

      -----

I guess I'll include this really quick, too. I smoked myself to sleep with a friend last night so my recall sucked, but I did get this one fragment down.

      Dream Fragment [Non-Lucid]

I remember being at the bottom of a mountain range and watching people climb up this big wall, and at the top there was a door just sitting there. Beyond that, I just remember that Gajeel (I think it was him...) from Fairy Tail was on the opponent team, but that's it.
    12. Games, games, and more games. Except for the one.

      #1 - He's really a nice guy, just trying to make a living.... [Non-Lucid]

At first I was at a family party in this dream, and I was playing a Legend of Zelda game with my cousin K. I remember seeing Link wearing some kind of crazy golden armor (maybe based on the one in Twilight Princess? I can't remember what it's called right now...), but then the TV screen started to envelope us and the game plot was actually happening to me instead of me controlling Link. K, the grim reaper, and I were at some kind of odd opening up to an ocean located under a building of some kind, there was no shore or anything like that. I believe there was some kind of ship visible off in the distance, and the grim reaper had given me a fishing pole and was trying to get me to use it to catch a test target he had placed in the water a bit further out from us. I almost got it but not quite, but then I decided to get up and go explore the area behind us instead, and when I didn't find much I logged off and my perspective zoomed back out to being at the party. This next part I have no idea about because I can't remember what it means, this is just what I wrote down in my notes when I woke up:

"Also, I misinterpreted some weird rules about reality thinking that any wrong move reverted you to a past state, but it turned out I was a little wrong about it and it wasn't quite so bad, but I can't remember exactly how...."

Your guess is as good as mine, but it sounds intense lol. After that,
      I woke up.

#2 - What if it is all a game? [Non-Lucid]

I was again playing as Link, this time specifically from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but the perspective was different than either in the previous dream. It was that effect where the TV screen takes up your entire field of vision... so you're really just moving the character with your mind and perceiving them as yourself, but you still see them from behind in third-person and perceive it like you're using a controller on some level. What's odd about this dream is that I started out in a Super Mario 64-like map, and I was even looking for stars to collect, but at one point I got stuck at the edge of a map and ended up clipping through the ground. And I fell down into a N64-eqsue rendered version of my house and backyard, and specifically into the corner of the swimming pool.

From this point on I also had a permanent walk-through-walls effect, along with a slightly increased and slightly unrealistic-looking walking speed. I walked around my house a bit and just had fun moving through walls and admiring how surreal this all was (because it was REALLY well done and very video gamey) and I saw a NPC incarnation of a younger version of my friend M walking to the backyard in a one-piece bathing suit. I walked around her for a bit, and then I went back to the pool. I walked into it and it was much deeper than normal, and there was this guy fish thing (don't ask me, it's in the notes lol) and a weird three-pointed Mario star that was made up to sort of resemble a fish, and then somehow this all became an American Dad! episode.

I believe it showed Avery Bullock, and he had payed for these freaky fish tattoos on his eyes and he was able to do this creepy stare with them and transform into a huge fish himself, the whole thing was very psychedelic. I remember this surprising at least Stan, Francine, and Steve. Then the whole thing just turned into a still third-person view of scrolling through bottom of a wiki page and seeing some Pokémon pictures, with the only one really standing out being some unidentifiable red thing and a Marill.

#1 - So who the hell was he, anyway? [Non-Lucid]

I was again at a family party, and I had barricaded myself in my room for some reason, though it wasn't my actual room. I had a ton of stuff shoved against the door to keep it closed, but then (probably based on watching too many comedy shows), my cousin P just opened the door easily, because it opened in the other direction, and pushed it all aside and walked in. Cue a "Well... shit." As P walked in, so did some guy who I'm not sure was a real person, because he's just as a blurry and impossible to remember the look of as any other random non-lucid DC is for me. But at the time, I was convinced that this was someone who I hadn't seen since we were kids, like he and my cousin were childhood friends or something and I just stopped seeing him when they stopped hanging out as much or something like that, and we were both doing the whole "wow, you've really grown up" thing. We seemed pretty friendly with each other, so I guess in the context of the dream we had been close in the past. The three of us just kept hanging out in my room, and at one point P became my friend M when I wasn't paying attention, I think not long after we all looked out the window and saw a lot of snow on the ground and in the streets (and we were in the second floor, which my house doesn't have).

The whole time the guy and I were getting pretty involved in our conversation and starting to get pretty touchy-feely. He was talking about how he'd gotten out of a relationship recently, and he was noticeably very horny. He kept getting really close and personal with me, hugging me from behind, leaning up against me, and etc. I was getting pretty worked up myself, and the tension was getting really thick. We weren't saying anything but it was really obvious, and I remember M seeming kind of annoyed about it and thinking that there was a reason, but I can't remember what it was now. After a while the party was starting to wind down and everyone was leaving and M pulled me aside to ask me not to do anything, but the guy overheard her and suddenly pulled out this video recording of him telling some kind of sob story. I think the video was saying something about how he used to be married, or at least something similar to that... and I remember it including the line "I wasn't always in high school.", but that's about it. M felt bad after that, and she was getting ready to leave. I was thinking that I had to go stay at my aunt's house overnight for some reason so I was going to say something, but then I just randomly realized that I actually wouldn't have to, so I forgot about it. When M left, everyone but the guy was gone, so we locked ourselves in my room and I could feel the tension increasing to a breaking point... and then
      I woke up.

      God damn it.

#2 - If only real matches were as intense as this! [Non-Lucid]

I was playing some kind of Super Smash Bros. kind of game with M and her boyfriend D. We played some normal rounds first, and then somehow I managed to pick Axel from Disgaea 2 as my character. I also managed to get us to play on some intense demon altar stage. I don't remember exactly who they were playing as (I want to say that M was playing as maybe Princess Zelda or Peach, and that maybe D was playing as a character on a horse?), but I think it might have changed over time, too. The sucky part about this dream is that it was actually really vivid and intense, but the action was so crazy and fast that I still barely remember any of it. I remember I was riding a horse at one point as well, and we had the capability to use some incredibly cheap tricks like hypnosis to win the battle. It was crazy! As the dream started falling apart, the scene became a third-person view of a cartoon show and Axel had become Popeye. He was saying something weird or trippy, but I can't remember what it was now, and then I woke up.
    13. Sometimes it's good to just wander around, you know?

No supplements this time, I decided to just go clean and see what happens. I did smoke a little during the day, but not much, and not too soon before going to bed.

#1 - How Did This Become About Aliens? [Non-Lucid]

I was at some house party with JE and JG, among other people who I can't quite recall now, and we were all lying around or sitting on this bed in the dark waiting to each get pizza from JG one at a time, or something really odd like that. When he was calling me to get mine I suddenly realized that I was naked and felt really embarrassed, but it was really dark so I quickly made a grab for my pants and cami which I saw on the ground not too far from me and slipped them on. I went over to JG and got my pizza, like in a personal pan-sized box, and then I decided to head out (and the pizza just kind of disappeared in the process). I was walking to the door and this big dog came up and tried to get outside, but I held it back and went out and just started pacing back and forth in front of the door for R to get there to pick me up. I started anxiously texting him, but then after a minute JG came out to tell me that R was already sitting in the car parked in the driveway, even though when I looked a second later I didn't see anyone there.

I went over and got in the car and, down on the street, this car pulls up and a group of mean looking thugs or something get out. We drive off recklessly, swerving and barely missing obstacles along the way, and eventually we accidentally hit some of the thugs. R (though I'm not sure it's actually him) drives us off quickly so we can get away before they come beat the shit out of us and we end up in some frozen and snowy lake, which was the first sign of this kind of weather in the dream. Suddenly I had a third-person view of the thugs trying to figure out who we are, and they were referring to us as aliens (and I had a mental image of me being a humanoid one, while R or whoever looked like Roger from American Dad!) when someone pointed out that there were just some aliens at JG's house, so they decided to go ask him about us. It flashes back to us now except that it's still in third-person and we've become Robin (Cobie Smulders) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) from How I Met Your Mother. I could guess who was supposed to be who but I can't really say for sure, I didn't feel a distinct connection to either since this was all very detached still. Robin was freaking out about the situation but Barney was saying don't you get it? Something had to have started all of this alien business, and it might have been there at that lake. However, before he could really go any further with that thought,
      I woke up.

#2 - Just An Ordinary Office [DILD]

Something led up to this part of the dream, but the first thing I really remember is when me, Butters from South Park, his dad, a psychiatrist, and a cat all walked into this nice little room that was visibly (through the windows) on the first floor of some building we were in. Butters had some kind of supposed emotional problems that needed discussing, and the psychiatrist started talking about how she had the perfect method to make him feel better. It sounded really deep and caring, until she started saying about how wonderful it would be to do... whatever it was (some form of relaxation or self-expression I think, but it's hard to recall now) "as a lesbian". As she was saying all this, I became lucid. Poor Butters was just starting to get really confused as always, and I start petting the cat who's still walking around the room and laughing my ass off at how ridiculous this is. I started thinking about someone I know in waking life who always has stories about how when something funny happens in one of her dreams she wakes up in a fit of laughter, so it made me a little cautious not to make myself wake up but thankfully that never happened. I started observing everything around me just to stabilize a bit, and I decided to go through this other door in the room (aside from the one we came through) that I perceived as leading to the closet, but I wanted it to lead somewhere else.

I opened the door and there was a hallway in it, and as I turned around and it left my sight while I was closing the door, I willed it to lead to some kind of work office. I'm not sure why I chose this exactly, I guess I just thought it would be more likely to happen since I could easily picture it in the kind of environment I was already in. It worked, and I suddenly felt that I was no longer on the first floor of the building. I walked down and this guy walked past me and smiled at me, so I just kind of smiled back while I was still busy stabilizing, but then I decided I should stop worrying about that and just be confident that the dream will hold itself together for at least a little bit. I turned back around and said hey to the guy and asked if I could see his shirt, just to see what it said. It was one of those things where there are two phrases that each have one word the same and in the image they're combined so that they each end up at that word (or sometimes start from that word, but not this time) and that particular word is only written once, you know? The two things it said were "PUSH IT" and "SHOVE IT", with the 'IT' being at the bottom. The whole thing was made out of craftily placed black and orange borders, and I'm not sure if it would have actually made sense in reality or if it just worked because I only focused on one section of the shirt at a time, but I did think it was pretty cool and I told him so. He got all happy and was like "Isn't it?" or something like that, and then walked off.

I kept walking through the office a bit and came across a few people, a couple guys sitting at desks and a girl just kind of standing around. I walked up to the girl and asked what's up, and she says something like they're just hanging around, and then she asks me if I want to dance. I say sure and we do a dorky little dance for a moment (you know when you like just raise your fists up to your shoulders and barely shake back and forth a bit? ), and then she asks me if I want a piece of paper. I'm like um, sure? And she reaches over and grabs one with something on it from a printer that was sitting next to us. I reached out to take it from her but she pulled it back and started telling me something, and I think it was about something I had to do to get the paper, but the dream started becoming flat and seeming distant, and then it faded away and
      I woke up.

I thought about trying to fall back asleep and go for more, but I kind of had to go to the bathroom when I woke up and I was already alert enough that I knew that afterward I would be too awake to really have a chance at it, so I just decided to fully get up then.

    14. Melatonin Experiment #2

      by , 02-25-2013 at 07:48 PM
So, I decided to do another ridiculous supplement test this time. I took 80 mg of melatonin at 9 PM, and I washed it down with thin mints, for good measure. The result was interesting. First of all, my first dream of the night was lucid. That's pretty odd, especially considering the melatonin... not that I really mind. For the rest of the night I noticed that nothing overly trippy happened, except that all of the dream scenes were very, very vivid and had mostly bizarre video game themes. I was also a bit delirious whenever I woke up, which caused me to lose one or two dreams from memory before being able to write them down, so I actually had quite a few dreams this night. And I could've had even more, but I had to wake up early again, so....

#1 - I've Yet To Make This One Work >:T [DILD]

I remember being at a school and walking down a hallway somehow having control over what was playing on the intercom, and I was using it to mess with someone by blasting loud music whenever they started talking. Eventually I got to the class I was walking to and became lucid. I wasn't incredibly aware though, because I kept texting my friend N throughout it, and I can't remember what we were talking about now. At first I just stabilized a bit, and then I kept trying to summon a joint or a pipe into someone's hands so we could smoke, but it never worked. Eventually I just sat down next to one of the guys there and started cuddling with him, but soon afterward I woke up.

And yes, let it be noted that 80 mg of melatonin was not enough to stop me from waking up several times throughout the night.

      #2 - Dream Fragment [Non-Lucid]

I think I was playing as a video game character, or maybe meeting one, who was super violent and was accused of attacking someone over one thousand times "outside of battle"...? Or something like that, and I believe there was a scythe involved too, but it's hard to remember exactly.... I almost lost this one, I just barely was able to grab ahold of the memory.

      #3 - Bobolo [Non-Lucid]

I was trying to help my cousin K with a school paper based on some kiddie game website called Bobolo that was specifically about some kind of disease or diseases, and I was slowly realizing that this topic wasn't really going to be usable to make a very good paper, but I didn't want to point that out to her because I felt bad that her paper was due the next day. What I remember of the website I could most quickly compare to Maple Story, but I wouldn't say it was exactly like that. There was also some set of medical record scans that I was able to unlock and look at at one point, but I wasn't able to make our what any of them said.

      #4 - I Would Definitely Play This Game [Non-Lucid]

I was with my cousin G, who was living at some kind of trailer house I'm unfamiliar with with his immediate family now. We were in his room and I was playing some video game with pretty strange maps. I'm fairly certain that the way I was walking around and the character I was using were based on Phantasy Star Online, but the maps had colored grid squares with area effects that were very clearly (I even remember thinking it at the time) based on geo panels from the Disgaea series. The way the character jumped also reminds me of a Mario game thinking back on it now, but not enough to say it was based on that. I was excited about something on it, but I can't remember what now, and then I logged off and talked to G about watching kids do something pointless (the conversation is pretty hazy in my memory), and then I left the house. I got in my car and started trying to figure out how to get home while blasting some really crazy dubstep song which actually sounded pretty badass, but just as I was starting to find my way the dream faded.

At this point I woke up and, after I got out of my mildly hypnotic state, my libido was running pretty strong. I rolled over and started basically molesting my body pillow for a minute, but I tried to do this passively so the energy would wear off and I could fall asleep again. Eventually I started drifting and had some light hypnagogia, I think of some text or something? I didn't make note of it, so it's hard to remember. And the same with not long after, I rolled over and had more hallucinations, I think it was some kind of ladder pattern running horizontal across my vision, or something... but then my mom came in and woke me up because I have stuff do. Ah, well. Not a bad night.

      #1 - The Red Night [Non-Lucid]

I was helping someone, I think it was my old friend S, play a video game where you run around at night looking for stuff and I told him he was near the end. I had him look up into the sky to see if a shimmering star was there and it was, so I told him to stare at it and he was transported to a map where there was a red moon and red and black clouds in the night sky (a possible 11eyes reference?), and he had to fight some enemy wielding either a scythe or some kind of sword, it's hard to remember exactly now....

I have been thinking way too much about scythes too, so this was probably inevitable lol. But can you blame me? They're so sexy.

      #2 - Just Like Old Times [Non-Lucid]

I was with my other old friends D and M, who were pretty much best friends until M had to move away in middle school, and I was playing some racing that game that I think I perceived like Mario Kart but was actually on foot. I was just trying to get through these really demented maps that resembled some sort of dark factory combined with the inside of some huge animal. (If you've ever played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, think the inside of the fish.) Beyond that, all I really remember of the game was that the goal was to save my friends, but I'm not sure who those friends were. I looked over from my bed at one point and saw that D and M had gotten tired and fell asleep on each other, and I thought they looked really cute and was happy they got to hang out again after so long. And that's the last thing I remember before I woke up.

I think I probably could've gone back to bed and had another dream, but we've got company coming over today so I had to get up and clean the house some. Oh well, next time.
