If i were to spend a whole deal of time looking at my hands and reality checking all day long. can that lead to me doing the reality check in my dream more than if i just do the reality checks a few little times during the day? |

It's not only about RCs. You are supposed to dream of RC. Basically, more=bigger chance, and also use intentions. I personally train my self-awareness, prospective memory, MILD, WILD and DEILD. RCs aren't so important. I only use them because of their basic purpose, to determine the current state. |

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

When I have done that, where I was constantly doing RCs throughout the day and not just a few times but maybe a hundred/day at the peak, it increased my # of lucid dreams by a lot. But there was also a side effect for me, and I'm not saying it's going to happen to you but it might. I started to constantly see reality as just another dream, because I was always wondering if it was a dream by doing the reality checks. What I think this is approaching is a persistent awareness as to whether you are in the dreaming or waking world. The habit of 100+ RCs a day just provides a constant reminder to be aware of whether or not I am dreaming. Not even gonna lie though, doing that many RCs got really exhausting both mentally and physically. I think there are better methods for maintaining awareness throughout the day and I really hope that someone else can share one because I know that I, personally, would be very interested in an alternative to RCs or just giving intent before bed/DILDs (which is what I currently do). |

My experience: I've experimented with doing RCs to the point of obsession. It worked the first day I had the idea, but it didn't work after that and an increase in effort had no effect. That's just my experience of it though. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
Usually the "first day effect" is heightened excitement associated with something new related to LDing. Some call this the "placebo" effect. |

It's not really the quantity, but the quality. |

I've been making a big mistake with RCs for some time. And it's to do them as a normal task. This ends up doing them the same way while dreaming, and the will probably succeed (meaning the reality check passes, this is, you are NOT dreaming). |

RC induction technique is not really effective way how to achieve lucidity... unless you would do it focused few times right before asleep and during wbtb right before asleep, try and tell the results |
