I vaguely remember watching that film, had to find the trailer because I didn't even remember it. I'm actually quite amazed there doesn't seem to be many movies like this, force of light fighting forces of dark. Like I can think of a few, but theres not really that many. I like these films mostly because they expand your mind in terms of things you could do in dream combat.

Yes you can. Except Scientology is not a religion. It's a business. And I'm broke. Hmm... Let's see if I can get people to send me money. Hey, anyone want to send me money? I'm God. I promise. I swear to... myself I am.

Ah... Okay. Read my old DJ under Archived DJ's, Nomad Chronicles, and search for: Zaphor, Frost Giant, Q, Sacrosanct, Q10, and Gawn. Read the conversations I had with those people.

Maybe I will post excerpts of those conversations here.

As far as the shared dreaming class, it's going well. It has become stretched out because I realized that people needed more time to progress. But, we have had some synchronicities, which is pretty cool.

I've had a shared dream and I am planning to have more. Maybe when the shared dreaming class opens again I will join... just saying.

So I just downloaded a copy of "Astral Dynamics" by Robert Bruce... It kinda westernizes alot of the astral plane/astral projection ideas, as opposed to the typical Eastern bull shit you have to read traditionally.... I'm starting to understand the the astral plane much more, although I've never been able to have an OBE myself (err, haven't recalled one ever... I'm positive I've accidentally been to the Astral plane while attempting to LD many times before and simply lost my "shadow memory" as Robert Bruce terms it). This adds some credibility to the things you are saying, although the existence of the gods and all that, and the "dream guide" and even shared dreaming can be explained by fluctuations of your consciousness effecting your perception of the dream plane/astral plane.

Anyways, as somebody who only recently gave any weight of credibility to the "astral plane" and being a big partier, drug user, typical college frat guy.... I can tell you that this read is pretty mind blowing to think about. I now fully believe in astral projection and the "chakras" in the body, kundalini... All that jazz...

So, nomad, I'd like to know... Have you ever read any similar books, or have you simply learned about all this on your own, in your own way? I'm sure you've read many books on the subject, so I'd like to know if you have any recommendations. Personally, I'm having trouble attaining a trance state or meditation... I don't really know if I'm manipulating the energy in my body or not. I try not to think about it too much, because I know that my body is already naturally doing alot of the things that people practice to attain an OBE...

But anyways, I digress. Back to the topic at hand: Wakingnomad, (nvm.. I was gonna read through your DJ, but had to edit this out.. It was way to RPG-esque for me haha). But in the mean time, I'd like to know how/how long it took you to get such control over your OBEs. I only recently started trying to learn, so I'm not surprised I've had little success (I literally can't get into a trance state for the life of me!). Also, do you normally just go to sleep and try to LD, or do you meditate ever and go for OBEs?

      Thanks!

      Justin

P.S. -- Although I in no way believe in all of your ideas or support your fantastical view of the "dreamplane", I still do find it all very interesting and good to read. I just hope you're being honest with your experiences and not exaggerating them in any way. I like to see how other people dream!

yeah man chakra's and kundalini are definitely real! I didn't really believe in it at first until I tried it myself - if you meditate on them you can definitely feel them, and the more you focus on them the stronger the energy sensation gets. Especially if you listen to MP3's designed for opening the chakras or raising kundalini, they produce the right sound frequency that resonates with each chakra so this combined with you focusing on them lets you really sense that they are in fact there!

I think its also quite easy for a lot of people to open their third eye - not in terms of psychic perception but in terms of feeling pressure or energy in that spot. Bruce also explains in Astral Dynamics how to activate this spot - saying its like using the muscles in your eyebrows without using them. If you make an angry expression with your eyebrows then try to reproduce this sensation without moving your eyebrows - or something like that, been a while since i read it.

I believe there are chakras that exist outside of the body too, like one beneath your feet and one above your crown chakra, possibly many others too. Its interesting stuff to play around with anyway, and you can get some profound meditation experiences with it.

Yah haha, I just started playing around with meditation and I've been getting some really odd sensations. I'm really good at the mental relaxation (clearing my mind?), but I still can't relax my muscles properly I don't think haha. Anyways, what I'm gonna try now is to simply lay in bed and forget about the fact that I'm in a body. Just focus all my attention on my grain and my thoughts. Try to live inside my head briefly. I've done this in the past without knowing anything about OBEs, just while trying to WBTB to lucid, and had some cool experiences so I think trying it out now that I know more may produce an OBE. I'm pretty much giving up on the whole energy within the body thing and trying to manipulate it. I'm just gonna lie in bed, and be extremely patient and focus my mental attention on something enough to forget about my body. No pressure

Nomad I want you to find me in a dream! Not sure how ,but just do it man! If anyone ever walks up to me in one of my dreams and says "I'm Wakingnomad from DV" I will believe in shared dreaming! Hehe

yeah thats what i love about meditation, theres so many ways to meditate and I quite often just make my own up and do whatever I feel in the mood for. I might decide I just want to relax as much as humanly possible and go as deep as possible, or I might choose to try and build energy up, I might try to focus on connecting with god or my higher self, I might choose to focus on a particular chakra, or on my aura, my astral body, etc, etc. Theres so many things you can do. I also really love to listen to MP3's that are designed to get you into deep states. I've developed a massive collection now that is probably the most valuable thing on my computer, and I do the same with these MP3's just listen to what I feel in the mood for.

      Where to start....

Yikes...I've stumbled across the firey ant hill of hell and don't know where to start...Oh wait I know. I'll start with the insanity first, or should I save the best for last?

Ok, Nomad is crazy, case and point.
Every person seeking lucid dreaming is absolutely fucking bonkers...to an Amish person . And if you want to remember your dreams, then your a fucking weirdo to my immediate family. HELLO FUCKING INSANE WEIRDOS. How are you? Btw, i love all of you for what your doing, and keep it up. Ok, now Nomad may be criminally insane to my parents, but w/e, so may a lot of you. To a rock we're all cracked eggs anyways.

If you try to bring a strongly logical, and rigid constructed reality to this discussion...well, your just inviting major cognitive dissonance...and since most aren't that good at mental balancing, they are prolly gonna react very strongly, in a negative fashion, to do their best to preserve their perceptual reality.

seriously what the fucking fucking fuck?!?!?! Not only is the first post fucking bullshit but the fact that the dv community actually takes it seriously, what the fucking fuck???
Yep that catches what I'm talking about nicely. In any case, whether or not its bullshit...still your personal opinion...and considering you haven't had many lucids...who's credible?

Ok with that blah blah blah aside, lets get to the nitty and gritty. There are forces that seek to keep you enslaved, how those operate, how you perceive them, totally up to you. As long as you have a concrete perception, you can then deal with it. If you don't have any perception of it, then guess what, these forces will push and pull you around like a rag doll. Which is okay with me, your choice to ignore them. So waking up in the dream world isn't so much as an escapist tactic, but rather one born out of survival. I love reality...too much. It's really hard for me to fall asleep at night, cause I want to be IWL lol. Even though I can throw fireballs, and do alll sorts of crazy shit in dreams, I'm familiar with reality, and I'm learning a great deal. And come on, their isn't that much in the world that beats taking a nice, hot piss when you've been holding it for a while...ahhhh. Man, thats great. Lucidity is cool, but drink a lot of water, and then take a piss outside sometime, and be really aware of it, and don't rush it, feels great guys...really great.

But if you want my take on it...Shared Dreaming is real, lucid dreaming is real, dreaming is based off of analogous forces in creation, psychadelic trance is like caffeine, Yeah theres extraterrestrials, some good, some bad, good ones like complex non-interference policy with development of intelligent cultures, theres demons, angels, all of that good stuff too, centralized/corporatized science is BS, cheese tastes good, water is good for you, too much alcohol not so great( I don't drink at all though anymore), cannabis can reduce tumor size(I don't have any tumors so I don't need it, and so I don't smoke), people have too much distress in their lives, and theres much more shit out there that I know to be true...for me, and for me alone. Others may concur, but it is true for them, and them alone. Objective truth relies on subjective observations- thus you need a personal bias in order to achieve it. Thus, objective truth is a collective bias on a particular issue.

Your version of reality is true to you, and you alone. Another is true to them( unless they have major cognitive dissonance, then it may be false to them, and them alone, but if they externalize this, then they may call everyone elses false as well...hmmm, so if there is none, then perhaps they declare everyone's perceptions as true!....wait a second, thats what Nomad was saying....).

So more blah blah blah. Excuse me, I have to go crap out some demons that I ate earlier...Am back. mmm demon stew. Tastes great homemade Grandma style when you beat em with a pitch fork.

Anyways, I'm just showing you all that I can be crazy too, on demand, whenever I want to be, and I can be sane, on demand, whenever I want to be. Learn to control yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, and recognize whenever something...else is controlling them. This could be as simple as a suggestion from the TV, or something much more sinister. Have fun.
All of experience is fun for me, whether in a dream, or in reality, because I love existing, learning, and continuously evolving and sustaining. Then again, who knows, I may not enjoy existing so much if I caught a face full of buckshot from an angry farmer. But hey, at least I'd got out with a bang.

      This is the life. Ahhhhhh...

      Off topic...
Actually, two beers a day is healthier than water. Kills all the bacteria in your digestive system and shit. Can't drink it though cuz I'm underage.

      Ok.... back on topic.

Eonn gave me an idea to add further information here about the Dream Plane and nature of dreams. This is all taken from my DJ. If you doubt any of this, please go into dreams and ask your dream guide any questions you may have regarding these ideas, or do experiments in dreams trying to refute or prove my claims. For example, ask the Dream Warrior Master to appear so you may battle him.

      ***

      excerpt:

I was in a funny little village village like one from an RPG. The streets were narrow cobblestone. The pink ball stopped in front of a store and pointed at it. The sign on the door was a needle and thread.

A man opened the door that looked like me. He was shirtless and barefoot, wearing only jeans. "Come in, come in, you two." Selene and I walked in. "Glad you could finally make it."

The inside of the house looked like one I had lived in in Massachusetts.

The man had red spikes coming out of his body and head.

He told me he had a pair of cute pet dream budgies and they were incubating a clutch of dream budgie eggs. He told me the dream budgies were going to be the most amazing dream birds once they hatched.

I was impressed by how much the man knew about the nature of dreaming. He talked to me at length about the nature of dreams.

"So, this place we are in right now, is this another dimension?"

"Of course. I am real, she (Selene) is real, you are real. We are all real."

"So, the dreams that Raven and I have are real, then?"

"Of course they are real. You live your waking life based on your thoughts, and focus, correct? You focus on things, that makes them more real to you. You decide where you want to go. Those are thoughts. All the big changes in your waking life begin and end with your thoughts or the thoughts of others. Shared dreaming is no different from shared living. Your reality interacts with others' reality all based on each others' thoughts. Even harm to others begins as ill will in the mind, does it not? Of course. Your problem is you think this is illusion, and waking life is reality. What you don't understand is all is illusion, and all is reality. Monsters that terrorize you in nightmares, will cause fear in waking life, therefore their power is bleeding over into what you call reality.

The lines between dimensions are not so clearly drawn. Do you follow? Already, you are smudging the border, and you continue to smudge the borders even further.

Meeting myself from another dimension FULL DREAM

      Comments:

Later I learned this person was my Higher Self. The reason he has a needle and thread sign on his door is because he is a Dreamweaver. I got the idea of following a scout from Carlos Castaneda's book: The Art of Dreaming.

I called this man Otherme because he has the same name as me. He gave me some budgie eggs which later hatched and became a great weapon: The impossibly huge translucent blue Budgie Sword made of parakeets.

In a subsequent dream I merged with Otherme.

They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.

Hmmm, i am also working on dream sharing, i had no luck in that either. I have had dreams about dream sharing but they were no where near close to a shared dream. Is shared dreaming easier with a DG?

Assuming that this is possible, are other people able to get inside of your dreams without you knowing? Because I would rather not have other people wandering around in my mind. Also, scientifically speaking, how does shared dreaming work?

scientifically speaking, shared dreaming doesn't work
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

ok so at first i though "this guy is COMPLETELY nuts"... then from what i've read.. i've had very very similar experiences on the dream plane. i've seen the wormholes. been attacked by demons.. there is some TRUTH here. its scary, its weird conspiracy stuff.. but some of the points he's made are directly the same as my experience. i didn't read all 12 pages of this thread.. but just wanted to say... i'm ready.. i'm ready to begin training harder at my ability to dream. i think we CAN share dreams.

Sorry to hear that. Kind of off-topic. Anyway, swallowing is natural. I don't know exactly what you mean. Why don't you make a thread about it in Attaining Lucidity?

You assume dreams are all in your mind. Anyway, read the FAQ in my signature.

I am completely nuts. Don't believe anyone who says otherwise.

That should be in your sig. Some big picture that says it.

Anyway, I actually attempted to go to the Dream Warrior Planet via portal. The first time I had to fight somebody to get to the portal, but I woke up afterward. The second time I made a portal without interference, but it blew up. I don't know what happened afterward.

I did see a glimpse of a planet when I was focusing on the planet's energy, though. It was as though I was looking at it through an orange-red film.
