review: two dreams merged into one, non lucid, symbolic nightmare

      First Dream
I don't remember this dream anymore. I only remembered the last scene, which was me and mom standing on a rooftop waiting to be saved from an evil woman. That theme will play a part in the next dream.

      Polar Bears
I was in the backyard when suddenly a polar bear walks by one of the bushes. He didn't notice me. I don't know what came over me but I instantly tried to scare him away. I shouted real loud and flailed my arms "GO AWAY! GO AWAY!"

At first the bear was startled and jumps back. But then his fear vanishes and he looks at me with cold, hungry eyes.

I race back inside and slam the glass porch door. The bear paces back and forth in the backyard. I thought I was safe! I call out to my sister who was on the couch "A real polar bear! A real polar bear is outside! You have to see this!"

But to my horror I realize there are more polar bears, and they're inside. A whole family was nesting underneath the couch. I shout "They're inside! Underneath you!"

Sis is terrified and too scared to make a move. She quickly reminds me not to yell. If I wake them up, were dead. "One bite" she reminds me.

There's more! Now there's a large one sleeping in the hallway between me and mom. I seriously considered we would die today. I tip-toed into the kitchen and grabbed the largest knife.

The polar bears are slowly waking up. They gaze at me and my family with those icy cold eyes.We grab each others hands and quickly run out the front door.

It seems the whole neighborhood was outside running away from polar bears! Everyone was outside of their homes. But I realize it can't be polar bears, they must be scared of something else. A disease outbreak?

I see a woman approaching me, she greets me as though she's my mom. But that makes no sense, because my real mother is right here. Suddenly someone shouts "GET BACK! DON'T TOUCH HER!"

She's not my mom! She's the evil one, a plague, from the previous dream! She lounges towards me, and I wake up.
    2. Rotting Flooded Waters

by , 12-14-2010 at 06:47 AM (A World In My Head!!)
      December 2010

Synopsis: I should be unlazy and actually use my dream journal! A surreal dream involving a flood with rotten water. Later, I find hippies.

      Rotting Flooded Waters
I'm in my backyard. In real life I don't have one anymore, so this is the backyard of my childhood. There is a little pond next to a small tree, filled with healthy fish.

It rains and the pond swells and covers the entire backyard, like a swamp. But all the fish are dead, and now the water is filled with rotting things. I stand on top of something to get away from the diseased water.

Usually the rain water is absorbed by the soil. Thinking back to my horticulture class I say "Theres something wrong with the soil! Its got no drainage." At first I thought it was only my backyard that was flooded. But I took a quick peek over the fence and I could see the entire suburban neighborhood was under water!

This is bad. One house with rotten water is one thing, but an entire neighborhood? I thought of katrina, and deadly diseases. Well, I guess we gotta leave!

My family gather outside on the street and discuss where we should go. Lucky us, we live next to a hill that was spared the flood. We can see little houses up there. We pack our things, which was neatly waiting for us outside our home. A random monkey character helps us carry our things.

When we get to the top of the hill all the houses are super small. And they were all connected to each other. We walk through the common hallway between them. Each little house was more like a tent filled with random items. I guessed that hippies must live here!

My family starts to go shopping. Even though these weren't shops, it seems the tent people like a good bargain. Later on, old friends invite me to a turkey dinner, and I wonder if the turkey has synthetic hormones.

      Then I wake up!

    3. Surrender to the Storm

by , 10-14-2010 at 03:54 AM (A World In My Head!!)
      October 13, 2010

Synopsis: A very symbolic dream of a storm destroying my home. Futile. Surrender.

      Surrender to the Storm

A hurricane ravages my home town. Already, all the homes around are deep under water. My home, made of cardboard, has been spared from the flood from the little hill its sitting on. I run home, passing by bursting gullies. I think, "I still have time to save my belongings!". But when I got home, my little cardboard home was flopped over and all soggy.

There was nothing left inside because the winds blew it away. The water is still rising and now I'm in threat of drowning. I leave my home and escape out of the city, treading waist deep.

My dream fades away, and now I'm in a city. I guess this is my new home now. My family went to some lame movie I didn't want to go see. And my friends went to a death metal rock concert, which wasn't my thing. So I just went for a stroll in the city by myself. Not that it was lonely, it was like the crowded streets of New York.

Suddenly a burst of lightning erupts and a group of innocent people vaporize! I look up to see one nasty storm over head! If ever a storm could be pissed, well, this is one pissed off looking storm.

The clouds condense over the tallest building, engulfing the highest floors of the building. There are thousands of people now watching the spectacle. Im worried now because this is the building my friends concert is in! I try to get closer, pushing through the crowd.

All the windows from the building have been bursted, as if the weight of the dark clouds are crushing the building! Scared now, I scream my friends name! But then I logically decide that the building was evacuated and my friends are safe some where in this massive crowd.

Nearby I see another building making a mass exodus. Its where my family were watching a movie. I find them, but their confused why they were kicked out. They have no idea how nasty this storm is, vaporizing people with its lightning strikes.

The dream fades away into a new one. I'm in an apartment complex, I guess this must be my new home. Me and my sister change our shoes, and go for a walk in the light drizzling rain. Which felt nice when you aren't so worried about getting wet.

For a brief moment I became lucid, but went along with the dream. I was just happy to see that the apartment I'm living in this dream was a new one. Even if the old folks were still around, any change felt good. After having a weird bathroom-dream moment, I woke up.

Edit: After reviewing my night time notes, there was something I forgot. At some point I'm told that this dream is about the Story of One

    4. Trouble in Suburbia!

by , 07-27-2010 at 04:37 AM (A World In My Head!!)
      July 26, 2010

Synopsis: Akira characters, role-playing, a scary-house, vampires! And a terrible scheme to make money.

      Trouble in Suburbia!
I watch Tetsuo and Yama sneak around an average american suburbia, trying to find Kaneda. After a while I enter Tetsuo's body to steal his powers, but I'm still very much female

Later on, the whole family has hunkered down into one bedroom to sleep. Not sure why. It was very dark and surreal looking. I couldn't sleep, but that was okay because I kept telling myself I have these awesome powers so I don't need to sleep.

I can see the dark hallway from the bunk bed, but not the front door it leads too. A loud banging startles me, and I sink down into my bed. "What was that?" I know I know, I'm such a chicken! Powers..pfffft

Dad pokes his head into the bedroom nearly giving me a heart attack. Why did he have to knock on the front door so hard at 4am when he had the key the entire time! My parents have magically transformed into other people I just take as my parents.

Mom and dad wake every one up, rise and shine, it's time! Time for what? Dad lays out his brilliant plan. Some sort of money scheme I'm not falling for. "All we have to do is put down one million, and we can make thousands!"

It didn't make a whole lot sense then, and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense now

"Wait!" I interrupt them "There's a psychic vampire spying on your plans! He's outside right now, I can sense him!"

I can see with my dream vision a pale sickly looking emo standing gloomily outside our home as the sun rises. (a twilight vampire? ewww!)

      "He's a vampire!"

My parents quickly fold up their plans and head for breakfast instead. I fly outside. Mortals and their money schemes were soooo boring. Maybe this vampire will be more exciting company. I fly tauntingly over him.

"Why don't you come up here and fly with me?"

      "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you're a vampire, and vampires can fly."

He looks up at me annoyed, black rings around his pale eyes. "I'm not a vampire. And I can't fly!"

What ever, I think he's lying! I just start to fly around. And the 'vampire' just follows me around, I guess he was lonely. I woke up shortly after.

    5. The Sun and Moon

by , 06-19-2010 at 04:00 PM (A World In My Head!!)
      April 15, 2010

Synopsis: Lucid, I still ccan't open a portal! Why? Later I run into a strange DC who knows this is a dream.

      The Sun and Moon
I became lucid! I don't even remember my dream before becoming lucid. I think I was running around in a giant mall playing superheroes with some kids, but I'm not sure. All I really remember is, I walk outside and I start to float by a tree. Wait a minute, I'm floating? I'm dreaming!

It's been a while since I've been lucid. I don't want to rush this, but I think I did anyways. I rub my hands together to stabilize the dream. I've never done this before as a stabilization technique. It feels pretty real! I can feel my fleshy hands and the curvature of my palms. But nothing happens. The dream doesn't change. So I command the dream to stabilize. But nothing happens again.

I'm standing on the tree branch looking at the suburban scene below me. Well it's not unstable looking. But I wasn't satisfied. I wanted my dream to be hyper realistic. It still feels,
dreamy. Maybe I made the wrong verbal commands, maybe I should have said "Increase Clarity" instead.

I want to open a portal! But I want to find the best dream spot to open a portal. So I start to walk around, two kids from the mall follow me. I think they still want to play. They're cute but really annoying. I had to get rid of them some how! So I tell them "Did you know that this is a dream?" "Huuh?" "This is a dream!" "This is a dream?" They look at me shocked, as if I just told them the world was ending. But then they smile and laugh and run away. That was easy!

I find the perfect spot to create a portal. I was underneath the sun and moon. The sun and the moon were next to each other, both shining bright. I don't even think that's possible in waking life, but it was beautiful sight anyways. I stand underneath the sunlight and try to open a portal.

      Nothing happens.

I walk away a little confused. So I start to explore my dream some more while thinking of a better way to create a portal. I was walking along a glass building, reflecting everything behind me. That's when I notice an older blonde woman is following me (late 30s? 40ish? hard to tell, it doesn't look like she's slept in days). How annoying! Dream characters are so persistent sometimes. I know! I walk right through the glass building. I look through the glass smiling thinking "Now she can't see me! She doesn't even know I'm looking right at her." Some other nearby dream characters look confused, as if they just witnessed a person magically disappear.

I waited for her to walk away just as confused, but instead she steps right through the glass. Her gaze was icy steel. How do I explain it? It's a kind of look that only women give to other women. I feel like she's challenging me.

I'm just annoyed that a dream character is mimicking my dream abilities! (how dare she
      )

She is standing very close to me. Invading my space actually, she's practically standing over me. I just want her to go away so I can get on with my dream. So I tell her "This is a dream!" And she responds "I know." I don't like her expression. It's angry and mean. But she doesn't try to hurt me, or touch me, even though she's so close. I felt like. . she was trying to manipulate me to be angry at her, to try to hurt her, start the cat-fight!

But then I remind myself that this is a dream, I need to watch my thoughts and emotions carefully. I try to envision her as lovelier, friendlier, nicer. She eases up and smiles. But I can't say for certain it's the nicest smile in the world! I woke up after that. How short and sweet lucidity is.

I VILD and attempt to re-enter the same dream. I'm lucid, but the dream is really unstable. I think I try to open the portal again. But I don't remember, everything just went to fuzz.

(and why is there a fly literally flying around my head? Am I the sun?
      )
    6. Dream Wheel Day 2 - Foreign Territory

by , 06-18-2010 at 04:43 PM (A World In My Head!!)
      February 2, 2010

Synopsis: Dream Wheel dream. Exploring different 'territories'. Pool bringing lucidity. Epic storms! Strange green symbols of doom!

      Foreign Territory
I was exploring different 'territories'. It was sort of like a touristy field trip for me to visit these different territories.

Now some tourists were using a map to guide them. I wasn't! I just ran around the place with no direction! The first territory that I explored was a giant suburbia. According to the tourist guide, it's the backyards that are a real point of interest. So I invaded every back yard I could. Well at least in this territory, it's perfectly legal to do so! From suburbia I can see two other territories, one is a forest and the other is a giant building. I enter the giant building. It's mostly just architecture. There isn't much in the building except for a tiny pool hiding in the corner.

I take a dip in the pool and swim around for a bit. The tourist family watches me in envy, they were obese and were too self conscious to take a dip.

Coming out of the pool I become lucid
. I quickly fly out of the large windows of the building. Two massive storm systems in territories far and away catch my attention. One was just an overgrown rain cloud that covered the entire horizon. The other was a tornado system, with twisters going towards the sky instead of towards the ground.

There was also a rollercoaster, and being lucid I achieve an old goal of riding a rollercoaster in a dream.

I forgot about the dream wheel, and decided to visit the two other territories safely above their storms. But that's when my dream characters pointed my attention towards the ground. On the ground were three green glowing symbols. In my minds eye, it spontaneously meant two things. One was 'summoning'. That these glowing symbols had the power to summon/bring...something here. And/or at least a targeting system for something to land here! I didn't know what that something was! Which made the experience frightening, almost alien!

But I did feel there weren't enough green symbols yet.
(note: the dream wheel has five points for it's five members!)

Having completely forgotten the wheel, I imagined the next best thing. That these symbols meant the wrath (the storms) of God were coming here!!..........Well this was when I lost my lucidity completely. This whole place is going to blow! It's the end of the world!!

I told the rest of the dream character to run for it, the wrath of the storms were coming!! Panic ensues! We were too afraid to run in the streets, we imagined that this some how would leave us wide open to lightning strikes. Instead, we climbed from one backyard to the next, slowly making our way to the next safest territory. It was actually physically exhausting for me to climb those fences, and the ground had already turned to mud. The kind that just sucks up your feet. I imagined if worse comes worse, I could just transform into a cat and hide in a hole until the storm passes!! I woke up shortly after.
