    1. Pokémon Tracking, Rolling At The Theater

      by , 04-14-2012 at 09:54 PM
      #1 - Pokémon Tracking [Non-Lucid]

I was in a bay area of some unknown location and I was testing the migration patterns of various Pokémon. There was also a small Phantasy Star Online-like mini-map displayed in my vision like it is normally on the screen. I was using the orange dots that display different creatures in the area to watch the Pokémon moving around and I was trying to capture a Pelipper. My parents and my aunt were also there just in the background talking about something, and I remember thinking that I was trying drugs that had various receptor affinities in combination, with one being 5-HT2A/D2 agonist and the other being a CB1/D2 agonist.

      #2 - Rolling At The Theater [Non-Lucid]

I went to a movie with my family and D. D and I abandoned my family and found our own seats. I could tell he was really fucked up, so first I asked if he was drunk and he said no, so I asked him if he was rolling next (on ecstasy). He had a huge grin plastered on his face and shook his head yes. I asked him if he bought the tabs there at the theater and he just looked around and pulled out a HUGE pill, like 500+ mg at least. My jaw dropped, and then I took it with some water but it never kicked in before I woke up. It also made me notice my mouth was full of strange gummy candies that were sticking to my teeth for some reason.... I think the movie we were watching had something to do with Hogwarts (though it looked much more normal, like a campus but still fancy) and taking some special "Blu Ray" transportation line to get there. But that's about all I can remember.
    2. Something New

      by , 04-13-2012 at 09:45 PM
This was first dream I can actually remember that I've had in days, likely due to all the weed brownies. The day leading up to this dream I ate a brownie and a half (I think?) and smoked some in the morning, but then in the evening was only drinking. That's probably why this dream was... the way it is.

      Something New [Non-Lucid]

I was watching something, I have a vague feeling of it being South Park. There was also some talk about The Beatles going on, but just in the background somewhere. Whatever I was watching, it grew and took over my entire perspective, and I shifted into third-person. I was panning my view left over a wall, and everything started taking on deep hues of neon red with twists of golds and purples and some other colors to a lesser extent, and the world started flattening and becoming somewhat cartoonish in an ancient hieroglyphics type of way. Patterns were being drawn and morphing around on the wall, and eventually the wall opened up to reveal an enormous panoramic view of some house from the point of view of what appeared to be one of the living room corners. This created a very bizarre feel to the whole scene, it was simultaneously flat and curved. The panning stops when there's a door to another room directly in front of me. A woman walks through the door and the scenery around her starts rapidly shifting and morphing into various patterns in a sort of rapid-fire flow, and her appearance is frequently changing as well, and she occasionally phases through other objects in her surrounding. The background has taken on sort of a salvia-esque spin and the woman seems to be made of some strangely stacked cardboard-cut-out-like building blocks.... It's really hard to describe, but I saw people that looked to be made out of the same material a long time ago when I mixed diphenhydramine with psilocybin mushrooms. The whole environment is becoming incredibly unstable, and suddenly the scene ends.

False Awakening - I'm driving down the service road of a highway in one of my old cars, and I just look around and for a moment think that that bizarre scene was something I was just thinking about, but then I remember how vividly I experienced it and it occurs to me that I must have been dreaming and now I'm awake. I tried typing up the dream, but then became concerned about the fact that I was apparently sleeping while driving.

False Awakening - I wake up again, still in the car. Now I'm getting really concerned that I'm actually driving while asleep but I can't force myself to wake up. I still take time to try to type up my dream in my phone, but the time is really messing with me. It looks really wonky at first and then keeps changing around randomly. Of course, it doesn't tip me off to anything.

False Awakening - This time I woke up in M's apartment, where I actually did spend the night after we finished drinking. Her big dog gets up and climbs on top of me in a really uncomfortable way and won't get off. I'm again trying to reach my phone to log the dream, but am unsuccessful.

False Awakening - Once again, I woke up in M's apartment. She's already awake and tells me that she's late for work, she has to go "feed the whale". I get up too and tell her I need to go soon, so I probably won't be there when she gets back. After that, I woke up for real, and almost completely forgot the actual dream.

Dream Fragment - This one I don't remember much of, but there was a big texting conversation going on between me, Linkzelda, M, M's boyfriend, N, M's previous boyfriend, and C. (Maybe some other people, too?) It's hard to remember now, but I'm pretty sure I saw part of this dream through my own perspective, part through M's perspective, and part in third-person. The only visual I can really remember now was that M's previous boyfriend was at his house wearing one of those cone-shaped birthday hats and there were balloons tied to a chair behind him.
    3. Holding Down The Fort, Aesthetic Lucid And Link Contact

      by , 04-08-2012 at 07:39 PM
#1 - Holding Down The Fort [DILD]

I only really remember the part of this dream where I was lucid. I vaguely recall flying around mountain ranges at some park... or something.... And then, I was in a school with a bunch of people and we were doing some kind of intense LARP battle. I run to some small, sealed, closet-sized room but with window and lock myself inside. People would run up to the door trying to open it, then I was suddenly lash out phasing through the door, grab their arms or legs, and snap them with super strength.

#2 - Aesthetic Lucid And Link Contact [DILD]

I remember something about my dad intending to buy me a new home, and I was walking around some neighborhood with this guy S I knew in middle and high school, though didn't get to talk to all that much. I think he was here because O mentioned that he was going to see him for the first time in years the last time I hung out with him. We walked up to some gigantic building, and I wanted to see into it. It had kind of a cool stylistic architecture that's hard to describe, but we also saw a few other buildings being built that way, including a McDonald's. I became lucid and flew up to the top to look inside, and there's no ceiling - the top is huge and totally open. I went down and grabbed on to a ledge and just let my feet dangle inside the building while feeling the wind blow past me. I spend most of the time here just enjoying the scenery, there were massive open fields and mountain ranges all around me that I could see faaaar into the distance of due to the altitude I was at. It was really cool.

False Awakening - I wrote down the dream, which almost totally screwed me over because when I woke up for real I remembered being lucid but not what happened, luckily it finally came back. I got up and went to play some Digimon game that I remember very little of now, but I do remember that it was long and intense. I finally beat it in the end and then got up and started browsing the internet on my computer. I was at a site that listed game data for all the different Pokémon. I was looking up Exeggutor's moves, and then suddenly the text on the screen scrolled to the right and new text was appearing in its place. It was some kind of chat log. The first few lines were this:

      Aly!
      Aly!
      This is Link!

:O I think I saw the word "incredible" in there somewhere too, but I can't really remember the rest. After I started comprehending what it meant, I woke up. :T
    4. Very Strange Episode

      by , 04-07-2012 at 04:56 PM
      Very Strange Episode [Non-Lucid]

Most of this dream was a third-person perspective view of Lily from How I Met Your Mother. She was in a place that seemed to shift back and forth between work and high school, and she was tripping on something, which at the time I assumed to be psilocybin mushrooms. She's happy and somewhat delirious for most of the day, but then afterward when everyone but her and a random guy and girl have left she's starting to become concerned that she's dying because she hasn't started coming down yet. Oh, also, contrary to her normal hair color, she has dark brown hair with semi-dark blonde streaks running down it. So, she starts having an emotional breakdown and the random girl walks over to her and pulls out a comb to give her so she has something to focus on doing with her hands and can calm down. She starts frantically combing her hair down in front of her face over and over again, and then I shift into first-person perspective in her body and continue doing it for the rest of the dream. There was more conversation going on between the guy and girl, but I can't remember what it was now since from that point on I was really focused on combing my hair.

    5. Fun With Mirrors

      by , 04-06-2012 at 08:32 PM
Dream Fragment - "Porn of whatever guy wanted to watch porn of me??"

      Fun With Mirrors [DILD]

I'm swimming at a really old friend C's house but constantly being interrupted by his family for stuff, though I don't remember exactly what now. His family was apparently unending because I kept meeting new people every time I was interrupted. I was really high and drunk apparently and just exhausted, and I was getting some weird effect where it sounded like my ears were surrounded by bubbles and all sounds were very distant and distorted. I decided to go home. Some kid stopped me on the way out and was asking me for something but I couldn't tell what he was saying, but finally I realized he was asking for the jellybeans I just happened to be holding. I gave them to him, then picked up a box of nachos Lunchables out of the trash thinking that this is what I'd been looking for the whole time, but was saddened to discover that all the food had already been half-eaten. :C As I head out the front door of the house my hearing is returning, and I notice that my car is gone. I'm really confused and distressed, and some little girls run out of the house to me complaining about something that Cleveland (from Family Guy and then The Cleveland Show) did, and I tried to figure out what they were talking about but couldn't, but then I suddenly became lucid. I walked back inside the house and there was a cop walking around, and he said something to me but I can't remember what now. I saw my mom sitting on a stool in the kitchen, and next to her was a mirror. I walked up to it and looked in it and it was amazingly accurate. Mirrors are usually really wrong for me in dreams. I decided to conjure up another mirror by turning around and just expecting it to be on the kitchen counter. I picked it up and as I looked up there was a third, even bigger mirror so I walked up and faced the mirror I was holding to it to create that effect were you can see the mirrors endlessly repeating. It looked like it worked but it also made the dream turn really fuzzy really fast, so I stopped and looked away. I turned around and it was too quiet, so I yelled "Say something!" My mom looked at me and said "Cool!" with this over-exaggerated smile on her face. I smirked and walked off calling for this girl L I knew in high school to appear, and it took a while and a bunch of incorrect DCs but she finally did. I'm not sure why I thought of her. She started talking to me, but the dream got really unstable and faded.

False Awakening - I wake up in bed and I'm facing the wall that would be to my left if I was facing up. Without changing position, I reached out and grabbed my phone and started typing up my dream, and then I felt someone else moving in bed and I could tell it was a guy. I had a sense that it was N, who had spent the night here but was sleeping on big bed-like pillow in the living room. I got really paranoid, and then I felt a hand get placed on my left shoulder by someone who I could tell was another separate entity, and I perceived them as my dad. He said to me "You really should try using the stairwell.", and I was so confused and a bit frightened, but then I woke up for real.
    6. My New Bathing Suit, Fading Phone, Lucidly Non-Lucid Bad Trip

      by , 04-04-2012 at 12:29 AM
This was from my first night in Las Vegas, I fell asleep after finishing a bottle of champagne.

      #1 - My New Bathing Suit [Non-Lucid]

This one was kind of odd, more like a visualization-induced non-lucid. At first I was just drifting off in bed, and I was thinking about walking around the hotel pool. We'd stayed there before so I know the area pretty well. In my imagination I was walking around in something like this, but like all black:

At first I was just sort of wishing I had that kind of bathing suit, but as I got more and more tired the scene started to expand and suddenly I actually was walking around the pool in that suit. I wasn't lucid though, so I didn't really appreciate it. I remember thinking that I was supposed to be meeting up with some friends of mine, some random female DCs who were busy changing into their suits, but I got distracted by a food stand by the pool. I tried to get a hot dog, but they were out. :C I saw my dad lounging by the side of the pool and went over to him and asked him why there were no hot dogs, and he said that they ran out of meat. He got up and started walking off with me and I started complaining about the situation to him, but I don't remember much after that. I think I woke up not long afterward.

      #2 - Fading Phone [Non-Lucid]

I had taken a bunch of downer drugs, and I specifically remember that Ativan and Xanax were two of them. I was partying all night, and I woke up the next morning while it was still dark outside. My dad was there and he asked me if I had gone anywhere while I was on the drugs, and I said no but joked that I couldn't be sure because I had blacked out. He looked concerned, and I layed down on the living room floor only for it to suddenly morph into the hotel room bed. Without changing position, I reached over to grab my phone and start typing up my dream. Suddenly, my dad gets up and walks over to my bed and is acting all emotional (I can't remember exactly what that means, but that's what I wrote down) My sheets are pulled up over my head by an unseen force, then my dad grabs my hands through the sheets. I'm overcome with a fear, and suddenly I realize this isn't happening. It's a very odd sensation to describe, it's kind of like... you're staring at the ceiling the whole time, and you're just really confused about what's going on, but it doesn't change the fact that you were just staring at the ceiling, it's just that you don't really understand it at first, so much that you think all this other stuff is happening, but then when you finally do, it still feels like that's all you were ever doing. Anyway.... I grab my phone again and start typing but it suddenly phases out of my hands, and I try a couple more times but it never works, so I give up. I have the actual feeling of being stuck, which is rare for me even in sleep paralysis, but I manage to shift my line of sight to the left. There's a faint light visible from something in the room, and as I stare at it it starts moving closer and growing and creating strange alien symbols, and I'm filled with a fear again, but then suddenly I snap out of it and am fully awake.

      #3 - Lucidly Non-Lucid Bad Trip [Non-Lucid]

This was a terrible dream. :T I took Benadryl, or diphenhydramine, at a hallucinogenic dose. For those of you who don't know what that's like, basically it's sort of similar to non-lucid dreaming, only even more schizophrenically psychotic, and layered over waking reality at the same time. Actually, it can be sort of like the way I described the sleep paralysis, everything is just so unbelievably confusing that even though you're interacting with reality, you just interpret it allllll wrong. And so that was reproduced, accurately I might add, in the dream. And diphenhydramine is an unbelievably terrible experience, not to mention I know how bad it is for you and already had to overcome an addiction to it, so this was a nightmare. The worst part about this experience was that I believed I was in this dream-like trip, so I was paying extremely close attention to the dreamy nature of everything that was happening, and yet no matter how odd it was it couldn't tip me off to the fact that I was dreaming because it fit the scenario perfectly. My mindset was basically like being lucid of the fact that I was non-lucid, and it pushed my dream insanity to a whole new level. I was at my aunt and uncle's house and even my family members over there were becoming extremely confused at the bizarre and unexplainable things I was doing. Yes, I was so non-lucid that the DCs were confused. I can't remember much of the actual plot, though.

      -----

This dream was from the second night we were there, and I fell asleep after more drinking and taking some Soma (carisoprodol).

Dream Fragment - I took a large dose of methoxetamine, which I've never taken in waking life, and ended up tripping out. I was in a classroom somewhere and someone was giving me a foot massage, and because of the drug it felt like my toes were floating off of their original spots and randomly switching places, which made me feel warm and giggly at the time. That's about all I can remember, though.
    7. Bizarre Family Party, FLCL Throwback?

      by , 03-30-2012 at 06:28 PM
I had several more dreams than these but I couldn't log them down because my phone was acting weird. :T Oh well. At least I got the lucid one down.

      #1 - Bizarre Family Party [Non-Lucid]

This one I just remember a few bits and pieces of. I was at a family party, there was some "moon scare" going on referencing some sort of apocalypse, it was my cousin K's birthday, my cousin G was suddenly legally allowed to drink alcohol despite being 17 years old, I talked about how I was hanging out with M and a couple other people before the party, out in front of the house a runaway bicycle came out of nowhere and rammed into some random guy's nuts, causing one of them to burst with blood flying everywhere , and finally a third-person view of some strange Futurama episode where Bender and Hermes got fused together.

Dream Fragment - I accidentally stumbled upon some YouTube video about "secular graduation" (something related to school), and all I remember about it is that there were lots of theater kids from my high school starring in it which surprised me, and there were these two Asian kids at the end. One of them was a bit chubby and had short, straight, silvery white hair, and the other was very thin with a blonde beard but a black goatee.

      #2 - FLCL Throwback? [MILD]

I was back at my middle school in a regular classroom but it was in the music hall. I was playing a Pokémon game with a bunch of random people and then C, an old friend and amazing weed dealer, comes in and joins us. Eventually he's heading out again and I decide to go with him, but when we get out into the hallway I realize it's a totally different person. I follow him out to the cafeteria anyway, only all of the tables are gone, and he's talking about OpheliaBlue, someone else I can't remember, and cheese. Slowly I start to think that something's not right, and then I realize that I'm dreaming. There are a ton of DCs walking around, and I tried to do something that failed but I can't remember what it was now. I saw some oddly placed lockers and decided to fly over to them, and as I did a couple of them magically opened, and there was just one big locker space behind them. There was a sheet of music in them, so I picked it up and then went over to a DC and yelled at them "Make music come off this page!" However, I was flailing the paper around in my hand as I was saying this and I guess that caused it to lose shape, I saw it morphing so I stopped shaking it and it took solid shape as a red electric guitar. o.o I shrugged and whacked the DC on the head with it, and he fell over and I flew off. I turned around to look at him a second later but all the DCs in the area had already changed drastically, and he was gone. I was just hovering above the crowd and decided to whack someone else too, so I did and as he fell over slowly his head popped off. I flew off but the dream started fading, I had lost my sense of sight and I could tell it was about to end.

False Awakening - This was fairly interesting.... I woke up, but didn't open my eyes. I guess that might've been connected to the lack of visual input at the end of the lucid, but I just perceived it as keeping my eyes closed. I felt my surroundings and could tell that it wasn't right. Upon a little inspection I realized I was lying down in a bathtub with just a little bit of water in it, I could feel the porcelain edges and everything. I considered the idea that this was some sort of strange tactile hallucination based on my bed that was just continuing because my dreaming mind hadn't totally shut down yet and I hadn't opened my eyes yet to break the illusion. However, when I actually did open my eyes I was lying in my bed in a totally different position, so it was definitely a false awakening.
    8. Battle For The Pencil, Getting Hustled

      by , 03-27-2012 at 04:25 PM
      #1 - Battle For The Pencil [Non-Lucid]

Linkzelda was in a good deal of this dream, though only fleetingly whenever he was. I was in this enormous and highly stylized school and I was carrying around a folder, a pencil, and a laptop, and consistently throughout the dream Link would sneak up behind me and attempt to grab the pencil from me before I was able to notice soon enough to do anything about it. While I don't remember a lot of the more specific details of this because the dream was really long, I do remember that every time he tried it was getting more intense because it was making me paranoid. Each time it seemed like he was getting just a little bit closer than the previous time. The last time, I was sitting at my laptop looking at a website that looked like some crappy '90s Angelfire page and listed information about different types of alcohol, and suddenly I had this feeling that he was right behind me. I turned around but it was too late, he already made a reach for the pencil, but I wasn't going to give it up so easily! (I hadn't even used it once in the dream. ) I got a firm grip on the pencil myself and thus began a massive struggle of trying to yank it out of the other's hands. It got sooo emotionally intense, but in the end I finally won. I was so amped up and happy that I proceeded to laugh exactly like Shion from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

After that I just walked off. I went down this gigantic spiral staircase and ended up in a cafeteria where I proceeded to look for some of my school friends, though really for the entire duration of the dream I was mainly distracted because I was just so happy that I was able to do that laugh.

      #2 - Getting Hustled [Non-Lucid]

I live somewhere right next to M now, and she's texting me about her day and talking about how she went across the street to this strip mall place for lunch. As she's saying this, I actually see her crossing the street to do it. I decided to head over there too, but then I got distracted and started thinking about going to GameStop, which I guess was also part of that strip mall. However, on the way there I looked into a different restaurant and saw N, D, J, and O, so I decided to go inside. We were in line getting food on trays like in a school lunch line, and I had a lot of food but all I really remember about my meal was that it included a couple bags of Cheez-Its. There was a guy in the line who was texting and totally immobile for a long time, so we all cut around him but the cashier refused to serve us. :T She said we had to go wait our turn if we wanted our food. We argued that that guy was trying to hustle us , but she told us we didn't have a choice. I think something short happened after that, but that's all I remember.
    9. We're In Heaven

      by , 03-26-2012 at 03:40 PM
      We're In Heaven [Non-Lucid]

The first part of the dream is hard to remember, but I was at my house with just my parents and my mom decided to take ecstasy, and then she started playing DDR in the living room, and I remember one of the songs was "We're In Heaven" by DJ Sammy, which I was listening to all last night.

My mom has never taken ecstasy before and she's not normally as open about drugs with me as my dad is, so I'm pretty surprised by this. I go and tell my dad and he asks her about, but it looks like she didn't actually want him to know. Oops, oh well. :T Around this point my dad turned into N, an old high school friend, and my mom turned into A, the girl that I actually had some feelings for in waking life from my dream not too long ago that I almost got to start fooling around with her in in my room and then people started barging in. >.< For the record, A has never taken ecstasy either. A sits down on the couch in my dad's usual spot and is starting to squirm and writhe a bit, and she's starting to get a pretty goofy euphoric smile on her face. I walked up to her and she motioned to N and said "Does he know?" and I said "Yeah, but don't worry, he's a bigger druggie than you'll ever be." (TOTALLY not true, not even remotely. ) She looks at me in a sort of drunken cocky way and says "No... I'll be bigger." and looks off all pleased with herself. I just laugh and say "You're starting to feel it, huh?" and she says "Yesssss. >w<" and writhes around some more with her eyes closed. At that moment she ripped off all her top clothes and underwear, and just stretched back on the couch. (I think she did it all in one swift movement too, damn that's impressive. ) I lingered for a second then went to tell N that it was starting to kick in. I go out to the kitchen and grab myself a good-sized strawberry, then decide to get one for A too since it'll probably taste amazing right now. She happily takes it and says that she is feeling a little nauseous, but she's still rolling around on the couch seat and acting like a little kid and doesn't seem TOO upset by it. I told her I'd get her a trash can and if she has to puke then just do it and get it over with because the feeling won't come back after that. She smiled at me and I walked off to do that, but then I woke up.

Okay, seriously.... I am getting a ridiculous amount of drug dreams lately.

      by , 03-25-2012 at 07:41 PM
      #1 - Challenge Accepted [Non-Lucid]

I go to reconnect with T, a friend I haven't seen for a while now, and I wait inside his house for him to get home. In retrospect, probably not the best idea, because as soon as I see they door start opening I say "Hey!" and it slams shut before I even see him at all, obviously I scared the shit out of him. I go outside expecting to see him holding a shotgun or something, but I catch him before he grabs any weapons and apologize and we start talking. He asks what I've been up to and I say I got back into the drugs pretty bad (which is thankfully not true), and I've been doing almost daily doses of ketamine, 4-MeO-PCP, and LSD. Our conversation gets interrupted by some Mexican laborers doing construction on his house who convince him to jump in the pool with them, and my scene shifts to a small backyard party with four boxes of Pizza Hut cinnamon sticks next to me, three of them medium-sized and one large, and I don't move at all, I literally saw the whole scene melt and transform from where it was to this. A guy comes outside in the middle of a conversation we were having and asks me "Are you happy?", to which I say "Hell yeah!" He mistakes the boxes as being someone else's but I correct him by pointing out that they're mine. I told him that I already ate the three medium ones by myself () and I was saving the large one for later. A guy sitting to the right of me then reaches out and grabs the large box. He opens it up and eats one of the cinnamon sticks and just stares at me in that "Whatcha gonna do about it?" challenging way. A lot of people around us go "ooooo", and I definitely heard someone whisper something like "That's not how we were raised in my house." I raise an eyebrow at him and reach out to grab the box myself. I grab a large cinnamon stick and take a HUGE scoop of icing, like almost the whole thing, and then throw the box into the middle of the room for everyone to eat. (When I focused on doing this, the scene changed from us sitting in a backyard to us sitting in someone's room.) Everyone acted really surprised, and then I woke up.

      #2 - Tarzan [Non-Lucid]

I was hanging out with M, at her apartment I think but I didn't get to see much of it, watching some random anime. For most of it the anime took over my entire vision so I was watching it in third person, and it occurs to me now that, at least while I was actually experiencing it and not just seeing it on the TV, none of this "anime" was actually animated, it was just a realistic scene like any other. I don't remember too much of the plot other than that the villain was trying to become a "Tarzan", which to the characters meant some kind of all-powerful being, and he was already able to fly. He was also super buff and wearing nothing but a leopard print speedo, and I spent much of the viewing experience watching him closely. They were at a public pool, and the heroes apparently defeated him by tricking him with word play (that I can't quite remember now) to make it sound like he had slept with the main character's dad, who was now an old man, and that that made him the main character's mother. And that's it, that totally defeated him. Yes.... My perspective zooms back out into first person and I'm talking to M about the show while listening to some random anime music, I think some speed trance, and she picks up this empty milk gallon jug from the floor and start floating into the air a little bit. Once she's off the ground a good distance, she starts spinning her legs forward as if she was riding some invisible bicycle, and that makes her go up even higher. She bobs around a little bit but stays at a consistent height, and she starts blowing in the milk jug to make music, and in between breaths she laughs hysterically. The only thing I find even remotely concerning about this is that at what point she's floating over me and I don't want her to fall on me. I think to myself that I could just move, but then I figure she probably knows what she's doing. Shortly after that she floats back down the ground, and that's the end of that.

    11. Pestering Drug Dreams

      by , 03-24-2012 at 03:42 PM
Dream Fragment - I was on some random psychedelic(s), as were lots of other people. I gave an old, old friend C and this guy D some psychedelics of their own and even some money to get more when they run out, but they still weren't very thankful and came running right back when they wanted more.

Dream Fragment - Lots of my friends took some 2C-T-7, and a separate group of my friends also took it but with DPT, totally unplanned, and then they ran into each other while tripping. The dream was mostly the next day and I was just listening to them talk about how awesome their trips were.

    12. Vividness Is An Illusion

      by , 03-24-2012 at 12:31 AM
I had a dream before and after this one, but I was too lazy to write them down. They're not important, anyway.... I spent like eight hours helping a friend do yard work immediately after getting up so I don't remember much of this dream other than what I wrote down, but what's really important to me is what happened at the end....

      Vividness Is An Illusion [DILD]

So first, the part of the dream I just barely remember. It was another high school dream, and there was some plot going on about some girl who wanted to kill us all and expected me to play along with it. (I don't remember this in the slightest, it's just from the notes). There was lots of really trippy stuff going on though, like when I was in a hallway and couldn't figure out which way to go, I looked at a wall and saw this guy J's face attached to the wall smiling this creepy smile and tilted sideways in the correct direction, so I smiled back and walked that way. Also, I remember being in a class and seeing my cat walking around, and people wanted me to follow them so I told them to hold up while I put my cat away. I picked up my backpack and unzipped the center area to put him in, but when I looked inside there was another cat already in there, and he looked like he was starving. I said "Oh shit! I must have put this other cat in here already and forgot about him, my bad.", then just left them both there and walked off. Anyway, so the girl that was trying to kill us wanted me to do something, but I didn't fall for her trap this time. I became very mildly lucid and just flew up, phasing through the higher floors, until I was over the building. I was just trying to get away from the girl and didn't really have any goals in mind, so from high up I just watched some kids playing soccer in the distance until I woke up.

This is where it got interesting for me. I'm no longer confused about the last time I woke up and was still dreaming but everything was SO real, including detail I hadn't actually seen before, and I even was pretty sure I was awake at first but then lost focus, in a way that false awakenings don't. That and this were hypnopompic hallucinations. So I woke up in bed, facing the wall. It was pretty dark still, but then suddenly I heard a guy talking extremely clearly and there was sounds of cheering on a TV. I didn't see either one, but I immediately got mental images, the voice was coming from a heavyset black man and the TV (which was not actually on) was showing some soccer game. Unlike the last time where I was asked by a hallucinated M if I was up and I responded "I think I'm awake....", but then forgot about it when I started listening to her, this time I knew exactly what was going on. I started mentally repeating to myself "It's a hallucination, it's a hallucination...." I got a very clear image of what was going on in the soccer game too, there were no players at all, just several soccer balls of different sizes. They were moving in strange trajectories one at a time until they hit the next one and caused it to roll, sort of like dominoes causing each other to fall over. The man was talking about the game, though I can't remember what he was saying now, it was all rather startling and I wasn't paying much attention, not to mention my short-term memory was still pretty terrible. Eventually though he started just saying complete gibberish words, and I knew the hallucination was falling apart. I took a leap of faith and quickly turned over to see if he was there, but the room was empty. All the sounds vanished, and I felt very dissociated for a second, and then I returned to full waking consciousness. There was no feeling of waking up because I was already awake, just sort of a transitional blip.

Basically what I can say about this is... it made me realize how much we fool ourselves into thinking that regular lucid dreams are vivid. I'm sure they can be made extremely vivid like this, but they're still nowhere near as vivid as waking life. My most realistic dream, which I previously would have said was possibly even more vivid than reality, now just seems like a hallucination compared to this. Senses like hearing and sight can definitely be waaay up there in dreams, the amount of detail in specific objects can definitely match reality, but there's so much more that just isn't present in dreams. In waking life your brain constantly monitors your heart rate, breathing rate, the position of each of your limbs and how comfortable they are, what temperature you are in various parts of your body, whether you have any itches, if you're hungry, thirsty, bloated, sweaty, physically nervous.... All five of your senses are constantly at work at full vividness, your brain knows that it has to keep itself aware of EVERYTHING in your line of sight and peripherals, not just what you're focusing on, it has stay aware of even the slightest sounds or changes in taste or smell or feeling. Basically, in waking life, your brain knows it can't just let loose like it can in dreams. Together these make for soooo much detail missing in dreams unless you're specifically focused on it, it's ridiculous. The reason we can feel like dreams are so vivid is because we don't normally consciously think about this stuff, and in dreams it's hard to remember what it's like to be in the waking world anyway, but this vividness is an illusion. Even when you're on drugs and awake and hallucinating in reality, they have a dreamy feeling to them and you often lose track of some of these sensations. This was different. I was in reality, totally hallucinating, and totally lucid. This feeling of knowing you're in a dream while being in the waking world was mind-blowing, at least to me. This is something I won't soon be forgetting. I wonder how much work it could take, what level of awareness would be required, to recreate sensations this powerful in dreams....

Dream Fragment - Another good one ruined by not waking up all the way right away. >.< Literally all I remember about this dream now is that Linkzelda41 was there for I'm pretty sure the whole time, and there was lots of talk of OBEs, and I think we may have been having some too because I remember seeing the whole world reduced to some kind of energy grid. Then I woke up and thought delirious thoughts to myself for a minute or so, then just laid in bed all happy for another couple minutes and said "Wait, hold on a sec!?", but by then it was mostly gone.

#1 - Could It Be? [DILD]

I was at my house in the den having a small party with a group of people who I mostly don't remember, but it included this guy J who I haven't seen since middle school but we used to see every now and then, but he was really soft and sensitive (that's putting it really nicely, it wasn't exactly in a good way). There was also a female DC there who stands out in memory unlike the rest, she had kind of a badass style of dark clothes that looked like they were just meant to be worn as normal clothes but still had kind of a club look to them, it's hard to explain exactly but I think it looks really cool. (Aaaand just right now as I'm typing this up, suddenly something occurs to me. The last time a DC was this vivid in my memory, she was wearing the exact same style of clothes. The hair style was different here, but the face looked about the same from what I can recall. And that DC from before also happened to have super speed and could have totally kicked my ass if I didn't wake up from my lucid, she totally outclassed me. And here comes the interesting part....) The girl used a cloning ability to split herself into two bodies. Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought of this as a dream power, but it didn't make me become lucid. She starts making out with J with both bodies at once, and he's having a GREAT time, and I start taking pictures with my phone. Eventually she stops and the two of us head into another room and I tell her that was really nice of her to do given the way J is kind of fragile. She smiles at me, and suddenly I get the idea to head back to my room for some reason. As I walk past my dad's office, I hear O talking on the phone with his dad sounding like he'd have to be heading home soon. I decide to start looking through my phone to see if the pictures I took are any good, and I can't find them. But I do find a picture of a different J, a guy I used to hang out with a lot when I got out of high school, standing in some high school chemistry classroom. (Though it wasn't the one we had, we did have a chemistry class together in 10th grade, so it's not too crazy.) Suddenly the scene overtakes me and I'm watching it in third person. I become lucid, which is odd considering the perspective I'm in now, and the girl suddenly appears out of nowhere next to J. My falling-love-with-girls-in-dreams instinct takes over, and I jump into J's body to try to make out with her. Before I can, it suddenly snaps back to me in my own body in my bedroom at home, with me sitting on the bed and her sitting in my desk chair. I reach out and kiss her and pull her back on to the bed with me, but then the dream ends. :T

False Awakening - I get up and start thinking about making note of the dream, and then for some reason I can't quite remember now I get sidetracked thinking about OpheliaBlue. Suddenly I start having a panic attack, and I'm flooded with false memories about how I took a hallucinogenic dose of diphenhydramine at the party from the dream, which definitely didn't actually happen. I'm freaking out and thinking I must have overdosed, I feel my forehead and it's sooo hot, my limbs are all feeling extremely tense, and my heart is beating erratically and keeps having stinging sensations. I drink some water to try to cool myself off but the water itself is kind of warm, so I get up and turn on the lights (successfully!) to get dressed and go get some cold water from the kitchen, but things are already starting to look really bad, and as I touch my chest to feel my heart rate suddenly I feel a heavy sinking feeling. But then I wake up. Finally. :\

Dream Fragment - "Something about trains, teleporting, and a girl named Nelly...."

      #2 - Candy Gift Boxes [Non-Lucid]

It's the end of the school year in high school, and someone who I can't remember now is teaching me how to make these triangular transparent two-sided candy gift boxes as a present, and then afterward O invites me to go get Chinese food with him, but I wake up before anything becomes of it.

      -----

So now I'm really thinking about the female DC, she's really the only DC that vividly stands out to me, she's outgoing, she's recurring (totally odd for me with DCs), she totally overpowers me in lucids, and she can use dream powers that I'm not even close to having yet.

      Could she be my DG...?
    14. Drugs And Fame, Catching Up, Souvenirs

      #1 - Drugs And Fame [Non-Lucid]

I got to see O's new house that he has all to himself (not his real house, though he did just move into a new house and this is like my third dream about him getting another one since then) and he's becoming hugely successful with his DJing. When I first see him he's really drunk, like usual, and then somehow I get locked in a mostly third-person and hard to remember clip about Kyle and Cartman from South Park trying to go to Africa for some reason. After that I end up back in the house normally and go back into O's room. He's stumbling around but constantly moving, and when he talks he slurs like crazy. He starts talking about some out-of-country trip he's going on with one of his idol DJs he's always looked up to, and says that he loves his life. I try to be supportive, but I'm really concerned for him, like I am in the waking world. DJing is something he loves and I know he's having a great time, but I worry because even though he wouldn't have been able to start actually doing it at clubs and stuff if it wasn't for me, he also wouldn't be drinking and doing coke all the time. :\ Though, the coke he's been sort of cutting back on, which is wonderful. Anyway, so he's just happy-looking and staring at the ceiling, and I ask him if he's on anything, to which he responds "ecstasy and H" (the H I take to mean heroin). I say "I could go for a little H...." (I'm a shitty friend. ) but then I back out because I realize that it'll probably give me anxiety from making me feel like my breathing is depressed.

      #2 - Catching Up [Non-Lucid]

I spend the dream catching up with an old friend of mine, S, who I haven't seen in years, but we used to be really close. We were hanging out at his house, and I think the first thing I remember is us eating a TON of delicious Gushers. Meanwhile I'm filing him in on what's new in my life, and he's doing the same, and he gives me a Gusher filled will chocolate made with weed. We consider smoking some weed too but get interrupted by his parents and two non-existent brothers, and I decide to head home. My car is in their garage for some reason, so we head out their and I show all of them my newest car and they're all amazed even though it's not really that amazing. I say goodbye and pull out, and I wake up just as I'm turning on to the service road to get on the highway.

      #3 - Souvenirs [Non-Lucid]

I'm going to some big supposedly famous store to buy some special souvenirs (they kept using a word for it in the dream that made it sound important or like it was part of our destiny, but I can't remember it now) with S, his parents, and O. On the way there we stop at a gas station or something, and then we start getting followed by a cop on the way to the store. Nothing becomes of it though, and we get out and start walking toward it through a huge crowd of people. During this the setting goes from a store at night to a water park at day, and the group I'm with turns into all family members. I watch a brief third-person video about previous years when they'd all come here and gotten their special souvenirs, and the first couple of years also included a girl named S who I mostly haven't seen since high school and a couple random friends (just DCs I think) of hers, but then it shifted to my family members too. I mainly watched what my cousin K got, and then the video stopped on the current date and shifted back into first-person. I smiled at K, and then she starts crying and tells me and then asks me... well, something very emotional. I hugged her and responded "I don't know, sometimes life just isn't that easy." We entered the front building and watched some little kid try to get at a gumball machine or something for the rest of the dream.

    15. Fragments And Sensing Energy

      by , 03-19-2012 at 07:20 PM
Dream Fragment - I was at a Target-like store with D and my European History AP teacher from high school, and we were locked in some battle over who would get some random girl DC as their wife, "based on some doubles/singles Ed, Edd n Eddy setup", I have no idea what that last note means. Don't remember much else, it was pretty weird....

Dream Fragment - This one there was definitely more to, but I didn't wake up all the way from it and it was hazy even when I did, so it's pretty much lost. But what I do remember is that the whole time there was a very emotional feel to it, and I spent a lot of the dream talking to a girl, in whom I could clearly sense Linkzelda41's energy.

Dream Fragment - "Hanging out with M and N, shopping on ecstasy and sort of freaking out."

False Awakening - I woke up and walked to the window and looked outside and was super excited to see the ground covered in snow. Somehow, I had a feeling it would be, too, even though the weather in waking life is nothing like that.
