The Nomad Chronicles

I am in my study in the Tower. Apparently, it is now a wizard tower, or always was.

I am writing in a large book, called the Lifetimes Book.

MoSh walks in wearing green and black wizard garb.

"What seekest, thou, brother?"

"Uh... Why are you talking like that, MoSh?"

"I don't know. What's that book about?"

"Oh, it's my Waking Life Journal."

"Why are you writing in it?"

"I do every night. It helps me keep track of lifetimes."

I show MoSh the book. There are many illuminated pictures of us I have painted and enhanced with gold ink of us fighting together throughout many lifetimes on Earth.

"Wow... WakingNomad?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think this is more real than the physical world?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Look around you. Eat those crunchy dreamberries in that bowl there."

MoSh eats some. "Oh my god. Everything is so vivid. This is real."

"You just engaged your sense of touch, taste, smell, and sound."

"THIS IS REAL! THIS IS REAL! THIS IS REAL!"

MoSh flies through the wall, and out into the sky, shouting "THIS IS REAL!"

He starts belly laughing, and clutching his stomach. He fades away. I guess he woke up.

I am in some annoying house. ( Annoying because in dreams, I am always at different houses that I think is my house, or my friend or family's house, and it's never their house in waking life. )

In my dreams, it's in my friend, M's house.

My sister and friend leave to go somewhere. I become semi-lucid because of the impossibility of it being M's house.

I go into M's bedroom and go through her drawers. Everything in there is boring.

Kamapua'a stands above me as I awake into the astral plane. I leap up to my feet. His eyes are glowing red in his wild boar face. He roars at me, and and I roar back. He grabs me by the scruff of my neck, and opens a portal entitled: Legends.

We land on a mountain in Hawai'i. I see the gods walking invisibly among the human people. We are still here. We were always as such, but even now....

I see a kamapua'a type god possess a man, and he rescues a child in a stroller that was about to be hit by a bus. He manages to save the child, but the mother dies.

Then, we see him in court in shackles. People are arguing and protesting about the case. Some say they are being racist toward him because he is Hawaiian.

They let the man out of custody, but he still has to go to court.

He packs some tools, and hunting weapons, and gets in a canoe, and paddles to Moloka'i. He lives in the mountains alone, living off the land like his ancestors. He kills pigs for meat.

I see an arrow go right into the eye of the pig, and it dies.

Selene and I get in a fight. She storms off. I sit and meditate by the koi pond. Selene comes back, and kisses my head, then disappears.

I am playing with Jo, my astral pet in his terrible true form. He looks like a little rabid demon bull terrier with wings.

I give him a hug, and ask him where he's been.


He says I told him to stop scaring Angel, because he always growled at her, so he hid in my symbiote costume.

I am surveying my strange hellish fantasy world.

I see the flowers that Angel planted... dark energy sunflowers, stealing my energy, and funneling it to her.

I see myself pulling them out.

What the hell are you doing?

I make a tornado, which flies through my land, and rips them all out, then goes into a portal.

NOTES

I am with MoSh in his Inner World. We are playing a video game, and smoking and drinking. Asuka scolds us for smoking. I inform her these are tobacco-less cigarettes. She serves us some cookies.

I notice she is wearing a dark purple and black dress. Odd. Her irises are violet.

"Asuka? You okay?"

There is something crawling around inside the dress itself. WTF.

I ask MoSh to hold her down, while I deftly carve the thing out with a dagger. It looks like some kind of beetle. I stomp on it. Washu and Janet appear and scold me.

I frown at them.

Some creepy dude shows up at the door wearing a black suit and flowers.

MoSh answers.

"Hello is Asuka here?"

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!"

MoSh roars, and morphs into a giant glistening black snake. The guy's eyes grow wide, as MoSh opens his mouth and bares his fangs. He quickly opens a portal and jumps in. MoSh tells me to follow him.

I track him to this creepy Pied Piper Inner World. He has a bunch of children trapped there. He says he's their friend, but it's some kind of weird dream prison.

I make a bunch of portals for the kids to escape until his Inner World looks like swiss cheese. The kids run away. He pleads for them to stay. I flip him off, and seal his world up.

I am a dragon lying nearly invisible in a forest. Hyu is a dragon walking on his hind legs. He is a dark purple color. I marvel at how realistic the dream looks. I decide to forget it's a dream, and call it, Reality. "This is real life. This is my second life, no my first life."

I grin to myself in my immortal dragon dream body, and ponder the immortal nature of the dream body itself. Hyu is talking to a giantess. It's Yuya. She reminds me of Selene, like they could be sisters or cousins. I put out my foot, and trip them.

Yuya falls into a puddle, and pretends to be upset. Hyu runs to her. "You okay?"

She splashes him and laughs, "Of course I am! It's [I]water[/I] silly.

"Oh!" he grins sheepishly.

"You know you are a dragon right now, right?"

"No, I am not."

Yuya bursts out laughing.

Hyu looks at his dragon hands.

"Oh, I am dreaming!"

"No, you're not dreaming Hyu. You're on Teraluna. Dreams are things made up by your mind. This is a [I]real dream.[/I] You are an inter-dimensional traveler. We all are, in our dreams. Hey- who's there? Nomad?"

Yuya hears me giggling in the bushes.

I stand up and become visible.

"Oh!" she startles.

Hyu looks at me scrutinizingly, studying the details of my scale. "Yes, I am real!" I shout.

Hyu falls backwards. "You're real! You're another dreamer... Nomad... Nomad... from Earth?"

"Oh, let's not talk about that right now. It's time to battle!"

"No- wait-"

I roar at him and the ground shakes. He instinctively digs his feet into the ground. A fire burns behind his eyes darkly. "That's more like it, DRAGON!" I roar at him again and shoot fire and steam out of my mouth. It scalds him as he charges me through the pain. I hear him thinking, "This is a dream. I feel no pain."


"Hey, that's my line biter!" He bites my in the neck, as he leaps upon me.

"Shit!"

I morph into a cute bunny and run around in the grass.

Aw! He turns into Spyro and starts playing with me.

I turn into a giant monster sheep rabbit, and pick him up, and swallow him.

He explodes a fireball around himself, and I splatter all over the place.

I make myself ethereal.

"Good, good. You are learning."

"Hey come back here, you! Stop acting like a ghost!"

"Oh, it's actually water dragon magic. I'm now made of steam. Anyway, I don't think Yuya is your Dream Guide. I think she's more like an old friend... anyway, since your Dream Guide is being a slack ass, she is stepping into the role. But, I'll be your surrogate DG until your real one shows up, so Yuya and you can just hang out and find out about each other. So, from now on, ask me about dreams. I'll will always be a purple dragon. I hope! Just, uh, don't try to perceive me as Barney, coz that would be annoying. Anyway, I know this will work. Trust me. Even if you don't remember this dream, your dream mind remembers every dream you have ever had. Aloha!"

He nips at me as I fade away.

I was with this chick, D. We were fooling around, and I asked her if she wanted to fuck. She seemed to not care one way or the other. I got annoyed and bounced.

I am trying to see if I can make a certain part of my dream body bigger.

I am holding a wooden shotgun. The barrel has twigs. I make a second barrel on the gun.

I am with Selene on the Green Moon. I start coughing. Raven picks me up in something like an energy net, and takes me to the Healing Glen. The Frost Giant talks to me at length about the nature of sickness of the three main bodies: physical, dream, and astral.

Joseph said he is going to join us on the Moon, and live at the Tower.

I get bandaged up, and Selene and I go to my house in BanyanLand, and cuddle in the Great Room. We have a long discussion about the difference between her and Angel, and all my dream lovers, and physical plane lovers.

I ask her what the nature of love is, she says: Gift, and kisses me passionately.

I tell he I never want to wake up. I am done with the other world. She smiles and says I have to go back, there is a lot I need to do there.

Some random chick in the living room. She says her name is S.

We make out. We are going to have sex, but my sister is there. She mumbles angrily in her sleep.

I ask S if she wants to have sex in my car. No.

I ignore her and go outside.

The moon is on fire! fuck! keep going. Fly!!!

Wait... another moon. That one's not on fire.

FLY TO THE NOT-ON-FIRE MOON!

Shit, that one's on fire, too! I am getting closer? Yes! no?

SHIT! WAKING UP!

I awake...

MoSh and I are working on a motorcycle, and a black truck at my old house in Arizona. We are changing the oil. He is wearing a mechanic's singleton.

He walks up the hill, and stares at the sky.

I ask him what he is doing. "Watching the sun set and the moon rise," he says.

We get on flying android horses, and ride them through a portal to the Moon.

the whole fuckin universe is vibrating into other dimensions. I have 360 vision in 360 worlds. I feel like am going completely batshit insane. I am enjoying. I am not ... I am everything and nothing.

Is this what infinty feels like? I am at the golden zero point in the center of of the lemniscate.

I am Tezcatlipoca. I am you. I am the god of dreams.

Visions flood my head: snapshots of different parallel "nows" into infinity.

I am a lion-man god in a ziggurat decorated with many feathers. Humans and other cat-people are worshipping me. "SILENCE!" I roar. I am no god. I am a man, a Juarman, just like you. We are all equal."

I stand up, and tear off my feathers and headdress. I walk to the edge of the ziggurat.

"WE ARE ALL EQUAL!!!" I roar to the people.

They cheer exuberantly and throw jelly beans and cats into the air. We all sprout angel wings and fly into space.

I see I can perceive and dream or any moment in any lifetime I choose by focusing on it. I watch myself in the future. I see myself wearing a Chinese kung-fu shirt with long hair, typing at a computer.

"That's me logging my dream in my DJ," I laugh to myself. I look one step in the future. I am getting a drink, and doing other mundane things. I FF.

I see more and more future lifetimes the further I get away from the present, growing out like a cone. Ah... the lemniscate reappears again! I further away in the future, the harder it is to see... yet, all loops back into the zero point from whence it came, simultaneously with all.

For some reason, it seems I cannot resist getting a drink at the library today. It's as if that moment is a zero point, something inevitable.

I smash the image with my fist. It ripples, and I am wearing a brown yarn girl wig. I smash it again. Now I am wearing a rubber pig mask with the wig. WTF. Now I am a transvestite in a skirt and a football uniform wearing an ugly rubber girl mask...

OK, ENOUGH!

DJ ENTRY

I leap out of my body, a minotaur wielding a morning star. I am surrounded by astral demons. They are growling at me like hungry dogs. They look like hair four legged gargoyles with grey skin. I focus on the details of their faces. “I’m going into the Deep Astral STATE BITCHES!”

Raven appears. She is wielding a crazy weapon. It has a long handled two handed weapon. One the damage end is a chain with a half circle blade on it.

I raise my arms in the air, and summon a black swirling storm. Lightning comes down, and flows over my body. I roar like a crazed beast. My dragons appear growing out of glowing tattoos on my forearms. I shoot my dragons at my enemies.
They perch on my arms and shoot flames and ice bullets at the demons. Raven swirls around, slicing them up.
Angel appears. WTF. She says something about still loving me, and gets sideswiped by a demon. I shoot a metal dragon into his brain, and make its head explode. I burn all the matter off of us.

“You can still dream with me, Angel, but you have to kick some ass.”

“FUCK YOU, NATE!” she screams at me. Her eyes glow white, and she summons lightning from the sky.

“You have dark energy, let me heal you,” says Raven.

“No! I am fine! Who are you? His new girlfriend? Ah! I hate you!”

“Dammit Angel!”

A dream demon comes from behind her, and bites down on her head. She screams, and the demon explodes.

“OK! New dream!” I shout, creating a portal. I gesture for Raven to follow. She looks at Angel concernedly. “She can handle herself, as long as she doesn’t get distracted by me.”

Raven walks calmly through the demons to me and the portal. She turns back to Angel, who is wielding a glowing quarterstaff. I grab Raven’s wrist. “Nomad, stop. She needs our help.”

“No, she doesn’t. She’s a powerful witch in this deep dream state- astral state, whatever.”

I grab Raven’s wrist and pull her through. While in the wormhole, I see Angel is following me, holding on to my ankle as we fly.

“Nate, sorry Nate, sorry. I still love you. Help.”

I see a demon gnawing on her ankle. I try to smack it off. Wait... It’s a growth. It’s part of her.

“You have to deal with your own demons.”
We tumble through on to the Moon by the Peaceful Pool in the Biodome where Angel and I always talk.

“Nate, you bastard. Is this a date with your new girlfriend?”

I am staring at the demon growth on her ankle.

“Oh gross.”

“Let me heal you,” Raven says.

“No one is going to steal my boyfriend away from me! He’s mine! My pet! My little pet! I own him.”

I yawn. “See,” I say to Raven, rolling my eyes. “She has to seek her own healing.”

Angel flying tackles Raven suddenly into the pool. When they come up, they are laughing and splashing water at each other. “Ok... weird.”

“The pool here has a calming and healing effect,” I hear Q10 say.

“Ah.” I jump in the pool also. Angel looks at me with wounded eyes. Raven excuses herself. She says she’ll be back in a bit.

“Is it over, Nate?” she asks.

“One phase is over. The part of the story where we get codependent and hate each other. That part is over. I wish you could remember, or at least try to remember how many lives we have been together.”

“I want to see. Show me.”

“You can see for yourself, whenever you want, Angelwitch.”

“One last kiss goodbye, Nate.”

“No.”

She grabs me and turns me to her. I gently push her away. She forcefully kisses me for a second, and I give in. A tear rolls down her cheek and mine simultaneously. “Are we going to be together again, ever?”

“As friends, always. As lovers... probably not again this lifetime. Maybe a few years down the road, my dear. We need to be apart for a long, long time. We have a lot of personal negative karma to expiate before we come together as a couple. If not this lifetime, I will see you in the next, as dolphins.”

Angel fades away. I fall back into the water, and let the excess negative energy flow out of me. I step out of the pool. Raven is on the bank.

“You alright, Nomad?”

“Yeah...”

I sit down and stare at the water. Raven sits next to me.

“Raven, look how real everything looks, how it feels! Look at the veins in the blade of grass! Look at the beetle crawling on it! Is this how gods feel? Did we make all this?”

“Well, Q helped a lot, right? And also, I think a lot of things are just evolving on their own.”

“True. Raven, I love dreams. This dream is real, isn’t it?”

“Yes.”

Raven smiles at me. It’s a very sweet, simple loving smile, the way my sister, Rachel smiles at me.

“So, you felt like “they” were coming for you? Who is that?”

“ I don’t know. Men in black, the spooks, the aliens... Shit I don’t know. All I know is some of my memories got blacked out, redacted... something happened... I have to find out. But, I am so tired right now... I have to sleep.”

“Always sleeping in dreams.”

“Try it! It’s cool.”

I fall asleep.

I am hanging out with this little four-year-old, which somehow has the mind of a fifteen-year-old.

I am at his house somewhere in the midwest. It's a little upscale for this podunk town. He asks me to take him to the airport to meet his dad. I tell him to go fuck himself. He can drive.

He says he's too small.

I tell him to catch a cab.

He says he can't and throws his toys at me.

I pick him up, and set him angrily on a big fluffy chair, and scream in his face: FUCK YOU.

He seems to find this mildly amusing.
