    Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 14

Today, I recalled two LDs,, each occurring very early and very late into my sleep, respectively. The last one was especially surprising in how much I control I had in it, doubly so given the bout of insomnia I was afflicted with today. Nothing else besides that.

    Dream 1 - Repelled a Valorous Ambush

Only remember the end of this. The visuals were very dim. I was in what seemed an altered version of my bedroom. An odd entity accompanied me, an illuminated, red, human-shaped silhouette the size of a child.

Suddenly, another such figure jumped in after the red being, only this one was adult sized and shone in white light. He was a member of Team Valor, I just knew it. In fact, I'm almost certain this was RelaxAndDream. In any case, his plan, I'm sure, was to take off with my unknown companion. However, he missed. With his ambush compromised, the enemy chose to flee empty-handed, and he vanished in a flash of light.

I suspected he jumped through time. So, in response, I called to the Time Gem to keep him in stasis. By this point, I'd caught on to the dream. But, just as I was about to seek out my opponent, I was awakened to a storm. Ah, crud.

WBTB after several other awakenings. A too thorough of an SSILD attempt turns into a few hours of sleeplessness.

    Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 14

    Scene 1 - Surprising Stability
WILD transition within shut eyes. I'd a very weak grasp of the state, and had to seriously calm my nerves to barely keep things in check. To get things moving, I muttered "deeper" repeatedly in hopes of stabilizing and transitioning the dream. After seeing a few jumbled images, it worked as intended!

Scene 2 - Another Stroll Over the City
The visuals were bright and just slightly blurred. I was floating above a busy cityscape under a clear dawn sky.

I swoop down to get a better look at the streets below. The environment and objects swayed between dated 3D and realistic, including the vehicles, stop signs, pavement, and buildings. There was no sound at first. My voicing a few horns and humming motors fixed that.

Then, I'm not-entirely-willingly pulled out of there to a tour between the skylines in the area. Seen it all before, but another go wouldn't hurt. I'm eventually taken into the construction site of what could only be a vast, wide tower. This drags me near a few cement low walls and window frames. So, for quick points, I try phasing through the walls. At first, a force keeps me from diving in too deeply to do so, and simply takes me past the windows. It takes a bit of finagling to finally hit a wall, from which I clip right through without resistance. To assure myself, I do likewise through a complete wall.

    The visuals collapse. Re-anchor, re-stabilize- re-transition.

Scene 3 - A Somewhat Helpful, Monstrous Hand
Similar visuals as before. This took place over the waters of a seaside city at a bright day. I was just an observer.

The viewpoint scrolls horizontally over the water. It then focuses on what's clearly the Statue of Liberty in the middle of nowhere. Several distant shots and close-ups are made. Some 80's tune plays along with this as if a movie credits.

My mind drifts on bringing some huge monster for the heck of it. Suddenly, in some far-off place, such a thing emerges from the depths. This appeared as a gigantic, gaunt humanoid. Its skin had orange, chitinous plates, as well as other somewhat insectile features. Besides two tiny beads for eyes, its face was indiscernible. Furthermore, its left arm was much longer than the right one. The creature reaches its malformed, clawed hand to the "camera", and immediately pulls me into the dream. And, just as quickly, it tosses me to the horizon.

Had to restabilize. When I come to, I find I'm floating in the sea, the city barely visible far in the distance. Numerous others were there with me, including my siblings. Felt it was a casual swim, given how unperturbed everyone was. What's more, I heard Stone Man's theme from Mega Man - Power Fighters sounding in the background, to which I joyfully hummed along for a while.

From there, I thought to control the tides. I motioned and called for a huge wave to emerge. Soon, a sizeable wave arrived, probably about a dozen foot tall. It foamed up a bit, and dragged all of us towards it, only to simply lift us over without incident. Eh, so-so, but I wanted something BIG. I gestured for another one, and, just as requested, brought forth a huge tsunami of a wave. Where the others panicked, I looked on with contained joy.

Once it crashed down, the dream begins destabilizing. More re-stabilization. I witness various colorless images of my wandering some hallways. Eventually, I'm fully transitioned.

Scene 4 - Stop That, Whatever You Are
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was sitting in a small classroom. Couldn't really focus on much, as I needed to put full concentration on keeping the environment in place. Suddenly, something begins tugging at my toes. I'd various thoughts on what that could be. I try bringing as such to being, but this sensation was simply too distracting. This soon awakens me.

Inb4 RelaxAndDream posts an entry telling he decided to invade your dream while lucid.

I think he did it just to prove this wrong.
