    Lucid Time!

    Random bits

I can't remember when I had these dreams or what they actually connect to. Most of them are quite boring, at least in my eyes, just random "brain gunk" that I seem to get alot when I'm not particularly focused on lucid dreaming.

And let me just come right out, I am making no effort whatsoever to write with neatness or flow.

I met a girl from my school from awhile ago. (In real life, she liked me, but I didn't like her. For the sake of this DJ entry, we'll call her Daisy.) She reappeared in this dream and sort of dragged me along on a date. The first portions of the dream took place in a real life park not too far from my house.
A lot of stuff happened on our date, but I can't remember the filler. I was trying to get out of the situation, because In real life, or in dreams, I'm not really a romantic type. There was another male dream character that was following us too.
In the last part of our date, she rented a hotel room in this very large hotel skyscraper. (I remember the hotel skyscraper very vividly, it was very shanty looking like it was made out of sheet metal and scraps.) When we got to the room she started taking off her clothes. Now I had been trying to weasel my way out of this date for awhile, but no way am I going "all the way" with her.
I start running out of the hotel, when I get lucid. Ok, I didn't actually get lucid, but I realized that I had dream control powers, but didn't understand the fact that I was actually dreaming. I flew up into the air.
Now for some odd reason, I became extremely angry with Daisy for this whole thing, and she was in the hotel room, with the other male DC. I flew up to the hotel room, and I had a new ability. I could throw this white lasso onto the building and began pulling it apart.
I know that sounds somewhat strange, but at this point I began tearing the tower apart trying to kill Daisy for dragging me on this date that I never wanted to go on. The thing that I remember about the dream most clearly was the destruction of the tower.

I woke up on a hospital bed and noticed that I felt quite strange from the knees down. I pulled up the sheets and saw that I actually had prosthetic legs.
A couple of doctors came in and explained to me the incident that had led me to get these prosthetic legs, and why my original legs had to be amputated. I cannot remember the details of why, just that it was explained to me.
What I remember clearly was the look of the prosthetic. They were black, with metal bands going up and down the front and back, and were quite a bit thinner than normal legs, but still had the same sort of shape to them. The black portion had a dark-grey crosshatched texture to it. Also the legs didn't have feet, just a sort of hook with a couple screw holes as though the feet hadn't been attached yet.
One more thing, on the inside of each leg, right below the knee on each replacement leg, there was a small control panel with perhaps 12 buttons and a small blue glowing screen. Almost like a pocket calculator attached to the side of the legs. I'm not sure what it's function actually was.

I'm beginning to think that awakening in hospitals after traumatic surgery/amputation is a new dream sign. I don't know why this is coming up, but I will have to remember to reality check when it does.

My parents had purchased me a special gift (I can't remember the occasion.) It turned out to be a self-parasailing kit that included a small boat that was remote controlled and a parasail. The idea was that you could turn the sport into a one man operation by flying on the parasail and driving the boat at the same time.
When my parents gave it to me, we were vacationing somewhere tropical and I was able to try it out on the ocean just by our hotel. But, not long after we left for home. Going home turned out to be a mess of plane flights and layovers. I was really impatient and wanted to use my self parasailing kit again, but wasn't able to, because... well we were in transit so much.

My backpack had been stolen from my car. All I can remember was that it looked very similar to the blue backpack that I normally use for my school books and sometimes use to carry my laptop computer when I visit family or friends.
I can't remember how I tracked it down. I think I had a large group of friends helping me, and we somehow knew the thief was not far off.

I've begun to realize that these sorts of dreams, (although to some people may seem extremely interesting.) Are boring to me.
You see the reason these dreams are boring is because I've had dozens of dreams like them already. It's like your subconscious telling the same joke ten times and you get bored with it. But there are a bunch of reasons these dreams are boring to me.
For one, none of these are very vivid. You will notice a distinct lack of detail in these. (At least in comparison to some of my DJ entries.)
Second, they don't have congruency. The story or plot of the dream isn't very clear. And if it is, It's a story to a dream that I've experienced before. Also important are the characters, who in my dreams, with the exception of Lia, my own dream guide are nearly always seem to be sort of drones ant are pre programmed to carry out tasks outside of their intended role in the dream.
Finnaly is creativity. These dreams may carry unique or creative aspects to them, but in all, they're not very unusual. There is a difference between creativity and randomness. I'm going to assume you understand the difference there. And these dreams actually do have some creativity to them. Not much, not in comparison to some of my dreams.
So the reason I seem bored with my dreams is because they don't contain any of the, the 3 C's we'll call it. Creativity,Clarity,Congruency. These are the keys to me having interesting dreams that I want to talk about.
