This is where I, RelicWraith, will report my dreams for others' (dis)pleasure. As this is only a supplementary journal for me, there may be some apparently misplaced and missing log entries. Similarly, I won't bore anyone with certain sets of meta-data (ie induction techniques used, dream signs, etc.), though I'll gladly reveal as much if asked. Furthermore, any name of personally known real life figures will be replaced with ever-changing aliases.

    1. Log 353 - Be The Flame

      by , 04-17-2016 at 03:46 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Sunday 17 April 2016

I could identify having many dreams today, but failed to remember most of these. One in particular was repeated numerous times throughout the night.

Dream 1 - Be The Flame

The visuals were somewhat dim. I found I was in the form of a candle's light, glowing red, feeling an odd sensation of constant warmth, near weightlessness, and near amorphousness. Dark smoke clouded the area above as I burned through the wick. Further below was the white candle itself. Everything past that was but pure darkness.

From the start, I knew of the dream state... somewhat. My dream form proclaimed as much, but I never fully understood the implications. Whatever the case, "I" had apparently recently accomplished all of my primary dream goals, all these supposedly represented as the smoke rising above me. There was nothing left for me to do, I thought. Nothing else, but to be the flame. It was a peaceful and happy experience.

This went on for a while until I awaken a few minutes later. I then have repeated instances of this dream, at least four or five of them, varying between being completely unaware, or having my dream form attesting to being in a dream once again.

      Scrap Group 1
Two dreams of wandering in a school, I think? One of these had me interacting with a blonde girl in her early-mid twenties. We've apparently met up via a lucid dream forum (a made up one, I believe). As we conversed on that topic, the girl gave a surprise peck on my lips, leaving me stammering, my cheeks glowing from both appreciation and embarrassment. Some of her hair got caught in my lips, which I pulled out. She intterupts me a few more times with more short kisses.

One dream where something overtly gory happened. A guy getting his head bit off by a monster, or something?

All these dreams took place after a WILD attempt, one being a DILD, three DIELDs, and one non-lucid dream in between. There was one dream before I first awakened, but my laziness caused me to only remember a fragment.

    3. Log 350 - A Lucid Tour

      by , 04-14-2016 at 06:39 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Thursday 14 April 2016

I remembered two dreams today, one DILD after a WILD attempt, and one before my first known awakening. However, at the moment, I only know of scraps for the latter.

      Scrap Group 1
Like yesterday, I ended up seeing a member from DreamViews in my dream. This was an androgynous person with long, black hair, a person that I assumed was JadeGreen. Later on, I spoke with my brother, Edwin, who lacked his dreads and beard. Then, a good portion of the dream revolved around a Sega Genesis game. Or rather, a black mega-cartridge filled with supposed "demos" of said games, as indicated from a red and black label, as well as a pamphlet that came with it. Of those listed in this brochure were all of the classic Sonic games (Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Knuckles). This cartridge was apparently shown in a private tech convention in the mid nineties, and indeed, a warning label stated it was illegal to have under any other circumstances. I hooked this up to a Genesis console, and played some fantasy beat-em-up game, not unlike the first Golden Axe, though more medieval fiction than Hyborian-esque.

      Dream 1 - A Lucid Tour

Scene 1 - Not the Best Spot to Sleep
The visuals were blurred. I woke up in the living room of unknown apartment. Lounging around in the area were my parents, as well as one or both of my brothers.

From the start, I felt uncomfortable and tired. I thus hadn't a care in laying down around or under odd places, starting with the carpeted floor. I later moved under a bar stool, and then under a table, where I dozed off for a bit.

When I awaken, I find myself squeezed under a leather couch. I became suspicious, enough so that my dream form understood the dream state, but not quite "me". Anyway, I had difficulty breathing, but I calmed down. From random thoughts, I tried giving amusing justifications for my predicament. Nothing of the sort occurred. I just simply drifted off again.

Then, I "woke up" once more, this time in my bedroom. Felt as if I've had a miserable sleep. So, I trudged to the master bedroom, seeing my brother, Mathias, walking out. I dropped on the bed, only to find, much to my disgust, that the sheets were damp. And yet, I somehow got too comfortable to think of moving. Heck, I even gambled on this helping me attain a lucid dream.

      The scene transitioned afterwards.

Scene 2 - Funnelled Into Awareness
The visuals were clear. I was in a lounge room, decorated by a few brown leather couches and some potted plants. A look out the window walls showed I was in the upper floors of a building, a full view of seaside cityscape outside. The skyscraper's spires pierced through storm clouds, all concealing a twilight sky. At a glance, I could note mom was nearby.

The dark clouds begin spinning rapidly. Within seconds, a narrow, straight funnel cloud descends to the ground. I somehow recalled having a similar dream just days before, and at that, became aware of my state. As such, I relaxed myself, and allowed the twister to do its work.

Those windows shatter, and I'm immediately sucked out of the building. Yet, I'm only dragged but a few meters before I'm simply falling to the streets below. I recover quickly, and glide ahead towards the ocean, all while enjoying the great view. For a few seconds, anyway, as I'm interrupted by landing much earlier than expected.

Suddenly, the surrounding structures crumble in plain view, while the sea recedes, if not evaporates entirely. All that's left is the clear blue sky, as well as a desert of white sand I was standing on. I fly ahead, catching sight of, and chasing, the drying ocean visible in the distance, curious as to where it takes me. There was an eerie lack of noise for a moment. Cue music playing in the background, an ambient, if somber piano piece.

Time moved much faster. Within the span of several seconds, I observed water, foliage, and even sand and clay structures come and go. It was as if I'd witnessed a cycle of the world ending and beginning anew.

Eventually, the visuals got very grainy. As new structures materialized, I noticed these having trite, blocky textures from Minecraft, the buildings being large, triangular roofed buildings constructed in an orderly array of sandstone, cobblestone, wood, and glass. Got annoyed at seeing as much, but at least these attained slightly more smoothed, less blocky textures in time.

The scenery vanished for a moment, though uttering for more time fixed that. A low resolution cityscape then formed ahead, the buildings made of yellow-brown stone material.

By then, I got a bit bored of this tour. So, I jumped right to conjuring up a more personally interesting sight, let's just say a woman to my taste. As I glance beside me, I'm surprised to see just as much in the distance. Yet, she appeared as animated in 3D, much like those ameteur "Poser" figures.

I very much wanted to get her attention. Unfortunately, as I followed her, the scenery collapsed instantly, and I awaken.

    4. Log 349 - Kinda a Venetian Galleass

      by , 04-14-2016 at 12:09 AM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Wednesday 13 April 2016

I attained a WILD state today, having many dreamlets in between, as well as one complete dream at the end. I also remembered a fairly long dream before the first awakening, one that I'm sure had me attain a lucid state (or at least a false lucid), but at this point, I only have fragments of it.

      Scrap Group 1
After a number of occurrences, I end up on the deck of a sail ship. There, I encounter a member from DreamViews (not sure who at the moment). Later, I speak with a disembodied head of an unknown bald guy. I become lucid at some point, or my dream form assumes as much.

      Dream 1 - Kinda a Venetian Galleass
My arms went numb, and stayed that way for several minutes. I'd assumed this was merely a transition state into a full dream, but a breath check proved I was indeed dreaming. The surprise awakened me briefly, but I promptly returned, and in deeper sleep, no less.

Various dreams formed within several minutes. One was a false awakening involving my sleep being interrupted by family members.

There were also a few afflictions of REM Atonia, from which I woke up with difficulty breathing. A particular instance even had me inside a cloth padded coffin. Despite this, unlike in my other suffocation hallucinations, I managed to convince myself to remain calm, and drifted off to sleep afterwards.

Eventually, I spent several rounds floating backwards in the void. In most cases, I attempted and failed to bring light and clarity in various ways, including by trying to remove my sleeping mask, focusing on a certain point, and just plain intention.

A few incidents involved some furries showing up, their faces contorted with perverted expressions. Enraged at the sight, I quickly began strangling each one by one, which, in turn, caused them to "poof" out of existence.

After a few more excursions, I finally have the mind to attempt... well, I'll leave this part for myself. Heheheh.... A little kink, is all.

Several more trips to the void occurred, until I finally assert myself to create a scenery. I try remembering the sailing dream above, imagining myself on the deck of a ship. In seconds, this takes forms as a low res image of as much. Next, I thought of ambient noises, which were produced instantly, sounds of creaking wood and crashing waves echoing all around me. Out of personal taste, I wanted this ship to be a galleass, which would mean it's partially oar powered. And just like that, I began hearing the rhythmic splashes and hoarse grunting of such activity below. A literal skeleton crew, I imagined, though I never saw any of that.

The environment became brighter and more solidified, though it still retained gritty visuals. Above me was a deep blue dawn sky behind storm clouds, while a vast grey ocean was all that lay below and the ship, the scenery aided by the scent and sensation of an omnipresent sea breeze.

My perspective discorporates a distance ahead and above of the ship. It seemed more a stout sailboat, like a cog, than a vast war galley. Furthermore, its details fluctuates in resolution, from choppy, to cartoony 3D (think early PSOne game quality), to quite realistic. A "map view", perhaps?

Anyway, the vessel was beset by rough tide. Quite rough, in fact, as the waves slammed right over the ship. Despite this, the ship pressed forward.

I start to wonder about this. "Huh. For a second, I thought it'd surely..."

Before I could finish that thought, the ship capsizes immediately.

"Boss!", shouts an unknown masculine, raspy, and seemingly dehydrated voice nearby. "We're going down!"

My viewpoint realigns itself, where I could see, feel, and taste that I'm submerged entirely in seawater, accidentally gulping down a copious amount of the stuff. I resurface and recover in short order. Now, I could see a small landmass ahead of me, a tiny island, with a disproportionately tall grey mountain in its center. "Looks like I'll find my 'White Whale' after all", I think to myself.

Unfortunately, the dream dissolves immediately afterwards.

    5. Log 348 - Bad News for a Delivery Guy

      by , 04-12-2016 at 03:48 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Tuesday 12 April 2016

Could only remember one dream today, the first dream of the day, and I'm pretty sure it's not in it's entirety. Kinda reluctant to post it, but it's been a bit since my last entry online, so what the hey.

Dream 1 - Bad News for a Delivery Guy

The visuals were dim and slightly blurred. I was entering an unknown apartment room, the poor lighting indicating dusk. It was kinda a mess, though the decorations and furniture seemed otherwise decent enough. My brother, Sebastian, was accompanying me.

Soon, I interacted with two figures inside. One was Sam, an old friend of mine, who hasn't changed since I last saw him many years ago. The other was an unknown, tanned skinned, dark haired Caribbean Hispanic woman, slightly fat, plain looking, and wearing a sundress. They've given me charge of a small, metal box, which I was to deliver. A look inside revealed a large portion of marijuana, already rolled up inside cigar paper. The woman promised me one of these joints (in addition to payment, I believe) should I complete the task. I accepted, though revealed nothing of how I wasn't interested in such things. My brother and I then left.

We were passing through a sidewalk by a shopping plaza, the car lots mostly empty, all under a dawn sky. I've apparently owned a white truck, class 6, much like a movers' truck.

Then, I recieved a call from an unknown, dark cased phone. On the other line was mom, who was sobbing and could barely speak. At that, I immediately felt glum; I knew exactly what she was going to say. Not willing to talk about it here. I began to wonder how such a terrible thing could happen so suddenly. That's when I realized the dream state, though I was much too embittered and enraged to think clearly.

"What the hell is this shit?!", I yell at my unconscious self. "I didn't need this!"

I wake up immediately afterwards in less than good spirits.

On the first of this month, I remembered about three or four dreams dreams, though I only remember scraps for most of these.

I managed to get a late WILD today. There were also fragments of various other dreams I remember, one before my first awakening, one before my LD attempts, and another that occured between those attempts. First one had me and my sister exiting a suburban apartment complex. The next one had me watching the 2012 Ninja Turtles cartoon, where an unusually large Splinter fights off a snake-formed Karai in the sewers, until he calms her down with a picture of her mother. Finally, another dream involved me, my sister, and my nephew watching what was supposedly an anime movie for the original Dragon Ball, though all I saw was a sentient steam roller flattening living furniture.

Got a DILD today, and even chained it into various scenes. Regretably, there's a bit of details I can't recall at the moment, but I think I still got the important stuff. Aside from that, I could also remember scraps from the endings of an earlier dream before the first awakening, something about humming "Surging Power" from Knuckles' Chaotix, and messing with a GUI.

I managed to get a DILD, and a vivid one at that. Aside from that, there were a number of dreams I could recall today, more than in recent times. Probably a side effect of my new WILD anchors. Anyway, I know I remembered scraps of a dream after the first awakening, but forgot that by now. Before the first dream below, I could somewhat remember being in a desolate urban shopping district, where I played 16-bit era video games. There was some interaction with a bizarre, monstrous woman, one with arthropodal features, whom I nonetheless treated as a friend. After a few other dreams, there was also something about Futurama, where Fry turned into some giant, hideous slime creature, and beckoned for Leela to let him eat her, the latter of whom became conflicted on the matter for some reason. Finally, there were also fragments related to being in an urban environment or cityscape, all of which influenced similar dreams listed below.

    14. Log 290 - WILD Feelings and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 02-14-2016 at 08:13 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Sunday 14 February 2016

Today, I managed to get into a few waking-dream states, one of which transitioned into a more complete dream scenario. Before that, prior to my first known awakening, I had a normal dream. There's more to the non-lucid portions of what's below, particularly in the scene within the second dream, but I don't know much of it now.

Dream 1 - Unnecessary Work Day

The visuals were dim. I was in a long, dark hallway, the construction of cement, hauling around a blue plastic cart full of cleaning supplies. This familiar object made me think I was back in my old job at the gas station, specifically in the back room, despite the area being much larger. Well, considering as much, I assumed I was tasked with cleaning the windshield washer containers.

During my walk, I encountered two former co-workers, Ricky and Maja, both dressed in the appropriate dark blue collared shirt and khaki uniform, and the latter having red-tinted black hair. There was some brief interaction, but I don't remember much of this.

After that, I head out to the store from the storage room, though by then, I lacked the cart. Anyway, I noticed there was a huge line forming, enough to reach all the way to the bathrooms. So I hurry to the registers to see if anyone needs help there. Once at the counters, I saw that both machines were already occupied, one serviced by my uncle, Hippolytos, and the other by an unknown, tanned skinned, dark haired Hispanic woman. Wasn't needed there, so I started my way out. My uncle calls out to me just then, telling me to fill in for him in a few minutes.

I don't recall much else until the dream ended.

      Dream 2 - WILD Feelings

      Scene 1 - A Typical WILD Initiation
I was in bed,I was in laying in bed, where I sensed a faint dizziness. So, I made an obstructed breath test, which indeed revealed I was in a (near) dream state. I soon noticed that I was sleeping with my covers over my head, and was also leaning on one of my hands. I tried not minding this much, until I suddenly felt short of breath, not to mention my hand going dead numb. And although I knew better than to heed this much, I eventually gave in, and forced myself awake.

Scene 2 - Spin It on Its Back!
Shortly afterwards, I found myself in a similar state, only this time, I made sure to sleep in a more appropriate position. Kinda drifted between this state and back, until I calmed down enough to anchor myself through my breaths.

From there, I tried moving around, but it seemed I was stuck. Even just imagining movement didn't seem to have any results. I then tried opening my "dream eyes", but aside from some faint, colorful flickering, I didn't notice any changes.

After waiting a while longer, I again attempted to imagine myself moving. This time, I could feel myself tilting just the slightest bit. So, I focused more intently, trying to force myself off the bed. I got far enough to do as much, but was suddenly thrust back into my bed by an unseen force. Furthermore, I was now spinning in place on my back. I rolled with that, and tried spinning faster and faster in hopes of transitioning, though I didn't really have a place in mind. It's perhaps for this reason, and that I probably went overboard on my intent, that I woke up abruptly.

Not that it mattered, for I found myself in the same state soon enough, albeit briefly, for I was transitioned immediately.

Scene 3 - Ignoring My Own Advice

The visuals were slightly blurred. I was standing within the courtyard of a complex of wide, short buildings, what I assumed was a school. Most had white walls and teal colored linings on the top, while at least one was painted peach. There might have been others around, but I ignored them. All this, visible from under a dawn sky. From the start, I retained awareness of my state.

I might have been to excited, for I thought nothing to just fly out of the place. But upon noticing the visuals deteriorating, I stopped, landing on the roof of the nearest building. For a moment, I thought I should be more careful, perhaps even deliberate, in my actions. There's so much possibilities, but I only have so much to consider... only to shrug this off and continue on my way without a care.

Now, I was cruising through an empty blue sky. By then, the visuals were very choppy, but I didn't mind, as I knew things would get better in time. Eventually, I noticed a row of tall, thin objects to my right, what seemed as ridiculously long picket fence posts. Their terrible, blocky resolution made it seem like dated 3D video game graphics, much like in Minecraft. I groaned at the thought of being in such a dream again, but on seeing the textures more resembling those of a PS1 era game than that, I let it slide.

Things get hazy for a moment, until I transition into another scene.

Scene 4 - Let's Not and Say We Did Play
The visuals were blurred. I was in my room, looking at a video playing on some computer (not sure if it was mine), the lighting indicating it was daytime. At this point, I lost awareness.

From the start, I identified the clip as a playthrough for an unknown game, some early era 16-bit arcade platformer action game, not unlike Ghosts and Goblins. Much of this had some armored hero guy chucking weapons at various monsters, all set in a brown mountain area under a monochrome blue sky. Apparently, something from this game was referenced by the cartoon show Rick and Morty, and so I watched eagerly for signs of this.

At one point, the hero fights the boss, a large, grey gargoyle. This creature switches between that and to a variety of shapes throughout the battle, including into a giant, demonic stone head, and an angry cloud of dust.

Around that point, my brother, Markuss, barges in, curious as to what I was watching. He seemed displeased at this video for religious reasons, getting slightly upset at seeing the fictional demon on screen. He was likewise offended when I muttered "Geez" at a close call in-game. I found this all quite wearying.

The video then crashes mid-way. I reloaded it again, but was quite upset at seeing it was replaced with a "Let's Play" of the same game, not helped that it was announced by some bored sounding, short of breath kid. I tried looking through various other clips, only to get similar results. From there, I couldn't help but yell various expletives to the screen, which, needless to say, weirded Brain out.

To assauge my frustrations, I decided to look for that "No, God, No!" scene from the Office in Youtube, all to better convey how I felt at the moment. Instead, I found a number of links to completely unrelated videos. I then tried looking through Google, but this proved most unhelpful, as my commands were being auto-filled with even more nonsense. I remember one having "Ashad's 'No, no, no!'", or somesuch, which only served to enrage me further.

"Who the fuck is Ashad?!", I ranted. "Fuck that! Fuck this guy!"

This only made Markuss even more concerned.

Not too certain what else happened until the dream ended.

The visuals were pretty clear. I was sitting in one of the back desks within a small classroom, a number of early highschool aged kids around me. The teacher, a dark haired, light skinned 50-something year old woman, was busy filling things out on her wooden desk. Built on the white wall behind her were a few shelves, each directly underneath a row of windows below the ceiling, dim sunlight peeking in.

This began with me working vigorously on some kind of writing assignment, which I eventually finish and turn in. Wasn't much to do then but look around at stuff.

At some point, two figures hurried inside. Both were wiry, bespectacled young girls, 10-12 years of age, and each with light skin and blonde hair. In fact, the two looked exactly identical. Anyway, the teacher ignored them as they ran around the classroom. Must have been her daughters?

A while later, the teacher begins returning composition notebooks back to the students. Upon handing mine, she claimed something of doodling too much and not keeping to task. I just knew I wasn't going to get graded well for this, and assumed I got lazy with homework to begin with. Still, I was confident that I'd finally rid myself of this course easily when I aced the exam. There was something on the teacher calling on specific students for some review, but I'm not sure.

After that, the teacher admitted to having no further lessons before the exam, which was about a week away. So she had us pass the time by watching movies on some black CRT TV screen on a rolling stand. But I wasn't to interested in that, instead taking my time to look through the notebook. There, I found some familiar doodles, the very ones my nephew and I have scribbled for fun. Did I turn in the wrong one, I wondered?

I then noticed those girls laying on the shelf, as if hiding for a game of hide and seek. The furniture didn't seem as if it would hold.

Things get a bit fuzzy for a while. I know I exit the classroom and wander the hallways for a while. Eventually, I find myself waiting in a long line, which I somehow knew was for entry to the cafeteria. The register was occupied with some tan skinned, spiky haired Asiatic guy, who was a bit impatient. When it was my turn, I fumbled to reach for my wallet, during which several others behind me were attended to first. I then paid in card, reaching for the pin pad next to me, but it seems this was charged in credit rather than debit. Likewise, I found it a bit odd at not having to sign for this. There was also some confusion on me having to tear off a long, bar-coded sticker for some reason, which I folded together to keep it from having it getting stuck in my pockets. Anyway, I felt I held the line up for long enough, and hurried along.

Inside was a relatively small, overcrowded cafeteria. There, I found yet another line, which I went to. I waited for a while, before noticing the time from a clock nearby. It was about ten minutes to ten, which I knew meant I hadn't much time before the next class.

Eventually, I arrived at the serving area, which was more as a buffet than a traditional lunchroom, with the customers serving their own food from glass-shielded counters. After grabbing a paper plate and a few plastic utensils, I noticed a variety of meat and tomato sauce stews, mostly chicken drumsticks, and one that I smelled as pork. But these seemed too watery, rubbery, and generally unappetizing, so I didn't take much of either. I then saw several kinds of pastry items, guava pastries and honey glazed filo meat pies amongst other types. I took as many different varieties of these as I could. There was also several kinds of desserts in the center of the room, including squared, whipped cream topped key lime tarts, but I hadn't time for that.

At that point, I noticed some kind of checkout area in the front. Realized this was where that sticker would come in handy, making me lament having folded it. I fumbled to take it out, and had further problems unsticking it. The attendant there, having had enough, just bade I continue on. It was kind of embarrassing.

Well, I rushed down to a seat and chomped down at the chicken, which was about as tasteless and poorly textured as I expected. I glanced at the clock to see I hadn't even a minute to spare. So I tried reaching for more, when I noticed I instead grabbed on to an orange handkerchief, which was apparently covering my plate. All very confusing. Anyway, I began scarfing down the guava pastry (which, I would admit, was especially tasty) and grabbing hold of the other stuff with my hands to run off with them. All with much reluctance, as I knew I never washed my hands earlier.

The dream fades as I hurry out the door.
