This is where I, RelicWraith, will report my dreams for others' (dis)pleasure. As this is only a supplementary journal for me, there may be some apparently misplaced and missing log entries. Similarly, I won't bore anyone with certain sets of meta-data (ie induction techniques used, dream signs, etc.), though I'll gladly reveal as much if asked. Furthermore, any name of personally known real life figures will be replaced with ever-changing aliases.

    1. Log 572 - November 2016 Advanced Task I

      by , 11-22-2016 at 04:29 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      EDIT: Typo. Actually Log 572
One brief WILD recalled today, along with a fragment from long before that. There's also a long duration of controlled hypnagogia, but I won't bore anyone with that stuff.

      Scrap Group 1
Playing Streets of Rogue. I'm doing a rescue mission, but my escortee is a moron and runs into danger. I don't bother saving them. Part of this has me within the game in first person perspective.

      Dream 1 - November 2016 Advanced Task I

WILD transition in bed. I waste no time flying out to the hallway, and stop to try Advanced Task I. There was resistance in peeking through the wooden floor, as in other attempts. What's more, my head would flash back to an erect position at times. Still, my persistence pays off. My head phases through. What I saw... was pure darkness. Big surprise...

A few seconds later, a tunnel exit appears in view. I'm approaching quickly. Once through, I drop down a sharp incline. I look around, and see I'm in a roller coaster ride. There wasn't any noise, making the experience less exciting than it should've been.

I awaken half a minute later.

    2. Log 564 - Phase Toss

      by , 11-04-2016 at 05:23 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
Got one DILD to note, as well as some highly vague fragments before that. I may have also achieved a TOTM.

      Scrap Group 1
In a beach with my family?

Something about a party in an unknown house.

      Dream 1 - Phase Toss

      Scene 1 - That Other Player's a Jerk

The visuals were a bit blurred. I falsely awaken on a wide, non-descript platform outdoors. Nothing but a clear blue sky was visible past its edges.

This starts with something gross and weird. I'd prefer to forget about that. Later, I wander around, and find rows of floating, cubical buildings constructed of light colored materials. These were mostly featureless, just some squared holes for windows and low-walled balconies. I made a wide jump to a ledge, when suddenly, some guy came out and punched me right off. Thus, I fall to my doom.

I "respawn", and figured this must be a game. Still, I was feeling unusually vengeful, and made numerous attempts at the guy's life. Yet, whenever I'd approach, he'd get the better of me and send me plummeting. I resort to punching holes into the walls and floor of his home while he was out of view purely to spite him. Somewhere between this petty griefing, I gain awareness. The scene distorts just as quickly.

Scene 2 - Ironic Vision ft. Zangief
Start in the void. My eyes were shut completely and refused to budge. Good thing I remembered to merely "see" past my lids. A new environment formed within seconds. Found myself in a room with a handful of people around me. Rows of pews were just ahead. Oh, a church. Indeed, some man was giving a religious speech in Spanish. Didn't concern myself with as much. I just floated around to look for more interesting things. It seemed no one else could see me. Just as well. The visuals blurred up momentarily, but "closing" my eyes even more fixed that.

Next, I turned to a wall decorated with picture/display frames. Just remembered the phasing task. First, I tried peeking though the walls, but some invisible force near them kept repelling me. Ditto when I tried floating through the ceiling. So, I looked for a way around this, when I noticed an imposing figure just beside me: Zangief from Street Fighter. That was unexpected. Still, I didn't hesitate to ask for help in this matter. He nods in agreement. In an instant, he lifts me by the back of my shirt, and tosses me right through the ceiling.

Now, I was cramped inside a small opening surrounded by wood constructions. Oops, too far, I only needed my head to go through. The ceiling was close enough, so I tried peeking through, and, this time, did so easily. Eh, not much to see. Past an air grate to the right, this was just a narrow, white, featureless enclosure.

    3. Log 526 - Hair Legs and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 10-07-2016 at 04:39 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
Managed to get a short DILD and WILD. There were various other dreams, at least two before the first awakening and a few others between the LDs, but I've only fragments or forgotten much of these now

      Scrap Group 1
An attractive older woman is hit on by a young guy, the latter flirting and teasing her on her age. The woman plays along.

Watching some Mortal Kombat story mode clip on TV. Kung Jin allies himself with an odd figure, a skinless, limp humanoid whom moved around solely by two spears impaled on his torso. Despite his macabre appearances, said creature was actually quite noble and heroic. They fight off some Tarkatans on a large junk. My brother, Dirk, arrives and watches with interest.

Dream 1 - Giant Parrot Harpy

The visuals were blurred. I was playing a top down 16-bit game set in a high tech metal base.

Reach a room with two Bloodtear Alchemists from Duelyst. Annoyingly, they zoned expertly to hurl fireballs at me, though I managed to take them down unscathed. On crossing a metal door, I cleared the stage, cued to the sound of a like jingle from the first Mega Man.

Unknown cut. I gain first person perspective. Just ending a boss fight with a gigantic parrot, its feathers bright green and pink. It was all but KO'd. I stood triumphantly on its head. Only needed to force feed it a huge grey jewel to win. The absurdity of my punching a crate-sized gem down a giant bird's throat made me realize the dream. Oh well, I went through with it anyway.

With that done, the creature began transforming. I hoped it would change into a pretty lady. In the end, it turned into a harpy of equally vast size, along with like colored wild hair and feathers. But her face was pleasant enough. Anyway, I climbed between her wooly hair, and ordered we depart.

The dream collapsed and ended as she took flight.

Obstinately waited for another dream. Between catching myself drifting on and off from sleep, I managed a WILD within about twenty minutes.

      Dream 2 - Hair Legs

A whirling sensation marked the start of a WILD. I concentrated on my breaths for a few minutes before starting.

Noticed I had trouble moving, and couldn't open my eyes, though I could at least roll around with some effort. I tried plummeting off my bed, but floated back against my will. Repeat half a dozen more times. I do a breath test, which seems to not work, but finding that I didn't wake up reassured me enough, and even granted me full mobility.

Still couldn't open my eyes. I remembered a suggestion of just looking through the lids, and, with surprising ease, managed to do as much. Things were still kinda blurry, though bright sunlight provided great lighting. After a few paces, I shrunk myself for the fun of it, reducing myself to just about 1ft in height. I wanted to see myself in the mirror, but was too small to see that above the dresser.

Just remembered the "walk with your head" task. Wait, so am I supposed to walk "using" my head, or walk around while carrying my (presumably detached) head? I settled on the former and hoped for the best. So, I started by attempting a handstand. Couldn't manage it, so I just layed on my back. Tried sliding around with my head, though it just felt as if I were floating backwards. With some concentration, I eventually noticed my hair actually formed into a pair of legs. Heh, what? Moved around back and forth on these flimsy new limbs for a minute or so before the dream collapsed.

    4. Log 520 - Reach In and Out and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 10-01-2016 at 06:23 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
Guess I should get back to posting here more often. Anyway, I got quite a number of dreams to note, including two DILDs, one non-LD, and two fragments. I'm pretty sure the full non-LD was at least two dreams, but I never detected any awakenings from them. Depending on how specific the criteria is, I might have also accomplished a TOTM task. Furthermore, I'll paraphrase the non-LD to save space.

      Scrap Group 1
Playing Duelyst, switching between Vetruvian and Vanar. I accrued consecutive losses, mostly due to my opponents having a plethora of high value gold cards. I complain about the "pay2win" model of trading card games to Marcus.

Dream 1 - Tournament, Wilderness, Shoes, and Work

      Scene 1 - Are Pocket TV's Still a Thing?
Game tournament in an assembly room. TV's on tables by the walls. Many people. My brother, Marcus is there. Encounter an old gaming bud, Mordecai, who'd a ridiculously tall blowout hairstyle. He almost cried for losing a money match. Some guy is watching a pocket TV, laughing. Shows me footage taking place on a dirt road overlooking a forest clearing at daytime. Colorful chicken and short, squat black cattle are there. An angry bull tackled a large rock, which rolled down and squashed one of the birds. Transition.

      Scene 2 - Wild Herds

At the clearing described above in the afternoon. Cattle there, along with many people and my brother. Reach a lake past some thickets, then went to a beach briefly. Walking back uphill. An agitated bull tackles some guy. It kicks and headbutts dirt. I try crawling away. Marcus alerted me to a herd of wild elephants that suddenly appeared. Some almost stepped on me. I scurry to the lake unscathed. Blacking out. Felt waves crashing on me. Worried I went too far. Transition.

      Scene 3 - I Knew Those Weren't My Shoes...
At home, going upstairs. Both Marcus and I are surprised I made it out of the previous conflict alive alive. See it's dawn out my bedroom window. Figured we didn't sleep. Female calls from below. Unknown woman with auburn hair and dressed in a dark blue uniform. Supposedly Marcus' girlfriend or wife. She's angry he stayed out and makes demands of him. In bedroom. Two pairs of shoes in doorway. One seemed as a pair of Converses I own, but they were black, too big, and had their soles intact. Very confused. Uncertain transition.

Scene 4 - No Admin Privileges
Back at my old job in the gas station. Different arrangements. Counters in the center formed as a circle. Newer computers, but antiquated Windows 98 software. Old boss, Michael, set up a profile for me. Unwittingly set me as an admin. I try correcting this, but have trouble. Another co-worker, Johanna, tried helping, but gives up quickly. Noticed a few odd names. One was "Amuth-", a cut off misspelling of "Amethyst", I thought. Muttered lewd joke of name under my breath. Found new co-workers behind me, all Hispanic women of varying ages. Finally corrected my profile by deleting and remaking the old one. Wake up.

      Scrap Group 2

Went up and down the wooden stairs of a narrow, unknown home. This directly relates to the dream below.

Dream 2 - Wonder What's in the Photo Album?

The visuals were slightly blurred. I was in similar home described a mess. Various boxes were scattered around.

Soon, I meet up with a white haired, bespectacled little old white haired lady. She was constantly squinting, hinting bad eyesight even with glasses. The lady beckons I follow her upstairs so I could see a photo album. But first, she asked me to clear a few things from the stairs, including various boxes and a filled laundry basket.

While moving these, a thin, dark haired, college aged Asian girl enters with a box full of random stuff, a supposed "friend" of mine. She seemed awfully grumpy. I wanted to introduce her, but forgot her name entirely. So, I nervously asked her if she'd a nickname, which merely earned me a deep glare. This somehow helped me figure out the dream state. "I know", I said, "I'll just call you [my Dream Guide], 'E' then." The girl rolled her eyes and ignored me. Somehow, I feel I shoulda known that from the beginning.

Then, a young female voice calls from upstairs. Oh, yeah, the photo album. Maybe there's something important worth looking at there. I creeped away from the other two. When I looked back, they were gone. That's weird... Oh, well. I was making my way upstairs, when the scenery began fading. Tried rubbing my hands, but that did little. The dream ended abruptly.

Dream 3 - Reach In and Out

The visuals were pretty clear. I was back at my old job at the gas station, this time appearing more or less as in reality. Johanna and Michael working behind the registers and cooking area, respectively. I gained awareness almost instantly.

First, I strolled around to thoroughly look at things. Seemed my co-workers were frustrated, so I just left them be. I took notice of the roller grill, which was placed where the hot drinks would be. Anyway, there were two sets of hot dogs in place, one pinkish, and the other deep red. I horked down the former kind. Needed salt. That's a first. The second type was a little spicier, but still kinda bland. Both types vanished with but a few bites.

Next, I moved on to bringing E by grasping behind me and calling out to her. I made numerous attempts in different parts of the store without results. I took a peak outside, where I saw a clear dawn. Noticed a line was forming, where I found a tall Asian lady that seemed an older version of the DC in the above dream. Where I should've identified her as my guide, I instead continued that previous hand trick. I felt something momentarily, but found nothing when I turned around.

Concurrently, I recalled the pocket task. I reached inside with my left, and felt something thin and flimsy. I pulled it out, and yep, it was a stick of gum, the wrapping quite worn out. So, I unwrapped and chewed it, this being of the stronger mint variety. Just then, some other random food item got stuck in between. This distracted me enough to destabilize the environment. I tried hand rubbing, but the dream ended abruptly.

    5. Log 505 - Silly Little DIELD and False Awakening Cycle and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 09-16-2016 at 07:12 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Friday 16 September 2016

One WILD and a DIELD/false awakening chain to note. Past that, and a non-lucid false awakening in between, I don't recall any other dreams, but who's complaining?

Dream 1 - Start Your Dreams With Minecraft... Or Not

A familiar dizzying sensation marked a successful WILD.

Made a quick call to my dream guide, E, but after half a minute, she wouldn't answer. Had to keep things moving without her.

I decided to transition via phasing. So, I floated up, then landed face-first on the white-covered mattress. There was resistance, but eventually, I went through.

Found myself floating in a blue-tinted wormhole. Oh, haven't seen this in a while. I muttered "deeper" to keep stable. After an exhilarating minute or so, I'm dropped off into a clear blue dawn sky. A look down revealed a hilled forest with the blocky textures of Minecraft. Eh, been there, done that. I flew around to wait out this environment. The visuals got crisper and brighter by the second.

      Then, the dream just collapsed.

      Scrap Group 1
False awakening in the master bedroom. My young niece, Iris, and my brother, Marcel, are nearby. The baby, as babies would do, dropped her sippy cup of milk on the pile of covers on the floor, making a damp mess.

Dream 2 - Silly Little DIELD and False Awakening Cycle

      Scene 1 - Chasing Wildlife
That dizzying sensation again. Yup, dreaming.

As before, I phased through the matress, noticing that I actually shrunk down to microscopic size as I did, and went back into the portal. While there, I called E, who again didn't answer. I asked for her to leave an obvious sign of her presence somewhere if she'll turn up later.

I landed within a coniferous forest. I was skeptical, but a closer look showed much better visuals, real life textures blended almost unrecognizeably with 3D computer graphics in between. Much better.

Floated around joyously for a while between some hedges and bushes. Eventually, I encounter various wild animals bunched up in a clearing. Some deer, a cougar, a couple of boars, and a bear or two. Got curious why they'd gather up like that, but decided it would be more fun to just chase them around. I flew at them, causing them to scurry away with a few stock growls and whimpers. So, I landed, and dashed at blurring speeds after the cougar and a few deer, going fast enough to not tell if I'd warped time or not. The visuals blurred up in between, during which I rubbed my hands to keep things stable.

Then, I stopped, and remembered the tail TOTM, but something distracted me. Ahead of me was a log cabin made of dark wood. I rubbed my hands in anticipation, not knowing what to expect. Things got brighter and more scenic. But, things just sort of fizzled away...

      Scene 2 - Egg TOTM - Take 1
False awakining in bed. I regained awareness in a moment's time, confirmed once I was able to see through my room past my dark grey covers.

As before, I flew around and tried to shrink and phase through something, the white ceiling this time. As I did, I remembered the egg TOTM. Thought it best to sound some appropriate music for the task. I chose track 6 from Dyna Brothers, which played almost instantly on its own. Anyway, an opaque, spherical white space soon wraps around me. Once I noticed, the area is filled up with tranparent, bubbly liquid. This must be it. I tried to both chop down and telekinetically smash the boundaries, but nothing seemed to happen.

      Cue an unknowing transition.

      Scene 3 - That's A Fancy New Room I've Got...
A series of non-lucid false awakenings. Each time, I'd wake up in a heavily altered version of my bedroom, complete with a hallway and its own bathroom. Some of my siblings and perhaps even my niece and nephew show up, the former speaking of some real life concerns.

Scene 4 - Getting Anchored in Bed Again
Another series of false awakenings from which I gained awareness. I repeatedly try floating and phasing into another place, only to end up back in bed. Each time, I'd try an alternate approach, such as using different walls or theme songs. One of these transitions are eventually successful.

      Scene 5 - Egg TOTM - Take 2
The visuals were slightly blurred. I was levitating over a river surround by forestry, all under a cloudy blue sky. Wasn't aware at first, until some whimsical Disney-esque music sounding in the background granted as much.

As I gazed down, I noticed a pile of round, leathery eggs in the water. Oh, right, the egg TOTM. This gave me an idea. I floated down, and found that I was only centimeters tall. Just as well. I tried individually swimming and phasing through several of them, but couldn't. The music "Mickey Moused" to tease at my unsuccessful attempts.

At a glance, I then found an even bigger, grander egg, this one uniquely covered in large, golden ridges. Oh, that's perfect! I launched myself towards there, and instantly found myself encased in a yellow-white enclosure. Things got a bit blurred, making me doubtful. Either way, I chopped the casing, which immediately cracked. Water and bright light filled the space. I "white out" for a moment.

When I come to, I'm floating down the surface of the river. Thought I screwed up for a second. When the visuals cleared up, I found a huge glop of egg whites and and a large, undisturbed yolk floating beside me. Heh, guess I got it after all.

      Another unwitting transition.

Scene 6 - Time To Wrap Things Up
False awakening in that aforementioned false room. I get up and float through the hallway, and up and over Marcel and Iris, who were in the area. As I land, I start cackling about the dreams I just had, and couldnt' wait to write them down. That's when I realized the dream wasn't quite over yet. As much as I hated to do so, I intentionally woke up to keep memory of the experience.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 16

There's about four dreams I remembered today, one DILD very early on, and three NLD later in my sleep. Most of said NLDs are scraps at this point.

      Dream 1 - Mystic Skirmish

Only remember the end. The visuals were a bit blurred. I was wandering in a fog-laden deciduous forest. Some forgotten event sparked lucidity minutes beforehand.

At one point, I start powering up DBZ-style, surrounding myself in a golden aura. Such energy allowed me to fly through the area with ease. Soon, I encounter a floating figure glowing with a similar halo, only blue. A member of Team Mystic, no doubt. This was a lady with dark, straight hair, and dressed in a ruffled, white and blue-lined ball gown. Furthermore, her eyes were obscured, whether by bangs or some other means. At the time, I remembered exactly who she was, but such knowledge has faded from memory...

We exchange some threatening remarks (more like ribbing, actually), and then engage in battle mid-air. Amusingly, all of our attacks mirrored each other, repelling us both away on each blow. On the third strike, we clash with a (literal) flying knee. We get locked in a sort of pushing match. Eventually, we extend into a full kick, the force of which blasts us hundreds, if not thousands, of yards away in opposite directions, well past eyeshot.

So, afterwards, I fall face-first on bare dirt. As I dust myself off, I start thinking of all the points I've racked up in this dream. Seems I had the funny idea that I've got some TOTMs done, but whether that was forgotten or just a false memory is difficult to say at the moment.

I awaken immediately afterwards. I'd doubts of my experience, but a quick (unwitting) DIELD allowed me to relive, and thus, reconfirm, pretty much all of what occurred.

Unintended WBTB turns into several hours without sleep. WILD attempts unsuccessful.

      Scrap Group 1
In a park with my brother, Gregory, my niece, Annette, and my nephew, Milo. I tell Milo a (false-memory) story of my getting swept backwards up a slide, this somehow caused by a storm. Gregory is certain I'd actually gone downwards.

False awakening in an unknown bedroom within an apartment. Mom and Gregory are around. I feel terribly ill, and rush to the unlit bathroom. Nausea ensues. Mom barges in, and complains of the mess I was making, though she did admit Gregory had it way worse when he was afflicted with this illness. I yelled at her to leave. When I turn on the light, I find the area's much bigger, and there were also numerous other toilets around. A sizeable group of people enter. I'm completely exposed to them all. So embarrassing. A boy points and laughs, and his mother tells him to hush up. I wonder why there weren't at least some partitions around. This may have linked to the next dream.

Dream 2 - Mutant Lizard Meat

The visuals were a bit blurred. I was scrounging around in the ruins of a downtown area. Clearly, a post-apocalyptic scene. Two other companions were with me, one an unknown dark haired woman, and the other a familiar acquaintance, if not one of my brothers.

All of us were hungry. In fact, we were literally reduced to eating crow, which we lured with rotted meat and killed with pointed sticks. I roast and eat one of such birds, which tasted like stale, unseasoned chicken. A while later, I get a bad stomach ache, though it passes. The woman, after doing the same, wasn't as fortunate. She complains of terrible pains behind her eyes and in her tongue. I asked if she'd cooked it properly. That's when she reveals it wasn't the crow causing this. Instead, it was meat from some (mentioned, but not seen) bipedal lizard-monster we'd killed at an earlier date that infected her. Figured this was merely curiosity on her part; our group wasn't THAT desperate. The woman's eyes start bulging up to inhuman degrees, and she claimed her tongue was growing far out of proportion. She must have been mutating.

Suddenly, a distant thundering shakes the ground. A glance at remote skyscrapers revealed the silhouette of a massive reptilian creature. Right, as if things needed to get more interesting...

Not much else happened until the dream ended.

Tired enough to go for an afternoon nap, but still couldn't sleep despite my exhaustion. Rats.

    7. Log 471 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 15

      Created Saturday 13 August 2016

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 15

Like yesterday, I'd two LDs occurring in the beginning and end of my sleep, respectively, only both were DILDs this time. There were numerous other dreams in between, but I've forgotten almost everything about them entirely by now.

Dream 1 - Not the Opponent I Was Looking For...

Only recall the end. The visuals were dim. I was on a tiled, fluorescent blue plane. This, I knew, was a live-action game of Duelyst. My opponent of forgotten description stood several paces away, and next to them was a Blaze Hound I controlled.

Eventually, I noticed the opponent was named Champa. I quickly remembered that name from DreamViews, and with that, gained lucidity. Figured he wasn't part of any team in the dream competition. Pity, but oh well. I buffed up my minion with a Scion's Second Wish, and had it attack for... decent damage.

The alarm immediately wakes me up afterwards.

Stayed up longer than I'd liked. WBTB. Intended for SSILD, but I fell asleep.

      Scrap Group 1
Vaguely recalled hanging out with a few friends.

Another WBTB. Made an SSILD attempt, but this kept me up for a long time. Switched to WILD attempt. Fell asleep, but I got a DILD.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 15

      Scene 1 - Thank's For the Head's Up, Tornado

The visuals were clear. I falsly awaken in bed, upset that I stayed up for too long without much results.

I get up, and look out the window, completely ignorant of the bare grassfield replacing my neighbors' homes. Instead, I took notice of some dire, pitch black storm clouds in the distance of an otherwise clear blue sky. These swirled around into a funnel. Oh, crap, a tornado! I could scarcely believe it. Actually, this all seemed very familiar... didn't I dream of such things before? As a reflex, I did a breath obstruction test, and, yep, I figured out I was indeed dreaming.

As I looked on, I had the urge to be in the skies. But then, I felt myself stirring in bed. Woulda lost my cool, had I not repeated "deeper" to keep stable. The visuals collapsed. I continued the mantra, until I'm transitioned.

      Scene 2 - Open Fire!

The visuals were clear. I was flying high above in a cloudy blue sky. Yes, just as I wanted!

Of course, I flew around carelessly to the breeze for a while. This made me realize I've not flown very fast before. So, after winding back, I launched myself forward at turbulent speeds, seeing the clouds zoom past me in tunnel vision. Got a bit dizzying, so I slowed a little.

Just recalled the airplane TOTM. I looked around for such, and hoped they'd show up from nowhere. And, just like that, I heard, and from my peripheral vision, saw, several combat jets flying overhead. But, I also heard machine guns firing, and was forced into evasive maneuvers. As I pressed onwards, some silvery, disk-nosed, Star Wars-esque fighter came in view, hovering in reverse at my pace. It fires a barrage of energy beams at me, each way off the mark. I flew over the cockpit. Through a shaded dome, I see the pilot, a man in an orange jumpsuit and modern day flight helmet (complete with visors and breathing apparatus). I pointed my hands at the guy to zap him. The pilot, in turn, frantically hits some dials, and in an instant, the craft flies away at warp speed.

I soon arrive over a wide, triangular metal platform, part of either a very tall or floating structure. Just then, numerous automated cannons pop up from hidden openings. A few bombard explosives at my direction, while several others start chargin their lasers. So, I sweep both my hands towards them, and from my palms emanates a volley of bullets to the distinct humming of machine guns. This stops the turrets' attack. I dive down in a dramatic three point landing, and, on cue, the cannons are blown to pieces. Furthermore, Scramble for the Core from Sonic Adventure 2 begins playing in the background. What an entrance!

While strutting along, a few more cannons arise. I shoot a few down, when I get concerned on whether guns would count for points. So, with a specific gesture, I fired brilliant blue sparks in a wide area*, which instantly disintegrated any baddies it touched.

Just then, I start losing grasp of the dream. I mutter my mantras, but to no avail. Time's up.

*Looked and sounded almost exactly like the second attack in this video

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 14

Today, I recalled two LDs,, each occurring very early and very late into my sleep, respectively. The last one was especially surprising in how much I control I had in it, doubly so given the bout of insomnia I was afflicted with today. Nothing else besides that.

      Dream 1 - Repelled a Valorous Ambush

Only remember the end of this. The visuals were very dim. I was in what seemed an altered version of my bedroom. An odd entity accompanied me, an illuminated, red, human-shaped silhouette the size of a child.

Suddenly, another such figure jumped in after the red being, only this one was adult sized and shone in white light. He was a member of Team Valor, I just knew it. In fact, I'm almost certain this was RelaxAndDream. In any case, his plan, I'm sure, was to take off with my unknown companion. However, he missed. With his ambush compromised, the enemy chose to flee empty-handed, and he vanished in a flash of light.

I suspected he jumped through time. So, in response, I called to the Time Gem to keep him in stasis. By this point, I'd caught on to the dream. But, just as I was about to seek out my opponent, I was awakened to a storm. Ah, crud.

WBTB after several other awakenings. A too thorough of an SSILD attempt turns into a few hours of sleeplessness.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 14

      Scene 1 - Surprising Stability
WILD transition within shut eyes. I'd a very weak grasp of the state, and had to seriously calm my nerves to barely keep things in check. To get things moving, I muttered "deeper" repeatedly in hopes of stabilizing and transitioning the dream. After seeing a few jumbled images, it worked as intended!

Scene 2 - Another Stroll Over the City
The visuals were bright and just slightly blurred. I was floating above a busy cityscape under a clear dawn sky.

I swoop down to get a better look at the streets below. The environment and objects swayed between dated 3D and realistic, including the vehicles, stop signs, pavement, and buildings. There was no sound at first. My voicing a few horns and humming motors fixed that.

Then, I'm not-entirely-willingly pulled out of there to a tour between the skylines in the area. Seen it all before, but another go wouldn't hurt. I'm eventually taken into the construction site of what could only be a vast, wide tower. This drags me near a few cement low walls and window frames. So, for quick points, I try phasing through the walls. At first, a force keeps me from diving in too deeply to do so, and simply takes me past the windows. It takes a bit of finagling to finally hit a wall, from which I clip right through without resistance. To assure myself, I do likewise through a complete wall.

      The visuals collapse. Re-anchor, re-stabilize- re-transition.

Scene 3 - A Somewhat Helpful, Monstrous Hand
Similar visuals as before. This took place over the waters of a seaside city at a bright day. I was just an observer.

The viewpoint scrolls horizontally over the water. It then focuses on what's clearly the Statue of Liberty in the middle of nowhere. Several distant shots and close-ups are made. Some 80's tune plays along with this as if a movie credits.

My mind drifts on bringing some huge monster for the heck of it. Suddenly, in some far-off place, such a thing emerges from the depths. This appeared as a gigantic, gaunt humanoid. Its skin had orange, chitinous plates, as well as other somewhat insectile features. Besides two tiny beads for eyes, its face was indiscernible. Furthermore, its left arm was much longer than the right one. The creature reaches its malformed, clawed hand to the "camera", and immediately pulls me into the dream. And, just as quickly, it tosses me to the horizon.

Had to restabilize. When I come to, I find I'm floating in the sea, the city barely visible far in the distance. Numerous others were there with me, including my siblings. Felt it was a casual swim, given how unperturbed everyone was. What's more, I heard Stone Man's theme from Mega Man - Power Fighters sounding in the background, to which I joyfully hummed along for a while.

From there, I thought to control the tides. I motioned and called for a huge wave to emerge. Soon, a sizeable wave arrived, probably about a dozen foot tall. It foamed up a bit, and dragged all of us towards it, only to simply lift us over without incident. Eh, so-so, but I wanted something BIG. I gestured for another one, and, just as requested, brought forth a huge tsunami of a wave. Where the others panicked, I looked on with contained joy.

Once it crashed down, the dream begins destabilizing. More re-stabilization. I witness various colorless images of my wandering some hallways. Eventually, I'm fully transitioned.

Scene 4 - Stop That, Whatever You Are
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was sitting in a small classroom. Couldn't really focus on much, as I needed to put full concentration on keeping the environment in place. Suddenly, something begins tugging at my toes. I'd various thoughts on what that could be. I try bringing as such to being, but this sensation was simply too distracting. This soon awakens me.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 13

Numerous dreams recalled today, including a surprise DILD at the end. However, besides the LD, all dreams today are just fragments.

      Scrap Group 1

Wandering in an urban environment. Go into dingy, a roach-infested apartment room. Meet up with a few familiar people there.

Uncle Gary talks about going from selling automobiles to owning online wholesale outlet. I wonder if he's even savvy enough to use a web browser.

At home. Various friends (including a fictional dark haired woman I've never seen before) and family members were there. I was embarrassed to be in my bedclothes. Went to laundry to look for shoes and shorts. I accidentally slammed into the dryer, causing others to shout at me. Overheard more guests arriving, and met up with even two more unfamiliar "familiar" figures. Later, two short, middle aged half-Asian people showed up. They rudely ignored everyone's greetings and walked straight to dad. Guess they were only there to visit him.

Some Steven Universe related dream. After many silly antics, Greg and Amethyst decide to get engaged. I wake up wondering why I'm still thinking of such things.

Watching a heavily re-edited version of the Nappa fight in DBZ Abridged. Nappa's Explosive Burst attack is far more destructive. As the others dodge, Chiaotzu is killed by Nappa tackling him.

More thorough, unintended WBTB. Took a while before I got to sleep.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 13

The visuals were clear. I was working at my old job in the gas station, out in the lots at a bright blue day.

A customer soon complains of identity theft occurring right from pump's card readers. I'm at a loss for words. On glancing at the display, I find a wire sticking out from within. I dread how this situation's gonna get handled.

I go into the convenience store, where it seems no one else was attending the lone customer there. As I'm heading to the register, I realized I've not worked there in a long time, and thus, gain lucidity. I calm down, and mutter "deeper" to anchor myself. At the registers, I see Gerardo and someone else lingering around. Both me and the former coldly greeted each other. I peek at the main register, and find the menu's a weird hybrid of the original and of the nearby lotto machine's interface. Almost got distracted with getting the sale done. As such, I walked out with no concerns of getting yelled at.

Once outside, I remembered that Infinity Gauntlet task I set for myself. So, I tried the basic remove/return hand from view trick, and, to my surprise, found the gauntlet donned on my hand... mostly, as it was partially faded in both sensation and visuals. Seemed only the green Soul and violet Space Gems were placed on it. I raised my fist, and called out for the Power Gem to summon it. Instead, the visuals immediately collapsed. I relax, and mutter "deeper" until the environment is restored. I repeated the summoning trick numerous other times, with fluctuating results, it's presence either getting weaker or stronger.

This went nowhere. So, I tried getting the Chaos Emeralds instead. Did the same trick, but nothing happened. I did so a few more times while sounding an appropriate jingle. In a few instances, when my hand returned, a bright jolt flew out of it, but no stone was there.

Tried another basic summoning attempt, this time for my dream guide, E. I reached back, and said "I know you're around here somewhere" to myself. I waited until I felt something. Once I did, I pulled whatever it was in view. What I got was a smaller, lighter-skinned hand, partially discorporated, and partially melded into my own. It twitched and moved around autonomously. Surely, just part of her form. Unnerved, I shook my hand until the other one vanished.

I cut that out, and walked down unfamiliar hilled street. Had to restabilize the dream, and I demanded the dream keep stable until I reached the top of the hill.

Then, I took a detour into a long, arborous apartment building entrance. Thought to phase through a tree. When I tried, I simply bumped into it. So, I pushed my hand on it, and waited to partially phase. Instead of that, scalding liquid seeped through tree. I reeled back. Better try somehwhere else. That red painted brick wall nearby seemed a good spot. I put hand on it, only to have similar liquid emerge. No matter. I continued onward. But then, to my horror, my skin began to melt. I yanked it out, and wondered how painful this all would have been if it were real.

Well, I tried again, and thought to melt myself purposefully as well. So, I placed my entire front side on wall, and felt myself slowly turning into melted flesh. This as taking far too long for comfort, and the disturbingly warm, sizzling sensation didn't help matters either. Abort! Abort!

      I wake up immediately afterwards

Very bad sleep again for certain reasons. There's about four dreams I could identify today. However, I've forgotten the first one entirely, and the other non-LD is but a fragment at the moment.

Overly long WBTB preceded this. Eventually, I go through a successful WILD.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 1

The visuals were blurred. I was falsely awakening in an unknown bedroom. From the start, I had awareness.

I floated off the bed, and tried levitating through the ceiling. Once I got there, I awaken immediately. I DIELD back in within minutes.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 2

A familiar dizzying sensation signaled a successful transition.

Before anything, I repeated "deeper" to keep anchored. With that done, I floated around again. This movement was a bit difficult to control Next, I looked for any sign of my dream guide's presence, but found none.

For quick points, I dropped sideways to the floor with the intent of phasing through. Due to the aforementioned difficulty, it took a very long time to reach there. Furthermore, I couldn't pass through at all. Luckily, I remembered Sivason's technique for correcting this. I placed my hand flat on the floor, and waited patiently until it partially phased. Then, I continued with the rest of me. This felt much like if one plunged themselves within a vast field of static electricity.

Seems I got taken to a grey void. I realized my left eye was closing shut against my will. Even trying to pry it open with both hands did little good. Figured this had to do with my sleeping sideways this time.

I awaken between trying to correct these visuals.

      Scrap Group 1

Adrian and I are discussing Duelyst. He feels the Mogwai's (incorrectly referred to as Wind Runner) card drawing ability is overpowered. I claim the Spelljammer is a superior choice, despite her drawing extra cards for both players.

Slept quite soundly today. Too soundly, as I drifted off each time I was recalling a dream. In the end, I'm only left with a few vague memories.

      Scrap Group 1
Soemthing about wandering in an urban environment.

Watching Dragon Ball Super. A female God of Destruction (similar to Beerus) gets angry at and fights with Whis. She grows giant and tries to eat him.

WBTB attempt at the end. Was far too alert to go back to sleep.

Fairly salty at today's results, including forgetting an entire DILD, not to mention all the trouble I had sleeping. Still, I did initiate two WILDs, one of which was chained into the other one. There's also some trash fragment later on as well.

      Scrap Group 1
An entire DILD gone missing when I first woke up very early in my sleep (stupid random waking thoughts...). Highly certain this included interactions with at least two upper tier Team Instinct members, among a bunch of other stuff. That's gonna cost me big points...

WBTB that unintentionally lasted for an hour and a half.

Dream 1 - WILD At Work

WILD transition. The visuals were blurred. I find myself at my old job, working the register. It was fairly busy.

My awareness drifted as I was attending the first customer, but I slowly realize my state. Even then, I preoccupied myself with the sale, all to see if I'd remembered how to get transactions done on that machine. I fumble and mess around a bit. The customer, frustrated, yells at me. I tell them to calm the hell down.

The dream ends shortly afterwards. I return to a WILD state within a five minute interval.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 10

A familiar dizzying sensation marks a successful WILD in bed.

The air from the AC suddenly turns into frigid wind. This reminded me of a previous dream where my dream guide, E was responsible for blowing as much. So, I looked around and called to her. Suddenly, the ghostly moan of a woman echoed in the gusts. I tried getting my (presumed) guide's attention, both verbally, and through a Codec call, but ultimately, I got neither a response nor found anyone around.

Afterwards, I floated around for a bit. This movement was a bit slow and unresponsive. I then fall backwards on the floor and phased right through. From there, I found myself in complete darkness, the area too dim to see whether I was actually downstairs, or in the void. I'd just remembered that previous phasing won't count for points. So, I kicked upwards, and in an instant, I was in my room again.

Hovered around a bit more before I thought to exit through the window. But, I misaim my trajectory, and slam myself headfirst into the wall. What's worse, my eyes were forced shut against my will. Still, I do end up outside, given the sunlight I saw glaring through my eyelids and felt on my skin. Several familiar voices sounded in the distance. These were of Rick and Morty, who were making some banter.

I'm yanked back in bed, and the dream ends immediately afterwards.

      Scrap Group 1
Some random celebrity gossip trivia crap.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 9

My recall was very poor today. Indeed, I'd forgotten much of all dreams today, including a DILD, as well as an entire dream. Part of this was intentional; I decided a good night's sleep was more important this time. In any case, each dream occurred before the first and last known awakenings, respectively.

Dream 1 - Teal Instinct Dude

The visuals were a bit blurred. All I remember was the end. I was playing Mega Man X, making a run through the metal forest stage. Somehow, I realize it's a dream. I end up summoning a Team Instinct member in-game (if only I could remember who; I only know this was a low-tier), who jumped in from off screen. They appeared as a teal armored, visored Reploid. My partner was very fragile, only able to take one hit before dying. But, the use of any special weapons (a few of which I'm sure were named after Magic - The Gathering cards) granted them a substantial temporary health boost.

      The dream ends shortly afterwards.

Unintended WBTB after an unsuccessful DIELD attempt. Took about 15 minutes. Fell asleep unwittingly.

      Scrap Group 1

Some Dragon Ball Z dream. Goku and a young Gohan are training. The latter is highly enraged, and attacks his father relentlessly. Cut. I'm wandering in some bleak NYC urban streets. Meet up with my brother Percy in an apartment room. I find my head is shaved. Go outside, where I run across a very wide, dangerous street. I almost got ran over for my trouble. I arrive at a town square. A couple in their early twenties walk ahead. Someone taps my shoulder. I suspect it was the guy ahead of me, and I yell at him, while he insults me. I'm still getting poked while he was way ahead. So, I warned I would kick whoever was behind me if they didn't show themselves. I turn around, and and am surprised to find it was Eustace, an old acquaintance of mine. I questioned his presence, while he wondered how I didn't know he lived and worked in NYC. There's an odd, violet reflection in his irises. As we're walking around a garden/fountain, I sit cross-legged and float around to show off. Pretty sure I was catching on to the dream, but the alarm's buzzing made short work of that.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 8

Terrible sleep last night. Strong intent and a restless mindset really don't combine well... Despite my lack of sleep, I did manage to have a number of dreams, at least five in total, (not counting that brief WILD entry), including one before my first awakening, several dreams during a bout of hours-long insomnia, and one WILD in between. I've forgotten one non-LD entirely by this point, while two of them are only fragments.

      Scrap Group 1
Something about Guilty Gear. Waking thoughts on Zappa's spirit orbs and ghost summons, particularly Raoh.

Intended a 45 minute WBTB, where I wasted half that time on trivia, and used the other half to keep the competition tasks in mind. Cue my not being able to sleep for a long time no matter how comfortable I got.

In a fancy party at an unknown place. My brother, Timothy, was with me. I encounter some friends and acquaintances in a dining room, all being part of my old D&D group, including Allen, "Eddy", and I think Jabir. They were starting a TTRPG session, but it was too late for me to join in. Several books were unrelated (one was for something called "Champions", and a few others were for differing editions of D&D). On asking, I'm told they were just using the artwork. Later, I wander in a reception room filled with well dressed men and women. People were filed in a big line to get appetizers. I saw my sister, Gisella was there. I thought to sample some food, but decided not to. Later, it was revealed that the food was charged at an exorbitant price.

Dream 1 - Top Gear - Armored Edition

A familiar sensation marked a successful WILD.

Through the darkness, an animated image was instantly formed. This seemed as a clip of the SNES racing game Top Gear (unrelated to the English show), background music included (track 4, I believe). However, instead of race cars, the player used tanks and armored vehicles. I took control of a tank. Several traffic barriers and armored trucks barricaded the road at times. In each of these instances, there would be a convenient ramp in place, which the tank could make use of somehow. It was either that, or plow right through at the cost of slowing oneself down.

The dream faded and ended in about two minutes.

Dream 2 - Magical Dwarven Studies

The visuals were blurred. I was in a very small and cramped classroom.n There was just enough space to occupy no more than ten other adolescent students, as well as the unknown female teacher's desk.

Soon, the teacher gave a lecture on Dwarf Fortress, of all things. We were tasked with finding the most productive location within a given generated 195 year old world. We'd access to some holographic device, of which displayed the entire game world in top-down 3D. This even showed the various hidden sites and structures (such as cave entrances), as well as the entire underground map. Furthermore, important figures and groups (including armies, Forgotten Beasts, Megabeasts, and Titans) were seen moving around as specifically colored points on the display (quite sure armies were yellow, and Forgotten Beasts were red). I zoomed in on a forest bordering a mountainside. Seemed a decent place to start, though several beasts regularly trekked around there, making for lots of potential "Fun".

Then, the game's regular ASCII embark menu is shown. From a survey, I notice said location had, between three intersecting biomes, many kinds of minerals in both the surface and deep underground, as well as some precious, precious flux stone. But, on using that other tool to scan underground, I find there's no sedimentary layer, and most of the metal veins are only within a very wide metamorphic layer. Bleh, that means no iron or steel, or even mineral coal. Best to find somewhere else.

In between this "classwork", the teacher hands the other students and I two chocolate chip cookies each. I immediately eat one and half of these. One happened to be white chocolate. Yummy!

Suddenly, an unknown emergency interrupts our "studies". The panicked teacher hurries us all into a nearby closet for safety. I then "remembered" having some (actually magical) Magic - The Gathering cards, of which I drew a good hand. One Sorcery looked as if it could immediately take care of the problem, but only if I'd sacrifice a permanent of mine. All I could think to remove were the cookies, but I doubted the spell would work with only a half-eaten portion. Oh, well. I sat there patiently to wait out the storm.

Not sure what else happened until the dream ended.

All these dreams occurred well into the morning. By this point, the non-LD's are scraps.

WBTB at 5:30 AM. Got distracted by trivia during it. This as meant to be 30-minutes, but discomfort in bed turned this into a two hour ordeal.

      Scrap Group 1

In a party at an unknown home. Wyatt's playing a trading card game with some kid. This may have lead to the next dream

      Dream 1 - Youthful Awareness

The visuals were blurred. I was in a larger version of my home's living room. There was a fancy party going on, what with all the guests donned in formal clothing. I quickly notice I'm only half my height, as if I were much younger. Thus, I gain awareness.

Soon, I overhear some familiar voices nearby. One sounded like my "cousin", Rosalinda, while the other was clearly Vera. Rosalinda leans to look down on me when I walk close to her. I try looking up at her face, but the environment starts destabalizing. A few slow breaths fixes this, and clarifies the visuals entirely. Now, I see she appears different, being too old and homely looking. I turn to Vera, who's noticeably younger. Both speak about me, but I only hear jibberish. I try responding, but lacked a voice.

Next, I wander around to look for my dream guide, E, but it seems there was no one that fit her description. The environment begins fading, and the dream ends a half minute later.

      Scrap Group 2
Doing some kind of Metal Gear Solid-esque sneaking mission inside a military base. Somehow, this relates to the next dream.

      Dream 2 - Monkey Business

The visuals were blurred. I was walking down a long, crowded stairs in an unknown facility, the walls of white cement.

At some intervals, I'd stop halfway to the next floor to jump all the way down to the landers. Someone gets annoyed at my delay, and I overheard him whisper he'll probably stomp on me if I stalled him further. No matter. I continued doing this until I reach to bottom. Said person, now frustrated, threatened he was pouncing in after me, but I evaded this in time.

I walked through a back door, only to immediately end up stepping out of the main entrance of a brown government building. Somehow, I remembered the previous LD, which sparks awareness.

As I descend some short, wide steps, I find two monkeys lingering at the bottom. One looks like a skinny baby chimp with a tail, while the other's a fairly large grey haired alpha baboon. Both bumble towards me, and gesture to hold my hand, to which I comply.

After a few paces, we immediately wander into a forest. The baby signals to get picked up. The baboon is visibly jealous as I did this. Anyway, the "chimp" kicks its legs and flails its in excitement as I lift it. In fact, it unintentionally scratched me pretty badly with its feet, and its pinky finger somehow gets lodged between my left eyelids. I try to gently remove it, only to have it clawed in deeper.

I immediately wake up momentarily feeling that pinky in my eye before it fades away.
