Thread: Dream Deaths?

The only lucid dream I've ever had ended in me falling off a desert cliff in a Wile E. Coyote manner. Sound effects and all. The falling deaths are the only ones I really remember.

I used to kill myself by landing on my head, resulting in a broken neck. This is how I learned how to Lucid Dream haha. Always got me out of those nightmares.

I love falling and dying, the rush of air and zero gravity feels amazing! I have never panicked when falling, which is cool.

The coolest death though, was definitely being turned into a vampire. The ecstacy, the warm feeling of my own blood going down my neck after being bitten by a very hot vampire leader.

Some dreams I had when I was younger-

Got eaten by an evil rocking horse
Got eaten by a huge shark that came into my house (UNFAIR as there was no water in sight)
Was in this forrest, people were running past me in a panic, there were these people in a car I asked them to help me but they just drove off (yeah thanks DCs), anyway saw what people were running from a HUGE brown bear, like bigger than a house, I saw it in he distance, I climbed up the trees and jumped from one to the other then landed on the ground, kept running as fast as I could... then tripped I was too scared to get up, I heard it approaching, I curled up in a ball and closed my eyes, then felt it's razor sharp claws dig into my back. Then woke up.


More recently, started off pretty normal for my dreams, was walking up to school, went to my friends house, we were about to leave when her dad came into the kitchen and started shooting us, he shot her and her brother then shot me in the back, i fell to the floor, he shot me again in the back a few times then in the head. But then we were alive again and escaped out of the window. For days afterwards I was a little scared of him in real life, even though he was perfectly nice and you know, not a killer

Also, some people were looking for me in a dream, so I jumped out of the window and pretended to be dead (so didn't get killed but sort of similar), then a brown sausage dog walked past and asked me what I was doing (as I was laying lifeless in the road), and I said "DO YOU MIND, I'M TRYING TO BE DEAD"

This is how I've died in my dreams. All, for some reason. have been seriously painful!
*Sliced my head dueling with some sword guy
*Gotten blown up in a flying hotel
*Spiked walls killed me
*Melted multiple times in one night in lava
And a bunch of others that I can't remember right now.

I remember being scared to sleep at one point or another when I was a teen because I had horrible nightmares and died in many of them.
The most common one was of being killed in various ways by Sarthaz the Beast. He was a demon/dragon like creature which I ended up writing a novella about
I have had wayyy too many drowning deaths.
Been shot, stabbed.
I don't think I've ever fallen to my death. I've dreamed of flying though my whole life and I love it (though I did go through a rough few years at one point).
Once, I dreamed of walking across a train trussel (sp!) and I was hit by the train and turned into a glob of goo. As the train went over me, I saw myself, realized I was quite dead lol and then woke up.
In another dream, I was the passenger in a car during a crash. The instant I landed, a train derailed and crushed my head. I woke to a horrible headache.

Almost all of my dreams are in third person, so I've seen them all as though watching a movie. I dream of being other people a LOT and in one dream, I character jumped every time I died. A primitive tribe was being slaughtered by a military group, but casualties were met on both sides and I experienced all the fear, anger, sympathy, raw hatred as I jumped. It was one of my more cherished dreams because it was so all encompassing.

I was never lucid in any of them, but as I died, I often became lucid then woke up.

Oh, and another time I "died" by falling out of a fairiswheel or however u spell that, or falling off the top bunk of a bed. It was really weird and now I have a weird fear of fariswheels.

I get drowned fairly often. At one point in time a guitarist from my favorite band drowned/choked me one night, then saved me from drowning the second night. Most recent death, I was kidnapped and slowly tortured to death. I think my final cause of death was blood loss or possibly just cause I lost the will to live. wonderful.

WOW. Those had to suck. If in my dream Ben Kasica (my favorite guitarist) killed me, I'd be sad. LOL

Last night I think I might have died for the first time in a lucid. There was an allien invasion and we humans were getting owned because the alliens were so smart and had such advanced technology. I was in a city and there were three alleins that were stronger than the others and had geneticly enginnered bat like wings. They flew around as they exterminated the panicked humans. I became lucid and knew I was the only one who could fight back so I attacked them with telekinesis. They flew away in formation and I flew after them. The leader one turned around and said to the others "a human who can fly without wings? Perhaps these humans hide secrets we did not forsee." I was flying at him yelling and rearing up to punch him when the allien raised his hand and there was a bright flash and then darkness. I woke up into a FA and I knew it was still asleep but it didn't feel like a normal FA. I was all ununfortable and distorted and then I woke up into a normal FA. I don't know if the allien killed me or if they took me alive for testing or something.

I've drowned several times, though usually I can breathe underwater and am quite the mutant mermaid. Not many death experiences, though I always die and become a ghost in the dreams. Don't think I've ever fallen. Think I committed suicide once out of pure curiosity. How I did it made no sense: I moved a cursed book.

I do remember being shot in the head by Cruella DeVil when I was a kid. It kind of stung, but I died before it could really hurt.

When I was younger (4-7ish) I would have dreams that I climbed to the very very top of the playground and would be on top when mr.anonymous would push me off, time would slow down as I got to the ground and would almost top as I was about 1cm away from hitting, then I'd wake up. So you could say I "Died" but it happened a lot, sometimes I wouldn't slow down, those were the scariest.

I have fallen from many things, including buildings and cliffs, and been shot. I was stabbed once as well but I cannot remember if I died or was just injured. Some of you have pretty creative ways of dying in your dreams!!

I was stabbed after killing like 6 henchmen...In the dream it hurt like crazy. Then I woke up....

I know this is kinda off topic, but haven't you ever woke up from a dream with your heart pounding and gasping for air. Everything we experience in a dream is real. Whether it's proven or not, I'm pretty sure someone old could get scared/excited to death from a dream.
Oh yeah, I usually fall to my death, but I have been killed by necromongers from riddick

only one dream i can remember really dieing and being dead and that was when I got cut with a chainsaw. Quick painless death because it went into my spinal cord. then I have died other times in dreams but i didnt really die in them like I did in that one. the dream just ended but in that one I was aware of being dead

I had a dream once where I was in a battle and we were fighting outside this building with a big bell tower. I look up to the top of the tower to see a sniper looking directly at me. I turn to my side to try and run but I was too late. The sniper's bullet goes straight through my neck and I fall to the ground. I start to feel my hands get wet and can also feel the blood pumping out of my body. Pretty soon the sounds of the battle become fainter, the light starts to fade but its OK, I was actually pretty calm and just thought "its time" and the world completly darkened but I was at complete peace.

I then woke up to one of the biggest "WTF" moments of my life and for the rest of the day kept touching the area of my neck that got hit in the dream. To this day I can point out exactly where I got shot, wierd right?

I had my first die/respawn dream today. I jumped off a cliff to reach a bench, but I missed and fell.

I only die in lucid dreams by flying recklessly and crashing into things. Two nights ago I was flying very fast over the school parking lot, showing off to my students, when I undershot and smacked into a bunch of trees and instantly woke up. I DEILD'ed back to the same place but it was a few years later for some reason. I asked if any of the students saw what had happened when I crashed into the trees. One older student said "Yeah, I was a freshman then." I asked him what happened. He said "We're not supposed to talk about it." I asked him why, and he replied "It wasn't pretty." Odd, huh? I have no idea what that was all about.

i only know 2

one is falling down out of randomness on spiky rocks

and to
beeing sucked to a car.. (yeh really weird but i died of it i think so)
both gave me the scared awake feeling.
you know when your reflexes think it really happens.

The only death posted so far that actually mattered/had repercussions.
