I have bee only recently enlightened that not all the times I thought I was in SP, was actually SP. I realized most of those times, they were just normal bodily sensations, and not necessarily true sleep paralysis. However, at rare times when I do experience sleep paralysis, and I am stricken with the inability to move as well as uncomfortable crushing feelings, I hear very disturbing things.
I would hear intense screaming by a child – really bloodcurdling yells for help. As well as banging on my walls and scratching on my doors. I would also hear chains being dragged across the floor right beside me. And almost always, I would hear a man whispering my name in my ear, and speaking incomprehensible jibberish.
I get the auditory hallucinations normally before sleep, though they seem to be much more extreme when I am in sleep paralysis.
