My first time becomming lucid happened about two years or so ago. It started with a false awakening. I had been do affirmations and reality checks for a while, and was really excited about the whole thing. I awoke and it was really bright in my room and my eyes were closed and it felt like my face was halfway under the covers. I decided to do a RC to see if I was really awake since I was getting in the habit of doing one every time I awoke. I did the breathing test to discover I was in fact still asleep and the sensation I had was unlike anything I ever feel in real life.
It was like butterflies (like when you're around that really cute guy/gurl and they're talking to you and you're nervous. Haha.) Only instead of the butterflies being centered in my tummy they were in my entire body, like I was made of air or something. It was the strangest thing I had ever felt, and amazing. My lucidity only lasted for a few seconds, I couldn't even get out of the bed. Haha. But that was my first one.
My first experience with anything dealing with "sleep" was a few weeks before I learned about lucid dreaming. I awoke to full body vibrations (amazing, the most coolest thing I've ever experienced!!!) and to see this amazing most beautiful purple sliver blobs and swirls of color on my ceiling, with electricity shooting through it. Had I known anything about lucid dreaming I would have realized that I was seeing hynagogic (however you spell it) imagery and a transition into dreamland. It was the most amazing thing ever. Out of my WILD attempts and what not, I have never seen nor heard, nor felt anything like that. In fact, I never see anything, just black. Sooo, though that was long-winded that was my first. Haha.
