1. go to a door and expect them to be on the other side and when you open it they will be right there.

2. what ever you expect it to do. I.E. help you with lucid powers, help you get lucid, or be totally unhelpful.

3. it depends on the person. Personally I believe mine will be my spirit animal, I just haven't found him/her yet so I don't know for sure.

well i think your spirit animal would be a fox(i can see you like them) and i heard that if you have some sort of connection to a type aof animal, it will be your spirit animal.

There are many ways to find your Dream Guide. You can try summoning him/her/it. You can also try the door method that mustbe18 said. You can also try plot devices, or simply walk up to a dream character and ask him/her/it if that is your Dream Guide.

Your Dream Guide is supposed to know more about you than you do yourself...so try asking them all sorts of questions.

Dream Guides can do pretty much anything I believe. Their called Dream Guides because their supposed to guide you through your dream and help you do things within the dream.

I heard that Spirit Guide and Dream Guide are the same thing. I would guess that you could have a Spirit Animal as your Dream Guide. Remember, you can always change the way your Dream Guide looks if you want. You just have to have good control.

My DG was just a fat DC who walked up and asked me if I was lucid. I said yes, and he said that he was an unemployed Dream Guide and would I like a Dream Guide. I said sure, but laughed so hard I woke up. I DEILDed back in and found him again. He took me to a really awesome amusement park, but I haven't met him again.

how do you know its your dream guide? You just know, pretty simple.

what does it do? Helps with lucidity and self-problems, or whatever you expect it to do.

is it your spirit animal? Depends on beliefs.

everyone thinks their spiritual guide is a fox, wolf, coyote or sumthing real cliche like that. when you meet him/her/them, you'll definitely know. don't give up, just keep lookin.

My dream guide came without me looking for her. She talks to me about what I should do in real life situations. I found a copy of her in real life and I don't know what I should do.

how do you find your dream guide?: I found Naira when I was 10ish. She appeared, and there was just something different about her.... Other than the fact that she is a tiger that is LITERALLY on fire.

how do you know its your dream guide?: There's something different about her. She has a different appeal then the rest of my DCs.

what does it do? IT?! YOU CALLING HER AN IT?!?!!?!? She helps me through the dreamscape. I don't really need that anymore, so she is more of a companion now.

I suggest you DO NOT talk to the copy in real life.

She will think you are insane... And you know what happens when they think you are insane?

Interesting thread.

I believe I've found mine but every time I become lucid and ask her she laughs and escapes. The first time I met her in a run down train station I found her pretty attractive, but in a different way. Like I had known her for a really long time. She stole my gun, laughed, and I had a long lucid chase through the station that ended in her slamming a door in my face. I opened it and a different dream laid beyond, as if she had changed the dream herself.

Second time was an old factory that had been infested by alien bugs. By the end, four of my squad had been infested and the bugs were controlling them, making them hunt us. I found myself locked in a fierce fist fight with a large infested that had been in my squad. I parried a few of his punches then finally managed to get my gun under his chin. As I looked up smuggly knowing I had bested him, I found the pink girl looking back at me instead. She yelled "Touche!" then blew her own head off as laughter bounced around the room.

Most recently I had a dream about a New Years party, and as I became lucid the girl I was dancing with in a club became her. I told her to cut the sh*t and tell me if she was my dream guide, and once again she giggled and slipped into the crowd.

Getting frustrated, haha.

Has anyone else experienced resistance from their DG? Like a hard-to-get shtick?

I think our guides are watching us. They will reveal themselves when we are ready. Ready to meet them and ready to learn what they have to teach us. And if they like what we do.

Thats really interesting Gab... I tend to be overly sexual which could definitely be seen as a fault. Why would she show herself if she just thought I was gonna try something... hm wow. But yea often times my lucids turn into me grabbing the first person I see, Epic. Ill make it my new lucid resolution to do nothing sexual and see what happens!

I think everyone has a dream guide, you just have to be willing and able to find them. Some people are very good lucid dreamers, but have no desire to find them, so they don't show themselves. And many want to find them, but aren't able to because they can't hold lucidity long enough.

There is no science behind it yet, so these are just my own beliefs. But I think DG's are the embodiment of your dream subconscious, which everyone has.
