Hey all. Just wanted to introduce myself and I'll try to keep this relatively brief! I experienced my first lucid dream about a year or two ago. It was an absolutely incredible feeling realizing that I was dreaming because this occurred before I had any knowledge or understanding of what being lucid actually was about! I had no idea that such a thing was possible.
Fast forward to about two weeks ago, I had my second lucid dream. Now this is what really sparked my interest in attaining lucidity, practicing, etc, and made me take the process very seriously.
I just started taking Choline Bitartrate tablets last night for the first time and I will describe my experience which I ended up waking myself from because it was overwhelming and I didn't know what to expect. I want to try again tonight, but I want to do it right.
I went to sleep at 2 AM yesterday. I took the tablet as soon as I layed down and within five to ten minutes my feet were completely numb. I couldn't feel my sheets touching the majority of my body and slowly all of my limbs were going numb as well. I felt a tingling sensation all over and any sounds I could hear in my room, such as my ceiling fan, became more and more distant almost to the point of not being able to hear anything. During the entire experience my mind was very much conscious and fairly alert and awake. My breathing became more prominent as far as it being all I could hear and it was fairly loud.
My question is, had I not woke myself up, was I doing it right? And what should I expect or try to do this time around to possibly achieve lucidity or consciously enter a dream state? Any help is appreciated as I am about to go to bed shortly. Thanks!
