I had an awesome night last night; went mini-golfing with my boyfriend for a couple hours, then went to his house, then saw a movie...

But after that, I had a really crappy time. I wasn't really keeping track of the time while I was out and when I finally got home, I realized it was 11:30. This really sucked, because I still had almost a whole English paper to write. I was up until one in the morning, then I had to get up at six for school. I literally fell asleep in class for a few moments and that was really embarrassing.

I was watching videos on youtube and came across a really cute video of a Raccoon dog... They're dogs that look like, well, raccoons. I then clicked another link and ended up reading an article about how those animals are skinned alive to make imitation Ugg boots. There was a horrific video at the end of this article and I almost got sick. I cried for like ten minutes non-stop. I'm absolutely disgusted and appalled at how these animals were treated. And so many people buy these boots... It makes me sad.

That's horrible!

I was gonna write about how I hate my life right now but then I got a like and feel better.

Tried to study (it's still the Summer holidays here in Australia) but ended up getting a headache. I always seem to get a light headache when studying.. I think I might need reading glasses.

I think I might leave dv and completely fall into the abyss just to see where I go. If I'm not back in a week, I've succumbed to the event horizon.

But... Rice Krispies Treats! What happened to the happy-or-cheerful-ness?

Alas, rice krispies treats were only a fleeting escape... I must accept my real fate now.

Well, if you do leave DV for a week, I hope you find what you're looking for. We'll be waiting for you to get back! Don't give in to the event horizon. Depression is terrible and leads nowhere good.

This isn't really a rant etc. per se, it is a bit of a complain, but just following up on a previous post....

I've pretty much figured out I definitely need to do an apprenticeship. I wish I has just done one earlier now.
Seems it's a lot easier for 16 year olds to get them than older people. I'm only 22 but I think it means they need to pay higher wages.
Although it is definitely still possible and a lot of people start them later than me.

I have decided on either carpentry or electrical. Electrical seems to have less typical tradies doing it, (i.e a bit smarter, less "blokey" etc.) however I have always
liked building stuff, even though it's only been smaller things, I reckon carpentry could actually be really fun.
I might start a thread about this to get input/experience(yeah right, how many tradies LD? haha ) etc. unless you guys wanna devote the next few pages to helping me figure this shit out lol

You can't do general contracting? Most contractors deal with electrical and carpentry around these parts... (my grandfather, uncle, etc.) If you can learn both skills from a contractor, you could continue in either field eh?

Hmmmm, do you mean like labourers? That's the closest thing to what you describe that I can think of here.
I guess I could do that first, and see how I like both of them. That's actually a pretty good idea, but I'm going to need to get a lot fitter first
