My brother has a similar problem now, only he came to West Virginia from Florida (Pensacola). He's currently staying at a shelter from 6PM-8AM. They kick out the non-residents at 8AM.
I hope you find someplace safe.

My only rant is that I've run out of steam. Actually, I never did have any at all today lol. I slept from 6AM-1PM then I went back to sleep from around 3-6PM. I'm still tired.
At Walmart earlier, I had a weird pain that felt like the beginning of a gallbladder attack. But that's no longer an issue so maybe it's my ulcer or gas. Or maybe it was anxiety because I've not had any issues since being home.
My cigarettes have been tasting like crap to me, but that's a good thing seeing how I'm going to try to quit again tomorrow.

I would loan you Death Note, but the Hunger Games series belongs to my son. I can't loan that out.

      Good luck!

My son complained about eating cake. He actually complained that I was giving him cake.
Can't we have something with nutritional value?!
After eating like crazy all weekend long, and even eating a load of barbecue provided by the scoutmaster, he actually complained about eating cake.

      I have no son.

My judgement on the Hunger Games comes from reading about 25% of the first book, but it's enough to get the jist. Yes, it is like Battle Royale to a degree. Not just that, but many "games of death" books, film and video games preempted this insanely popular series as well as countless dystopian government stories. The problem isn't that it exists, it's that many of its loyal fans seem to describe it as a godsend of originality, having likely overlooked many of the fine works it built upon. I could even tolerate this much if the reading level and size of the font (double spaced) didn't shout out "book for light readers" on every page. I realize there are still older themes--I've gotten far enough to see some very interesting things happen--but the narration is at times unnecessarily simplistic (Today's author mantra is "make it simple," I say, okay, it probably sells real well, but I'm still going to go read some 19th century novels when things were more intricately articulated).

Probably came off too harsh on the ol' story, eh? Maybe I'll give it a second attempt eventually.

Well it is a story aimed at teens, not adults. So, yeah, it's going to be an easier read than 19th century novels. It may not be SUPER original, but it is a GREAT story with many twists that keep you on your feet. Once you get into its hard to stop. You feel so many emotions while reading it, which is what makes it a good story...not the fancy wording.

thanks. i spent my nights and early mornings walking around or staring at nothing. i was too afarid to fall asleep or go into a shelter because all the stuff i carried with me may end up stolen when i wake up. i ended up sleeping at the beach in the late mornings. all the crazy people come out late nights and early mornings. it was only for 2 days so it wasn't that bad.

So, forgive me if I've missed something, but I never did see how you ended up in this position. May I ask what happened?

I recall you saying you went from a place to the streets, to a resort, to the bronx...but how did this start? And how are you posting here?

i was 2 months behind in rent so i ended up on the streets because i could no longer afford to pay rent. i packed up a few things including my labtop computer. on the second day i ended up at a barnes and nobles bookstore speaking to a relative online saying they can help me out. so they paid for me to stay at a hotel until they can get an airline ticket over there in new york. so now i'm there but need to fly back to settle a court dispute with my landlord.

I don't think very many people actually like me. I don't think that they dislike me, but they never realy seem to want to be friends. I can guess what part of the problem is; I probably come across as some kind of know-it-all. I am the kind of guy who was allways scoring in the 98+ percential on standardized tests, but that is not my fault. I also have put way to much time and practice into lucid dreaming, internal yoga and martial arts. I am not so much a geek or nerd, thats not really it. I have always been able to have nice girlfriends, but that is a differant kind of relationship. I wish I could come across as approachable and not such a know-it-all.

Holy crap! That's awesome! What kind of car do you have?
I was actually pondering how this would be done the other day lol
Also wondering if it could just dim out the really bright parts, but leave the rest normal. Like maybe using that glass that reacts to light and goes tinted. But it would have to be really quick to react coz the lights/reflections from sun move around.
      Must research this.

Sivason, just try being nice. I'm not sure if you are or not. I was always the kid known as that smart one in school too.
But because I was fairly nice (well, I smile a lot anyway, don't talk much) people didn't see me as a "know it all" or a "teachers pet" etc.
Your facial expressions say more than what you actually verbally say. So if you tell someone something, make sure you're not looking at them like they're an idiot. Also make sure you don't have a blank expression on your face, coz I've found people interpret that as you think they are an idiot. lol

Oh.... and I fucking had wayyyy to much caffeine. I feel shit lol Not too bad now actually, but felt horrible just before.
It was this energy drink from ALDI that is like 3-4 coffees worth of caffeine. faaaark. Had to have some Chinese green tea which is high in Theanine which counteracts the jitteriness a bit. So lucky I bought that too lol

My rant is also an anti-rant. Meesha is too stinkin cute. I picked her up and gave her some attention. She loves lunging for my neck. She likes chewing on my necklace, so I flip it behind my neck, but then she chews on the string. And she REALLY seems to hate my lips. When I talk to her, she tries biting them off. I've never before had a puppy who was such an insufferable biter/chewer. My normal tricks just don't work on her, so I pop her nose a lot and say "no" way too often
I'm also weird. I like to pee outside when it's dark. But Meesha wants to try to stick her nose into the stream

Earlier, I took about a four hour nap. My little heater was going full blast and I was covered with 4 blankets and so was Cocoa. I woke up because her ear kept tickling my face. She was panting like mad so her head sort of bobbed with each breath. That dog enjoys heat a little too much if she'll suffer a heat stroke rather than move.

And Rocky attacked his son earlier. I let all of them outside and Snuffanuff was waging his tail, kept licking his dad's face and sort of bumping into him wanting to play. Rocky let out a deep growl and put him to the ground. Snuffanuff looked so depressed. He just staggered off the porch hunched over with his tail between his legs. But now they're best friends again
And Cocoa and Meesha play strangely (to me anyhow). I've seen other dogs doing this, but I just don't understand. They put their butts next to each others and then they lunge for each others sides and underbellies. And they go in circles doing it, always keeping their butts together as if that's the rule for distances or something.

Thanks for the reply Ges, nice to hear someone else agrees with me. I don't necessarily hate plagiarism (otherwise we wouldn't be able to build on each others' ideas), but I do hate it when a great original idea (Battle Royale) is ripped off and then people praise the rip-off for its originality.

Ugh, I slept way too much yesterday. I ended up going back to sleep at around 3AM-7:30. I tossed and turned and woke myself from a spooky dream.
I woke to the stench of poo and thought the puppy had an accident. Nope, my boy was in the bathroom lol

I'm very hungry. About to go get McD's breakfast.

You do have the girl's phone number right to hopefully make her pay for the damage? Because you shouldn't be blamed for this if it was the girl being careless.

Owch man, hopefully the girl isn't hot and won't show her breasts to authorities to give herself a one-up.

      Either way, wish you luck.

That fucked. I wonder if they'll figure it out. Hopefully there were cameras or something.
I've been lucky with my car accidents, both times the people admitted it was their fault.
Hope it works out for you man! If not, there are always the wreckers, you can get pretty much as-new doors and stuff there for pretty cheap.
So.... STOP PANIC! It will all be okay.

I had a dream last night that I was back in school or some company which felt like a school.
My female boss IRL was the teacher, and we were doing this project for some company. I think building a game or something.
We got given little tasks each, simple ones since we were just starting it, concept design and stuff. I got given a sheet that said to
just draw some sketches of some thing within the game. Most basic thing ever. But I just couldn't be fucked doing it.

This made me feel pretty shit when I woke up, at having studied art for 5 years or so when I obviously don't even have any inclination toward
doing it as a job, when I don't even enjoy these simply tasks which should be fun and freeing. I don't really regret it that much, because
I was such a close minded person before I happened upon painting and Cannabis. I didn't see any point in art at all, and never bothered presenting my work well
because I figured the work spoke for itself, "I don't need to put a drawing or a nicely designed cover sheet on my maths homework. It says nothing about my actual equations".
I used to say something along those lines to my teachers/parents.
I still do agree with that though, completely haha But art has its place for sure, it makes our lives less boring, brightens up the dull brick wall and
even helps portray science to the public better than just words.
There was also just general open mindedness to things other than proven facts. And admitting that even those facts could be wrong etc. etc.

I just feel like it was a long lesson to learn and I've made my next journey a lot harder for myself.

On the upside, my other boss was in the dream too, he was in the class and was sitting next to me. He was saying some stupid shit like usual and said something
that really irritated me and I just got up and said "GET FUCKED! IF YOU EVEN TALK TO ME ONE MORE TIME I'M GONNA BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!" But then I rephrased and was like
"I'LL GET ANYBODY I KNOW TO COME AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU! SERIOUSLY YOU'RE AN IDIOT" He was scared and back down. And I sat somewhere else.

      Felt good man

I was actually pondering how this would be done the other day lol
Also wondering if it could just dim out the really bright parts, but leave the rest normal. Like maybe using that glass that reacts to light and goes tinted. But it would have to be really quick to react coz the lights/reflections from sun move around.
      Must research this.
I drive a 2010 GMC Acadia SLT. The dimming rear-view mirror is a nice feature. It might be connected to the back-up camera, not sure.

I sure hope you called the police or they were on scene. If not, chances are you will pay your deductible and never see any benefit.

A few years back I was driving in my Pontiac Grand Prix. A man from the Dallas area turned in to my side, right along the passenger doors. At the time he admitted fault and I took pics of everything, but we never called the police. When he reported the incident he claimed it was my fault. Because there was no police report it became his word against mine. His insurance never paid a dime. I paid my deductible and had to have my door replaced and the I-frame that connects to the door replaced because it was bent.

      Lesson: ALWAYS CALL THE POLICE.

Sitting around drinking by yourself.. that's kinda sad, isn't it? Truth to be told I'd rather get high, but that would require something to get high on...
