Crashy, people can't take advantage of you unless you allow them to me. Well unless they are blackmailing you lol. So yeah, there's some food for thought bro.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. But whenever they ask me to do something for them, I just say yes. 'Cause if I don't, they usually get mad at me or keep arguing about it until I give in.

When people do that to me I either tell them fuck you or just ignore them.

I'll be completely bro-love honest here. I think it's puss if you do that man, when you say no it's no. I totally get you, I used to be like that as well when I was a bit younger. This sort of thing can also go in reverse, I guess it's about demonstrating your social value. Today I was at the gym and my I picked up my friend's water, he told me not to drink it in a semi-aggressive tone. He was probaly acting tough cus another male was training with us who we do not know so well. I then proceeded to drink the water while staring him in the eye. I let him drink my water too.

The message that I'm trying to convey is that people constantly test you on an unconscious level (especially women lol but that's for another time), and when you comply to other people all the time without them complying to you, that's when people start losing respect for you. Whenever someone offers me something I can't give them back I turn it down as well, but hey... that's just my man code.

On another note, it's amazing how the human mind works really. I felt like shit this morning, but now I feel great. I saw this girl in the train today and she looked at me a bit longer than people usually do. I smile at the right moment she looks away, and she looks back at me. My heart started pounding. Afterwards she 'threw' her hair, you know I'm saying? She must've done it like five consecutive times (I could tell, since the human eye tracks movement from the corner of your field sight). So I'm thinking to myself did she do that to make herself more attractive to me, or was it just you know... random? I should've tried making eye contact again.
When does a stranger ever smile at you? It's really uncommon, I feel good about doing that.

As you can tell I'm really into the subconscious mind.

Crashyy, I was like you when I was your age. It was hard for me to say no to someone, especially to friends. Eventually I learnt to refuse, and some were surprised and angry with my change of attitude. But it did me good. People don't take me for granted anymore.

Totally agree with your view on this. Mind elaborating on the women thing? Could be interesting to get your take on that stuff.

Exactly right. People will comment that you're a different person and all kinds of stuff, when you learn to stand up for yourself.
Truth is they just like having someone who will do anything they ask. When they suddenly can't have any power over you, they get very angry because it dents their ego.

I used to be shy and socially anxious etc. and as soon as I started improving myself and getting better, I also started becoming for assertive, because it's healthy for your mind. People called me an asshole and said I'm a bad person etc.
Fuck them. I don't need people in my life who just want someone submitting to them.

I also have holes in my shoes. And I have only one pair of pants. I'm a cheapskate with my clothes, it seems...

But when I called the manager, she said a cat is OK. I was "grandfathered in," I suppose. New residents can't have pets, but people who have been here since the previous owner can keep pets. So I will stay. Half of me wanted to move to a cheaper place, but my other half really doesn't want to pack up and move. I'd rather stay here until I can afford a down payment and just stop renting altogether.

To add a rant to this post: it's not the weekend yet.

Edit: Oh, right! I do have a rant. I ordered an LP from Germany on October 9th. It was an expensive album... $70+ with shipping for three records, but I really dig the band and they don't have dedicated distribution in the USA. I was charged on the 10th and told it would ship on the 24th. I haven't heard anything since I purchased it. I emailed the record label again a over a week ago; still nothing.

I tried contacting the band directly, but if that doesn't work, can I file a claim or something with my credit card? The annoying thing is that when I look at the shop now, it the album I ordered is listed as sold out. I was told on the 9th that I had a copy reserved.

From my experience, women constantly test your behaviour to gauge your social status. We all know women are more attracted to character than anything else. So it's not about what you say to them, but HOW you react to them. Women want a dominant one, one who brings people together and can lead well. Let me give an example. A woman makes eye contact at a bar with you, she does so again. This is a subtle unconscious test, if you hover nearby and do nothing you will have failed the test. If you approach you pass. Simple one, right? Obviously not for most guys.
Or she tells you to do something even if you barely know her. For example buy me a drink, or say that she has a boyfriend early on in your interaction.

These kind of tests are easy to pass, just don't
      - Get defensive
      - Try to explain or qualify yourself
      - Don't show her that it shakes you

So just ignore her, shrug your shoulders like you don't give a rat's ass or make a joke out of it.

Recently in class a girl called me strange, I told her that my life would be boring if I was normal. I then proceeded on with the convo and told her she reminds me of someone, showed that person to her and told her why. She got red up to her ears, kinda cute. Got her number a day later, and I'm going to call her anytime soon hehe. But hey bro, I'm not some kind of attraction artist. I'm just good at analysing, but putting it in practice is hard for me. I'll PM you something nice on this topic tommo.

//If you care about the men part, read this as well
As for men... I used an english term in a conversation earlier while talking to a female classmate and a guy from behind told me to keep my language in dutch. I obviously ignored him and used another english term on purpose. I suppose that's what being alpha or dominant is. Two flies with one stone mother fucker. Owned the guy and showed the girl I didn't give a fuck by keeping my frame. The guy keeps respecting me more and more, just like most other in my class.

However I noticed that there's just 'weaker' males out there who get picked on. They get called names in a 'friendly' manner, or get told to behave a certain way and actually do it. Why them? Why not me? Perhaps it's my dominant frame that doesn't make people do so. The guys that get picked out don't say anything back, they do as they are told and are just pussies in general. Their voice isn't loud, their posture is bad (bend back, looking at the ground often, stiff legs, shoulders forward). And the same list about tests that women give you applies to men testing you as well. Besides that you have to show leadership and dominance. In my project group at school I am the leader, I am making the decisions. I do this right from the start. This way the other guys are glad that they don't have to do it, and I get a higher status. Also I actually enjoy leading people, and it's good practice for my job later.

      Over and out.

      //Rant and rave
I felt like super shit yesterday when I got home from school. I wanted to fap (I'm taking on the NoFap challenge again) and I really wanted to smoke weed. Luckily my dad called for dinner, so I went downstairs. One hour later I go to the NA meeting. I had to read a piece of text to everyone that was about lying, it was an honor. After the meeting I meet some friends and we go to the sports cafe. My day turned out to be really good because of these two things.

Something happened at the sports cafe though. My mate went for a smoke and I go along with him. There's four guys standing next to the door, I reckon they were around 22 years. Just after me and my mate go in they go in as well. While we are talking the other group of guys suddenly mentions the word 'bald' in every sentence. Talking about having no hair on your balls, and what it'd be like to be terminal bald etc. They probaly did this because I am, in fact, bald. I suffer from alopecia universalis as some of you may know. Now this doesn't really shake me, it amuses me really. They are just projecting their insecurities on me. I maintained my frame and conversation with my friend even though we both picked up on their weird behaviour.
I just ignored them obviously, but it still got me thinking. Maybe I should have acted in an other way, or told them something about it. They weren't really 'directly' talking about me. Would like some opinions on what would be the best way to handle in this kind of situation. Thanks.

I found Deftones White Pony on vinyl at Booka-A-Million the other day. I didn't know that place carried vinyl, they have quite a few Blu-ray too.

      Just to rant:
A few weeks ago I just had this feeling that my life was a drum roll on a snare drum; not just a static drum roll, but one that's been going to awhile and about to end with the crashing of a cymbal. 2 days later i woke up in horrible pain and had to go to the hospital followed by surgery a few days later. Its an odd metaphor of my life that just flowed into my head as i got changed one morning. I just hope i dont hear that sound any time soon again...
      End of odd rant

Most of my clothes are hande-me-downs from my cousin. Total cheapskate with clothes. But I think I really need to
buy some good clothes soon. As gavin mentioned a while ago, people treat you SO differently when you wear good clothes.
Doesn't even have to be fancy or expensive. Just go to the thrift store and pick up some awesome clothes for a couple of bucks.

As for shoes, I realised being cheap with them is useless. I bought these work shoes for $30 and they are destroyed with holes and cracks
within 4 months. Much better to buy $100 shoes or something and they will last for 10 years.

Good news about your cat, reminds me of D.B Cooper from Prison Break hehe

Athylus, I'll reply to your PM, thanks!

Not only that, but I feel better when I know I'm wearing something nicer. I'm a bit envious of one man I work with. He's a production worker in a factory. Many of the guys here come in to work wearing sweatpants or even pajamas since we have to change into uniforms before going on the floor. But this guy always comes in dressed classy and cool, always very presentable.

I just hate malls. And shopping in general. But clothes are one of those things that are hard to just run in and grab, or order online.

No matter how much sleep I get, I'm always tired. Through out the week, I sleep for about 6-8 hours.
And during the weekends I sleep somewhere between 10-15 hours. I really have to pull myself out of bed every single morning. It's such a struggle.
I don't have any energy at all. When I get home from school, I just go lay in my bed all evening until I go to sleep. I don't even know why I feel so tired all the time ffs

      ^ Could be diet-related.
Do you get a lot of exercise? If not, exercising regularly can actually give you more energy, contrary to how that may sound. Sleeping 10-15 hours is too much though. Everyone's a bit different as far as their ideal sleeping time, but too much sleep can actually leave you feeling even more tired. Personally, I don't go over 9 hours, though I rarely sleep more than 7-8 hours if I'm at the gym regularly.

Precisely. Being tired usually has less to do with how much sleep you get but more with, when you wake up, are you wating healthy, do you get enough exercise, are you looking at bright screens before sleep, are you stressed, do you do a lot during the day. You have to live healthily to feel energized in the morning.

But seriously, my morning orange actually wakes me up more than my cup of coffee. A citrus fruit in the morning supposedly helps jump-start your metabolism; so I've been told.

I have switched over to boys' sandals. I got tired of shopping for footwear...The 3 pairs of sandals that I bought in september got damaged in a matter of days. I walk to office and back everyday, and the roads are not great..always wet and muddy. Those delicate women's sandals just will not last, even if the brand is good. This time I bought nice and sturdy boys' sandals in the smallest size I could find. They still look huge on my feet and all the girls look at them with disapproval. But I don't care because they're super tough and super comfortable. I'm sure they'll last for a long time.

Yeah, who cares about them. Hell, I'd happily wear a skirt during the summer to keep cool.

Rant: Old friends don't want to go out with me because I used to talk very, very little.
I'm pretty sure that's why anyway. It's really annoying coz they say they want to go somewhere, but then it never ends up happening.
And it's not that they simply don't like me, it's that I used to be awkward, and we'd only go out in groups, so the conversation didn't have to go non-stop.
But those groups are not together anymore obviously coz school's finished and that....
      Just sucks.

Well for the past two years, I've been eating quite unhealthy actually. And I never exercise apart from 2 hours pe at school.
I'm usually too tired to exercise. When I get home from school or work I just don't feel like doing anything at all

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

See I used to also tell myself that I was too tired to exercise, and at times I still fall into this trap. However, I have started to turn it around by telling myself that "I am too tired not to exercise." See, exercising is revitalizing, and so it actually makes one less tired. At the beginning it is rough, but the thing is that you can start with exercising just for 5 minutes at a times, and then slowly increase the amount of time and effort.

The easiest way to exercise is to find something that you like to do. Sports are the best, swimming, running, climbing, horse riding, high jumping, martial arts. Hell anything will do.
If you're not really into people sports you can always just start without a single exercise that you enjoy. I love sit ups and planks, sometimes I just skip workouts and do a few mins of these to get my blood flowing.

Seriously though finding a sport you like is great. I started climbing since start of semester and I've been climbing boulders for 10 hours a week, it's friggin fun and it's an unreal workout.

If you don't enjoy it, you will make up excuses for yourself.

Micro-rant: I hurt my wrist yesterday upon tripping over some furniture, and the pain hasn't gone away yet. It hurts most when I try to clench my fingers into a fist, or hold on to things tightly. I've been keeping it on ice though, so we'll see.

Macro-rant: I've been feeling really dizzy and disconnected from reality as a whole over the past few weeks. I feel like I'm always half-asleep, and when I try to really focus on something I get a few intense moments of clarity but then it all snaps back. I've tried sleeping it off, working it off, eating it off, and a million other things, but no matter what I'm left in this daze. Lots of my friends/coworkers have noticed a change in my personality as well, but their concern just make me feel guilty and bothersome.

      Hmm...
