The weather outside is fuckin amazing

it's like 55-60 degrees or something. It feels like spring <3 even though we're supposed to get rain and snow this week later on :3 also, checkeredhearts, I haven't seen if you posted near way to live in this thread, to see if we're nearby D:

I was actually able to formulate a question for the Guest Speaker today in the Biochemistry Seminar. She was talking about Auxin and how a specific pathogen can release them to trick a plant to accepting it while it steals the plant's resources.

She said that it was a good question, I felt a little happy considering I'm in a room with a bunch of Biochemists professors, Geneticists professors, and graduate students who are probably too cocky and bored to even pay attention to the speaker's content.

I was afraid at first because I was worried that some other person might think it's a silly question (but that's just me being paranoid since that would be disrespectful).

And all the speakers in previous weeks were all males, and I couldn't understand crap of what they said, but she made hers so comprehensible to match our level, and she was a nice person too when she did her preparation speech to us before we head to the seminar room. (Normally the speaker prepares a speech to see what kinds of questions we can ask them, and it can help them better in getting their message to the actual seminar that starts around 4 PM).

I feel somewhat happy, and I managed to get the scantrons I need for the political science exam this Friday. I think I will do well, I hope I do.

It was 90F degrees here in downtown Austin today. Tomorrow is supposed to be about the same.

It was really hot.

However, it felt more like what this north Austin weather station reported.

I am happy because DV is no longer lagging and because I finally got brave enough to change out the host info before the fake site was closed!

I also got tired of opening and closing my bedroom door several times within a few minutes because my dog couldn't decide if she wanted in or out... so, yesterday, I carved her out a doggy door. It looks more like a small window lol- she has to jump through it

But she's loving it and so am I

I also put a clothes rod through a built-in shelving section of my wall. Now I just need hubby to let me borrow a "screw driver" (?) for "screws" with no line through it. I can never remember what they're called lol, then I'll remove most of the shelves and have myself a proper [tiny] closet.

The meeting I had to go to for my daughter went well too... except they gave me the wrong time. And since everyone was there, I told them about the letters my youngest boy has been giving me, so they're going to start searching for a counselor for him.

Just finished typing 101 terms for my Political Science class, and I put them on quizlet to make a multiple choice test (since the actual is multiple choice), and I made a 98% on my first try!

CRAMMING FOR THE FREAKING WIN BABY!!!!!!!!!!

I better ~~rape~~ own this test tomorrow!!! If I can get a 98% on a practice exam, I sure as hell better be able to do something good tomorrow. Political Science, YOU ARE GOING DOWN!!1

(inb4 I cry and complain on how the test was when I'm done taking it).

It wasn't that great, I didn't have any control at all. It was my first time going lucid in several months though so I'm pretty happy about that, I had forgotten how fun LDing could be.

It's always so dark and wet around here, you never really feel like doing anything. The weather's getting warmer though so only a few weeks left before we start complaining about the heat (hopefully).
