When you make a new post, do you read it over before clicking submit? How many times do you read your own post? Or do you just write it and submit it as it is? How long do you spend on your posts? |

I choose my words very carefully and rarely have to edit. I HATE when I have the message at the bottom saying that I've edited. Usually when that happens I delete it and post it again. Serious. |
|
I try to avoid the edit message as well but I usually make typos or leave out entire words while I'm typing and don't realize it even after I've reread my post. It isn't until I hit submit that I catch the mistake but by then I've already desecrated my post with that blasphemous edit message. |
|
I write something. Wander off, write some more shit. Then i forget what i was writing. Then i delete everything i just wrote and start over to write what i ACTUALLY wanted to write. Then i read it, find mistakes. Fix it. Read it over. Forget what i'm doing . Stare at my screen for 10 mins. Read it over again. Post it. Then read it over, then i edit it. Post done. And it feels great to edit inb4 the edit message. |
|
So weird. I was just thinking before about deleting a post and posting it again to get rid of the edit message. Not because I wanted to do it. Was just thinking about it for no reason in particular lol Also weird that some people actually do it lol |
|
I usually type up the whole thing, then submit it after briefly checking it over. 20% of times I end up wanting to edit it right away, before I get the edit message with it. But a few times I do end up getting it. |D |

I usually don't revise it. I just type it up and then post it. That's why my looooooooong posts usually have errors hahaha! |

I just type whatever the fuck comes into my head, read it over as I type (har har doing that right now although when this is posted it will be in the past but right now that's in the future but for you it's in the past). |

I'm kind of a perfectionist too. I reread my posts a couple times before posting and make a few tweaks here and there, preview them, post and reread them, etc. |

depends on what the post is. if it's got long complicated thoughts, then i go back and touch it up. if it's somethnig ive said over and over and over again, like anytthing I post in on topic, im confident that ive said it right without looking at it because i know the information inside and out. somethnig im posting new needs to be cirtiqued. things that have no real importance i just let stream right from my brain onto the page. |
|
i write it, click submit, then skim over it afterwards. Though now my "a" key doesnt feel like working on the first hit so i have to be sure to look at the screen when im typing which can give my backspace button quite a workout (and the equals button cause i always hit that by accident) |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
I don't see the problem with having an "edited" marker at the bottom of your post. If you edit it immediately after posting/delete it and post again, you've essentially still edited it, you're just hiding it from the people, which really is quite pathetic. |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

I don't care about getting the edit message, but I usually read over my posts several times before posting them. |
|
I start typing in the quick reply box, and if it's anything other than a quick one-liner, I'll "go advanced" and go through the preview at least once before posting. |
|
Depends on what I type, entirely. Can go from chat like discussion where I don't inspect anything into full fledged articles that take up 3000 pixels of height that I read through at least 10 times. |
