      Don't worry about the intent part so much. In the world of sorcery, somebody that simply knows intent exists, is using intent.
      If you really want I can go on about that, but to answer your question, to have LDs consistently you should probably follow the sleep schedule that produces the best results. For me, all I have to do is go to bed like I normally would, get up after 8 hours, then do whatever I want(besides dozing off) for around an hour so I can let my brain regain its logic and full awareness, then I go back to sleep, preferably on my back, as that seems to give me the best results. When I do this, It almost NEVER fails.
