The Nomad Chronicles

I leap out of bed, a black werelion. I cast a protection spell over WinterFae, and open a portal to the Moon. Halfway through the wormhole, I hear Raven calling me. I open a side portal in the wormhole, and fly to her house on the astral plane. She is surrounded by wraith Templars in the desert under the full moon with her sword drawn. She and I nod. We commence a move we have done together so many times in the past, but I can't remember how we know. As she throws her sword at one, throwing knives fly out of her as she spins, I teleport behind every other Templar, assassinating them. Then, we run in opposite circles with our swords drawn, decapitating the rest. A putrid purple smoke evaporates from the empty soulless armor. Gross.

I open a portal to the Moon. Raven and I go into the balancing pools. I feel very black and white. I show her how my physical foot looks. She smiles when I tell her it's so much better.

A black pigeon flies down with a note on its leg, from the Moon Orcs. "Moon Tribe: URGENT MESZAGE Frum DREAMHAKKERZ AKA MOON ORKZ
YR TEMPLARZ ATTAKK MOON ORKZ. VVE LOVE FIIGHT. TEMPLARZ STEAL MOON ORK JADE IDOL. TEMPLARZ KIDNAP PSYCHICK BROTHERZ WARLORD, THE GOBLIN KING. WAR IN PARALLEL UNIVERSE, PHYSICAL PLANE. MOON ORKZ REQUEST AID. PLEAZE INFILTRATE ENEMBY BYASE MOON ORKS HAVE NOT SO STEALTH. SIGNLAZ RESCUE OF IDOL AND GOBLIN KING BY PILLAR OF GREEN FLAME, THEN MOON ORKZ ATTAKK TEMPLAR COMPOND. mahalo"

I summon, Jo, my astral beast, and ride out of the Biodome and meet the orc messenger outside the gates. Raven flies on a broom and hovers above the ground. "HAILZ MOON TRIBE. VVE ALVVAYZ GET BOOT FROM AI IN BIODOME, WE FIGHTING, ALWAYZ, YES? DREAMHAKKERZ!" the orc riding his giant beetle laughs uproariously.

"I TAKE YOU! TEMPLARZ TUNNEL INTO GOBLIN CITY TO KIDNAP KING AND CONTINUE TO OUR VVORLD TO TUNNEL TO ORKKEN IDOL. WE GO TO GOBLIN CITY!"

The Moon Ork opens a portal to a lush green planet. We are standing on a hill with a view of a beautiful mountain city integrated into the mountain itself. The goblins themselves look like they are part of the mountain. There is a strange flag flying which makes me feel sick to look at. The Moon Ork explains the flag means the goblin city is in distress.
I smell something strange... a faint scent... blood, human blood, and demon's breath... There is a soft spot on the ground. I dig into a hole, I am falling. I hit the floor about twenty feet down. Shit, my foot hurts. I strained my ankle, I think. Raven lowers a rope down. I strike my staff on the ground. Light. Hmm... I'm some kind of wizard in this world? I try to fly out. No flight. Right. Physical plane. I sniff the ground. I smell metal, iron, steel. "AH! ZSECRET ENTRANCE! SMART MOON ASSASSINS! VE GO PREPARE FOR FRONTAL ASSAULT!"
I suddenly feel a little animal presence on my shoulder. Gypsy? My blind kitten, Gypsy is sitting on my shoulder. She has cute orangey wings. She meows and flies at the speed of sound silently through the underground maze and returns to me in a second. She meows in my ear, and transmits a map of the area.
"I see," I explain to Raven.
"Sh, speak with minds," she says.
"Right. This place is huge, and connects with the underground of the Orks Moon Castle, and the Templars' Castle. I think we should focus on freeing the Goblin King first."
"Right. Looks like this was built by Templars, not goblins." Raven and I shapeshift into Templars. We march along the tunnel, trying to look and sound Templar-ish. We fall in behind some Templars that are mumbling something about a dungeon. We follow them to a dungeon countless stories underground. I hear moanings of many different prisoners. As the great wooden door opens, a foul reek emanates from below.
ME: "We have to focus on the Goblin King."
RAVEN: "Hmm... No. Fuck this."
Raven thrusts two great lances through the six Templars in front of us. They perish in silence. Raven picks up the keys, and pops in in a lock entitled: Master Lock, and all the doors of the jail pop open. Madness ensues as all kinds of Templar prisoners make a break and attack the Templars in the halls of the prison. We run through the battle, and see the Goblin King, ten feet tall, with a large stone in one hand, and a steel post in the other. He shoves the beam into the stone, creating a makeshift warhammer. He roars in anger and crushes Templars with his bare hands.
ME: "Should we give the signal?"
RAVEN: "We still need the Orkken Idol."
"You not find Brother Idol through stealth. I will show you: war!"
The Goblin King roars like a crocodile and smashes his warhammer on the fabric of time space, creating a hole. We step through. Orks and Templars are at war on a huge hilly battlefield full of dead trees. On the highest hill on a platform, stands a jade Ork, about three feet tall. Some kind of power is beaming out of it, apparently giving the Templars power.
RAVEN: "Signal."
ME: Now?
RAVEN: Yes. Now.
ME: You got it.
I envision green flame, and slam my staff into the ground as Raven teleports to the idol. A great pillar of fire rises from the ground, green as forest night. I see Raven snatch the idol, and she tosses it to a great Ork general, riding a wolf-bear. He catches it, and places it on a space on his chest armor. He suddenly morphs into a giant jade Ork, with his wolf-bear beside him. The jade Ork grabs Templars and tosses them into the sky as his wolf-bear tears through them, ripping them apart. Raven and I open a portal to the Templar Fortress. A major siege is already underway with thousands of troops.
We decide to infiltrate the Templar Fortress fron underneath, and destroy them from the inside out. Raven opens a portal to their underground. We morph into Templars again, and assassinate from the inside. When we make it to the top of the castle, the goblins and orks greet us. We cheer, and the dream fades to white.
