The part where you mentioned the screaming women is relatable. Last night I woke up and heard what i thought was a woman screaming for help. I didn't know if it was in the distance or if it was upstairs cause there was a lot of noise, mainly from their dog. It just gave me so much anxiety that i wanted to block out all noise. Cause you want to help someone but at the same time it could be a trick or false alarm. Than you remember the world isn't perfect and you wont be able to help everyone. Sorry if this got somewhat ranty. ^^"

The part where your friend and you were talking about taste and function is also relatable. I tend to balance taste and for function though. I recently just finished the anime "restaurant to another world". If you watched it, it could either change your mind or annoy the heck out of you. To me it was annoying at times but was also entertaining cause of the stories and good food in it.

About the screaming- thanks. Was the screaming from waking life or was it like an auditory dream thing? I had a night terror once and when (I thought) it ended I heard a woman screaming from accross the road. However when I asked them the next day, they didn't know what I was talking about. Unless they were just denying it, it might hve been an auditory dream. But at the time I concluded that both she and I had the same night terror visit us.

About the food - I'm sure there is something to be said for eating for taste. My sister never understood why I am so utilitarian when it comes to food. I developed an eating disorder at a younger age which I felt like I "stabilized" 3-4 years ago and have continued to eat this way since, which is why I don't dabble in tasting now.

I didn't know that was a thing. Not sure what it was but it could have been auditory.

Oh, sorry. Its good that you were able to fix it. When it comes to taste and function, function is more important.

Yeah I think its possible to dream the sensation of hearing in a way that sounds very physical. Thanks
