early:
+(f) some (people?) off in the distance, I come into a courtyard and enter into a room that has a soaking wet towel on the ground amidst a pool of water, and I'm hesitant to step on it [woken by wife snoring]
later:
+ [vivid, detailed]: on a farm, standing on a patio overlooking the fields. The farmer is to my left, I observe his (son?) going out into the fields. He goes into a grove of trees in order to get some farming equipment and I'm thinking that's a really long way to go to get and put back the equipment. He comes riding on a piece of farming machinery like a tractor. He's driving around back and forth on the thing, it has a huge roller on it with spikes that creates large divots in the ground kind of like a lawn aerator. There's a small animal like a dog or cat and it's running around the tractor and I'm concerned that it will get run over and the farmer and I are (trying to warn the driver of the tractor?). Then the tractor is a multi-legged "stomping" thing with about 6-8 legs on a side, mechanical legs and retract up and thrust down into the dirt. It is being used to break up the stiff dirt into soft dirt. Then the driver is walking in deep, wet mud with his own legs to break up the stiff turf.
I'm talking to the farmer and he's saying I'll need to be sleeping out in the fields. This doesn't bother me but I say I'll need more pillows, about 3-4 more. He wonders why I need so many, and I explain that I need 3-4 pillows in order to account for my bad back in order to prevent my back from sagging in the bed.
I'm walking up a hill past the farm and looking at the roads leading away. The (farmer?) is standing with me and points to one of the roads indicating that that's the one that people ride down. I start to correct him that I don't recognize the road but then I look and "remember" it, and I notice that there are a lot of people skating (skateboards) and boarding (snowboards, but no snow) down the road and hopping off of jumps and heading down the hill off the road. I start riding back down the rough asphalt road we're standing on, on a skateboard, back down the gentle slope towards the farm. I'm intently watching the road surface, there are some (not very deep) uneven places, potholes and exposed pipes that I'm riding over. I'm a bit concerned about falling with the speed I'm going and losing skin on the asphalt. I'm zig zagging to bleed off some speed. I eventually end up back in the farm house and I'm thinking there is some way to continuously skate back up to the top of the hill and keep on going. I'm thinking my legs are tired from all that standing on the skateboard.
