Reverse False Awakening

I was working on a top secret project I can't talk about here, trying to create a visualization loop that would carry over into sleep. But I didn't notice I fell asleep. I had experienced some strange sensations in my back previous to falling asleep.
Light HandsI'm laying in bed, doing my visualization mantra, when I hear Elvis Costello's "When the smoke gets in your eyes" start to play. I figure I left a cassette playing. I then imagine myself playing a punk rock versions of the song.
Recall: 10/10
Sleep: Good
Sleep Position: Unknown
The song ends, there is silence in my room once again, when I feel an odd sensation in my hand. I figure will focus on it and try to amplify the sensation. I do, and notice a soft light being emitted from my hand. I pull the blankets over my head for pure darkness to make sure I'm not mistaking an outside light source for my light hand.
The feeling fades, and I decide I'd better try that again. I concentrate, feel the weird sensation in my hand again, see the soft light again, then suddenly this tiny point of light appears below the palm of my hand. It's kind of vibrating, and making a high pitched buzzing noise, almost like a small insect. In the light being emitted, I notice a tiny little fruit fly crawling on the inside of my blanket.
I recognize that the appearance of this fruit fly is a dream like occurrence, due to me focusing on the tiny light with insect like qualities. But I'm more interested in holding my focus to create the little buzzing light. I play around with focusing my attention to create the light hands for awhile, and don't even notice that I've actually woken up.
Took me awhile to realize it was a dream. My first clue was the cassette player, which I haven't had in years, then I realized it occurred in the house I grew up in, not where I currently live. I was semi lucid there for a bit, but didn't do anything with it, was more interested in the dream
