      Generating objects in dreams

I recently had my 2nd lucid dream recently and i just wanted to talk about generating objects. in my 1st LD, i found it to be quite easy to make objects appear. in my second one, i tried to 'spawn' a shotgun in my hands because my house was being overrun by zombies. i tried and tried but it just wouldn't appear in my grasp. eventually i pretended like it was on my back and was successful in pulling a giant tactical halo-like shotgun off my back. has anyone else come to the conclusion that trying to 'spawn' something that is out of sight is much easier than right in front of you?
      just curious!

I had my first spawning experience not that long ago, where i tried to make an onion appear in my hand. It was difficult and turned into a lot of other things before it was an onion, but Lo! It was an onion at last.
(my comment is excluding the crazy ass hell-fire i normally summon to destroy DC's and whatever else i feel like. because i don't know if that would be considered spawning.)

haha i know what you mean. it's hard at first to keep an object consistent. and yes i would consider hell fire spawning, there is not much more fun than pyrokenesis!

Yeah, it's great for when you're being attacked or when you have a wild hair up your ass and you just want to destroy something.

Yes, I have definitely to come to the conclusion that it is easier to summon objects if you don't see it. I always just look around for a box and expect the item to be in that.

It's much more effective to just "know" you have the object in your pocket or in that backpack that you left over there... compared to making objects appear right in front of you.

My reasoning behind this is because having things suddenly appear isn't natural; finding an object of choice is easier for the dream to process.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I was thinking of trying to summon something or someone into view by imagining the object in question to be beamed in like in Star Trek.

It seems like this could be really effective once learned.

yeah these all seem effective. i have also just waived my hand in front of my face, and can make things appear in the eclipse of my hand

I've had a few differing experiences. It's definitely easiest and most intuitive to make objects appear out of sight. I've called in objects and DCs in this manner, because it's less 'making them appear' than it is 'knowing they're already there'. I've figured out a good way of doing it is to imagine the object (perhaps a building) is growing just out of sight. In this way I'm able to look away, begin the growth of something, then look back and enjoy watching it appear without an enormous struggle with my brain.

I've also made an oxygen mask appear on my face, but I'm not sure which category this is in. I feel as though I could see the thing the whole time, but part of it was, again, believing that it was always there.

I recently had a lucid dream in which I met my dream guide, who taught me how to summon objects. I summoned a gun as well, simply by reaching down without looking and picking one up. It looked like one of those shotguns from Halo, but it fired small rockets. It was pretty fun blowing stuff up.

Yeah I think it's easier, I do the same thing. Like once I reached into my pocket expecting a chocolate bar and pulled out an aero, and one time I stuck my hand under my bed to find a wand, haha. I've never even tried making something just appear in front of me, actually.

how well does this looking away method work for summoning DC, instead of objects, and also I'm pretty sure im right on this but just making sure, you dont have to have seen a person in real life to summon them right?

The way I summon things is to put my hand down, then imagine it in my hand. Feel the weight of the object, the texture, KNOW it is there, then just bring it into vision.

Either that or I use what I call the 'flick' method, which came naturally to me when I first tried summoning lucid glasses (which are also a great idea). Hold your hand out infront of you, set your intent for an object, then flick your entire wrist and voila! There it is in your hand!
