Being omnipotent
Being more of a character or having an imperfect dream self
I'm probably going to have to elaborate a bit on this, so here goes. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

#2. In my training, I rarely use powers at all (unless they are powers that help me become more mobile, like the ones you describe). |
|
I don't really enjoy being godly because I feel like it takes the fun out of things. It's useful for nightmares when I need to kill the monster real quick, but in a normal lucid it only kills the story. I don't want the ability to destroy an entire planet with my finger, but I still want smaller magic like summoning dragons and breathing fire. |

Previously known as Lucidis.
I like playing god when it comes to large scale epic fights, but I'm usually pretty humble in "normal" situations. |

#2 for the same reasons. When it comes to adventurous lucids (which are my favorite kind), I find it much more enjoyable to be a powerful character within the scenario, but I leave many of my powers up to chance. I try not to control my DC's - unless it's a specific goal that I have at the time - and I will usually try a 'power' to get myself out of a situation, rather than erasing the situation, altogether. I relate adventurous lucid dreams to video games or other virtual environments - in that it's fun to run around and have Godlike powers, every once in a while, but I'd much rather marvel at the dream characters that are strong enough to actually present a challenge. |

It's somewhat mixed for me- I like having total control and maneuverability of my dreams, playing the role of an all powerful character, being able to conjure up the most radical, epic, and monstrous of beasts to aid me in glorious, glorious combat. When I was young, I was very "low", so to say, I usually didn't have any control of what I was told to do, and I think that stems into the side of me that urns for more power, but I've left that behind... |
|
Have a Good One!
I find the more I try to play God, the more my dream and its characters rebel. When I relax and become lucid and let the dream flow, harmonizing my will with the surroundings, it becomes blissful. |
|
You know I ought to make that my next goal. I'm always trying to control EVERYthing. I guess because I feel I don't have enough control in my real life. So in my lucid dream i can do anything and be anything, and do it or be it to anyone I want. BUT, I always wake up too soon. |
|
Figures that I would get completely f'cked by my previous post. Had a semi-lucid nightmare last night, in which nothing worked, and I spent most of my time running away from an immortal, invincible serial killer. Tried to throw some 'Hadouken' fireballs at him, at wasn't able to conjure up a single one. The only thing that actually worked was when he tried to throw an unlit molotov cocktail at me and I 'force-pushed' it back at him before waking myself. |

There's nothing quite like having absolute control over the entirety of your dreamscape. |
|
I enjoy having complete control in my dreams. If I really want to go on just being a character in something that heavily resembles my waking life, I'll just stay awake or stay non-lucid in all of my dreams. I lucid dream to escape my mundane reality, not relive it. |
|
The 2nd of course, went all-powerful for a while and got bored quickly, so used that power to create a world where I would have rules, laws and limitations to make myself weaker, its been a lot of fun so far. |

Well, I guess it just depends. I really like to explore, that's probably my favorite thing to do in LDs, and to learn more. Though sometimes it can be hard to not be omnipotent, it's only fun sometimes. |

i guess i could say im a mixture of both since i cant die (ive been stabbed and shot multiple times in dreams and kept walking other times no one gets the chance to touch me since i either push them/crush them/or teleport them away) and i always have powers specifically telekinesis like powers were i can just lift and crush anyone i want, the only thing that bothers me is that there this big alien monster in a few of my dreams that i just cant kill and hes always killing my dc's (if anyone has any ideas on how i can kill this asshole give me some tips cause i don't like him and he's killed lots of my dream friend) |

[Insert cool picture/quote about dreams/dream goals here]
Both are fun. I'm not going to chose because I love both, it really depends on what I want to do. Fot example, if I want to fight some awesome character, there's no fun in destroying him with 1 snap of the fingers. However, when I want to get some pizza, why waste my time looking for a pizza hut? |
|
This thread has gave me entire more motivation to have an LD, after a while it would get boring, as it would be so repetitve. But it would be awesome at first. |

#2 but with the powers of #1 just in case |
