Hey guys. I'm a total newbie and haven't had any LDs yet. My question: personally, how long did it take for you to have your first LD, and after that how long till your next one? Is there anyone who gets them every night as he wishes and if so, since when are you into that whole lucid dreaming thing? |

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.
After accidentally discovering about it on Youtube, it took me five weeks. My first was two days ago, and I'm waiting for the next. |
|
took me four weeks. by the way do not try WILD. try DIELD instead |
|
It took me three or four weeks to have my first. I haven't had my second yet (my first was only last night). |

I have had a few lucid dreams over the years, but here is my learning curve since I committed to learning and started keeping track of my daily habits. |
|
It was last year that I started keeping a dream journal with the vague intention of attaining lucidity - mostly, I just wanted to study my own subconscious imagination and thought processes. Around four or so months ago, I started attempting to WILD, and first started changing my daily habits to incorporate DILD strategies. Through a non-stop campaign to get myself lucid, I finally reached it one month ago. It was one year of working entirely well worth it. If you want quick results, though, WILD is not the way to go, honestly. (Though it is entirely possible, you'll probably annoy yourself long before you actually get a lucid that way.) I found the best strategy is actually using a binaural beat while you sleep. Not only does it increase dream recall, but it will help you greatly in attaining lucidity. |

I've come back to lucid dreaming after a year so I already had some experience, my first lucid dream since practicing again was only two days after starting. Although my very first lucid dream was about 2 weeks after starting. |
|
Goodnight and good luck. On and onwards, dreamers!
I'd say about a month of keeping a dream diary, had various semi lucid points during that and an ever increasing ability to dream recall, to the point where I could write an a4 page or more of detail on multiple dreams a night. |
|
My very first was random, but after about two weeks of consistency, dedication, and hard work I had about 5 LDs in 3-4 days. |
|
DILD: 150 | DEILD: 8 | WILD: 20
I had my first lucid dream after six days of practising to recall and recognizing my dream sign. Although it just a low level lucid dream. It was two days ago and I'm doing my best to have my next one |
|
I've never really had a real LD (well, I had some, but they were far too short to count), but I think I had to wait for about a month... But that's long ago, I think I completely lost my ability to dream recall on a regular base and my WILD attempts always lead to a instant sleep x3 Well.. I think I really, really have to try. But it's difficult with work and such. |

I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love.
Love above all.
Current goal: Improving my ability to remember my dreams.
English isn't my native language, so please be patient with me D:
first two ld's were random, even before i began training. and my next 3 lds, were about month afterwards. |

Had my first LD when I was 5... |

Oof.
Eh, I'd been trying for about a year when it started to work. Now I've had three, and it's actually starting to feel easy. Kinda. |

Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
When I first found out about Lucid Dreaming, I read up tutorials on this site, and spent a lot of time doing Reality Checks and being aware of my surroundings. I had a Lucid Dream the first time I tried, was really surprised I had one the first night of trying. But I suppose it's understandable considering how much time I spent on Lucid Dreaming during that day I found out. The dream wasn't much to write home about, it was just me running from something then realizing I'm dreaming. I done a spin because I remembered someone had said something about it on this site. I still remember waking up that day and feeling great. |
|
It took me about a month for my first LD, and probably another month for my next one. I've had around 15 LD's in 2 years, but I havent been terying very hard. If you just reality check alot, you'll get one soon. |

I had one random LD when I was a child (as a nightmare escape). |
|
DILD: 123 ; WILD: 10 ; DEILD: 9
Took my 1 week although the lucid was very short and not very vivid. But then again, I started with 0 recall. |
|
Not counting the first 10 or so months after I found out about Lucid Dreaming but didn't actually try anything, it only took me two weeks. However its been about 9 months since my first LD, I did take about 4 months off in between, and since starting again I haven't been using the same high intensity energy I had when I had my first LD. |

5 months |

Let's see....I had my first two lucid dreams in the same night 7 days after discovering this site |

Still counting... |
