I could write a book about why I lucid dream but I am going to keep it relatively short. |

Too many reasons. But the beauty of dreams seems like too much to pass up. |

Prior to LDs there would be days where I was bored, or felt like I didnt have much to look forward to, or my next vacation or fun event was weeks or months away. I was not really depressed, but just sad or 'blue'. Seriously, I just dont get that way anymore. Every night is an event to look forward to. Even if I dont LD I recall one or more dreams and feel like I have been to some neat place. When I wake up I look forward to the day since I have just had enough fun time that the balance of the day isnt going to change my bright outlook, and the next fun time is just later that day (i.e. nighttime). |

I lucid dream because there are no rules, and I am free. When I lucid dream, I do things that I could never do in waking life. Everything we remember are memories, and I figured if I have vivid memories of phasing through walls and flying with wings, then I guess that's as real as it can get. Oh, plus it feels awesome and makes me feel better about myself. |
