I havent had many vivied experiences, but because ive never really had one of this lifelike vivid dreams or done anything icredible like flying, im still motivated to lucid dreaming because of the fun i can have. Im guessing as you get experience and fly ect ect you want to begin to explore your mind. |

REALITY CHECK
Ah...thanks for replying! Yeah I agree with you that lucid dreaming is a lot about the fun you can have when you are not busy...I think that keeping a DJ is pretty important I hope I can stay committed to keeping one. And you mentioned getting experience from dreams. I never thought of that...in a way doesn't that mean that you can double your experience through lucid dreams, or at least increase it, resulting in a more intelligent lifestyle? So gaining experience be a good reason to LD? |

Exactly, its a very nice way to explore yourself, because everything inside your dreams is created by your subcouncious. I think youll find when you start getting bored of doing the incredible and impossible (funny huh) youll start to explore and learn. Maybe "meet" your dream guide or subcouncious |

REALITY CHECK
For me LDing is deeply tied into spiritual exploration. I do enjoy the normal stuff like having super powers, but I care most about learning and growing. It is a long story, but rest assured I have had many spiritual events happen during dream time. |

I like to lucid dream because the dreamworld is such an amazing place. It is bound by no rules, and is unpredictable. Doing things like flying and using superpowers creates a feeling you can' find anywhere else. It is long journey, and as Suck4Luck said, when you find yourself wondering what other possibilities to do while lucid dreaming. Once you increase your awareness in the dream, and it becomes as vivid as reality, there's no limit what you can experience. |
|
Freedom, opportunity, endless possibilities, adventure, exploration, self/spiritual growth, experiencing unfulfilled desires. The list goes on and on. |

Why do I Lucid Dream? |
|
Because it's an alternate reality where you can do anything without consequences, how cool is that? |
|
Why? I don't know. It just happens sometimes. I can't say I've ever really tried to do it. I had one last night that I didn't know was a dream at all. I woke up and went to the kitchen (FA) and my wife was cooking a big spread of food. She said we were having a guest over for dinner. When the dinner guest arrived, it was Estelle Getty. Nothing seemed out of place until I realized that she's dead, not to mention the fact that there was no way she would have known us anyway. At that point I realized it was a dream but I just went with the flow because the food was good and the dinner conversation was hilarious. |

Because why not? |

I have 8 hours everyday that would otherwise just be spent in darkness and not remembered but with lucid dreaming I can spend that time doing things plus feel great in the morning. I could BS you by saying that I use it for lots of self productive reasons but really I just like to have lots of dream sex and fly |

At first I wanted to lucid dream to just have fun, fly, and all that jazz. But at this point I just find it interesting to explore my mind. |

The sailor does not control the sea, nor does the lucid dreamer control the dream. Like a sailor, lucid dreamers manipulate or direct themselves in the larger expanse of dreaming; however, they do not control it. Lucid dreaming appears to be a co-created experience. ~Robert Waggoner

My Guide to Remembering Dreams!
I'm back!
To go out into space, part of me likes the idea that the afterlife is a dream like realm. Dreaming pretty much is like the ultimate "sandbox" in terms of any place, any situation, any time, anyone. So its can give a sense of adventure depending on the dreams you get (mine for sure), which has been far more entertainning than games/media...... |

Because it's cool. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
i do it because it gives me the power to be the director of the scene that i find myself to be in and from then on its up to me what happens next and all of a sudden an ordinary or even an unpleasant situation turns to something exciting and fun. |
|
I am deeply fascinated by space, so it's kind of my dream (Haha) to explore it in a lucid dream. |
|
I haven't had many lucid dreams, and none of them I have had so far has been centered around myself trying to do something very special (I'm in that early stage where, when you have a lucid dream, you go, "Oh, look at me, I'm flying! . . . What was I doing again? Oh yes, I must make it to the grand Hippo Doctor before it reaches 70:123 PM. . . ." Well, either that, or the dream itself doesn't last long enough for me to carry out my lucid dream intention. |
|
~ until the very end
I lucid dream for every reason. First, to have great fun in unbelievable ways, when I get over controlling that well I will move on to deeper things, such as learning who I really am, improving memory, overcoming fears. I am even up for the negative experiences, though I have not heard of any. I also do it to improve awareness in general, which is a very helpful skill. |
