      Gone Girl

I liked the story and interpretation, but the end wasn't what I imagined.

Lately I've been watching some CG Indie-films (or rather, foreign films) over on Netflix--well, almost. But not for all the titles here. Anyway, here's what I've watched this week:

On Monday, it was The Nut Job, followed by Alpha and Omega.

On Tuesday, it was Tad: The Lost Explorer, followed by Bold Eagles.

On Wednesday, it was Amazon Jack, followed by Yellowbird.

Yesterday (on Thursday), it was Thunder and the House of Magic, followed by Agent FOX, followed by Delhi Safari.

Today (on Friday), it was Koala Kid, followed by The Missing Lynx, followed by Jock the Hero Dog, followed by Khumba.

So there you have it. Some good movies I've been watching for a whole week via my Netflix account. I've also seen DVD copies of some of these titles being sold at the stores. So try watching these titles sometime, okay? 'Cause I'm pretty sure that you--and even your kids--are going to like them.

      That's all for now.

I finally watched Cool World........um it was super meh. The animation was sub par (compare to Roger Rabbit), the plot made no sense, and even after the entire movie was finished, there were more holes than a pair of knitted fingerless gloves.

Star Wars: Episode VII. Honestly, the movie was right up there (dare i say it.....better) with episodes IV-VI. They got rid of all the talking political crap from I-III, added all those familiar references, and threw in just enough spice. I really hope they start to take the rest of the movies in a different direction. I give it 5 out of 5 holocrons. Also, if you see it in theaters, you get to see a preview of Marvels Civil War. I closed my eyes the entire time because I never watch marvel movie previews....unless they're done by fox or some clowns who....wait lemme shut up.

My latest "Doh!" was perhaps a couple of months ago. Watched Crimson Peak because of the makeup trailer seemed to show something in the line of Haunted, Sixth Sense, The Others or Silent Hill, but unfortunately it was simply boring as hell with all those overused screeching violins that always end with that "Boo!!!" thing, regardless of the plot which in my opinion was extremely predictable.

The Danish Girl - brilliantly acted and portrayed; heartfelt and real.
The Revenant - Tom Hardy... this guy. O_O

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- Such a beautiful movie. I recommend anyone who goes to this site to watch it. Watch it by yourself, and let it trigger all sorts of emotions of dreaming, past relationships and everything else. I watched it back to back....just to fully understand it all.

Inside out- The entire film was just....sad. Seemed like the entire movie was a struggle...I wasn't expecting that at all.

Singham Returns- In the genre of over the top Bollywood action movies, I give it a 5/5 because it's the only one I've seen. As far as action movies in general, I give it a 3.5 out of 5. It has some nice action scenes....the movie is just too long.

So after random conversations of people saying "You need to see John Wick". I finally got to see John Wick. This movie....ugh. I hate to say it, was horrible. The best way to describe it would be a "8-bit fighter with 4 stages and a boss". The very first fight scene was neat, and the second one reminded me of the first, and, the third was pretty much the second one all over again....etc etc ETC. The only way I can watch a movie like that is if the lead character was some cocky d-bag full of catch phrases. Nope...he wasn't he was some guy who knew a lot of stuff, and the people he was fighting already knew he knew a lot of stuff, so they couldn't even have the part where they end up eating their own words.

With that said, I say you fast forward to the fight scenes and skip the rest of the movie....seriously. It's not worth the time.

The last movie I've seen is blue velvet by David Lynch; I watched it after twin peaks (which I watched twice). I think I'm growing passionate with David lynch movies.

The Martian. It was slow and overall unrealistic. You need deeper dirt than a few measly inches to grow potatoes! And it didn't follow through on a lot of details. Also, for someone who was trying to ration food he was chewing something in almost every damn scene. Wth

Dang I actually really like that movie. Well... everyone has their own opinion I guess.

Last movie I saw was 'Now you See Me'. It was pretty creative and overall very good although up until the very end that ruined it and honestly made no sense whatsoever.

Similar to me. I mean I enjoyed it and it was quite funny but the poking fun at other super hero movies fell a bit flat after a while because the movie didn't actually have a proper plot itself, also Ryan Reynolds was just annoying tbh.

Revenant - beautifully shot, some cool dream scenes as well.
10 Cloverfield - felt like 2 different movies combined into one. The switch made it a little disappointing.
London Has Fallen - fun action flick, but no great movie
The Brother's Grimsby - lot's of strong belly laughs but definitely not for the kids!!!
Star Wars - enjoyed it and looking forward to what is to come
      Spectre - disappointed
The Martian - I very much enjoyed it, watched in 3D and used many "If I were dreaming" moments imagining being inside some of the more cinematic scenes.

      The Martian

With Matt Damon. Ill tell you what......Outstanding.

Im a total movie snob, and I very, very much enjoyed this movie. I thought it was interesting. Visually appealing. Surprisingly very funny and charming. We are only 3 months into the year, but that was arguably my favorite movie Ive seen thus far.

Strong 9/10, would recommend to everybody.

How to Train Your Dragon - Didn't like it, only had a few good scenes. Clichés and forced emotions.

Yip Man - Really liked this movie! Impressive fighting choreography, emotional story and great eastern soundtrack. The movie also delves deep into the lives of side characters. If I were to give it a rating I'd say 8+/10, but as an martial arts movie it's a solid 9,5 from me.

My dad, The Star Wars nerd of the house brought home 'The Force Awakens' last night. (I didn't get to see it while it was in theaters.)

It might be a very similar plot structure to 'A New Hope' but I'll take it over the prequel trilogy, at least it has some likable characters and good fight scenes. (Not too much CGI either) It actually feels like a real star wars movie. I'd give it a solid B.
